This hotel is stunning — comfy beds, lovely amenities, a great overall setup. But what truly made the trip special was the staff. Piee made check-in smooth and welcoming, Wani in Food & Beverage was fantastic, and the wait staff across all the on-site restaurants were consistently kind and attentive. Maknah at the spa gave a wonderful experience, and Donna made checkout just as pleasant as check-in was. There were several other team members whose names I didn’t catch, but every interaction added to how memorable this stay was. Genuine hospitality like this is rare, and it’s clear the whole team takes pride in it. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Our stay at The Danna was the perfect way to end our trip to Malaysia, and I am genuinely so glad that we chose to make this beautiful resort our final stop. I can honestly say that The Danna is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at when it comes to customer service, hospitality and genuine care for its guests. We have stayed at some very well-known luxury resorts in the past, but The Danna has completely surpassed them all. From the moment we arrived on Langkawi, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. We were greeted with a delicious welcome drink and homemade cookies — such a lovely and thoughtful touch. As we had arrived early, our room was not quite ready. Rather than simply asking us to wait, the hotel arranged for us to use a hospitality suite until our room was ready. This was completely unexpected and made such a wonderful first impression. It immediately showed us just how committed the hotel was to making sure its guests were comfortable. When we entered our booked room, we were absolutely delighted. It was exquisite — incredibly spacious, beautifully presented and simply wonderful in every way. But what really makes The Danna special is its staff. Every member of the team we encountered was attentive, kind, warm and genuinely interested in making our stay memorable. They remembered details about us that we hadn't expected them to remember. For example, they would recall which restaurants we had visited the previous evening and ask us the next morning how our dinner had been. These small personal touches made us feel genuinely cared for. The concierge team were exceptional and incredibly helpful in arranging our excursions. A special thank you to Pie, who was fantastic throughout our stay. If you are staying at The Danna and only have time for one excursion, I would highly recommend booking the mangrove tour through the hotel. It was a wonderful experience and the team made the whole process so easy. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. My husband is vegetarian, and the restaurant team were incredibly accommodating. They were more than happy to prepare dishes off the menu to ensure he had plenty of options. That level of flexibility and willingness to help really stood out to us. And then there is the breakfast… Absolutely divine! There was an incredible choice of cuisines and so much variety that we looked forward to breakfast every morning. Our children were particularly delighted with the waffles and pancakes — they were in heaven! Another lovely personal touch was from Mr Fuad, the Resort Manager, who made the effort to come over to us during both one of our dinners and one of our breakfasts to ask how our stay was going. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really demonstrated the level of care that seems to run through the entire resort. Throughout our stay, we were made to feel like royalty. And that is what I will remember most about The Danna. Yes, the resort is beautiful, the rooms are wonderful, the food is excellent and the location is stunning — but it is the people who make this place truly exceptional. I have stayed at other highly regarded luxury resorts, but I can honestly say that The Danna has set a new standard for hospitality for us. A very special thank you to Mr Fuad, Pie and the entire concierge team, all the restaurant staff, housekeeping, the spa team and every single member of staff who contributed to making our stay so memorable. You made the final few days of our Malaysian adventure incredibly special, and we left feeling genuinely looked after and with memories that we will never forget. Thank you, The Danna. We had an amazing stay at this resort and highly recommend it. The VIP service was exceptional from the moment we arrived, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring every detail was taken care of. The location is perfect, offering easy access to nearby attractions while maintaining a relaxing and exclusive atmosphere. The pools are absolutely fantastic, spacious, beautifully maintained, and ideal for both families and couples. The resort itself is clean, luxurious, and well organized. Every aspect of our experience exceeded expectations, making our stay truly memorable. We look forward to returning and enjoying another wonderful vacation here.

This is the easiest 5 star review I've ever had to write and this hotel sells itself! We travelled as a family of five (3 kids aged 16, 14 and 8) and the hotel way just perfect for all of us. The rooms were immaculate and provided so much space for the whole family. We had adjoining rooms and there was more than enough space for everyone. The hotel vibe was relaxed, luxury and so calm. Everywhere you walked was quiet, quality and perfect. The staff were all lovely, taking the time to speak and check everyone in the whole family were okay. The food in all of the restaurants were of a great standard for all meals. There was nothing we wanted for from the buffet but still menu options were available at no additional cost. The pool was huge and never crowded which was the whole vibe of the hotel. It overlooked the sea and hotel loungers were available on the golden beach front which felt safe and provided a beautiful view into the warm sea with a great location to go for walks, trips out to the waterfalls and even wonder across to some lovely little street food places selling local food if you fancy it. The gym had good quality machines within it and everything you need to keep you ticking over during your holiday. This was probably our favourite hotel and holiday as a family we've had and we have been on many. If you book this, it's worth every penny and you won't be disappointed!
