The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi

One of the most breath-taking properties I've visited. Amirul did a fantastic job durin check-in, explaining every single detail we needed to know. Splendid view at Horizon, special mention to Jia for being very accommodating to our special requests (vegetarian). On the second day, we decided to dine at Langkawi kitchen instead after being seated and served with starters. She made us feel at ease with the change in plans. Truly a star in hospitality. Langkawi Kitchen breakfast spread and a-la carte menu was impressive. Loved their petit servings from the menu. Dinner was even more enjoyable with Chef Jega's personalised menu recommendations and his dishes are still unforgettable as I write. ADOFB Karthik made us feel warm as he greeted us while dining. Nadia and Qistina were equally as pleasant in attending to us. Overall, this resort is a gem and every single person that we came across made us feel special with their genuine hospitality and service with a smile (I wish I could remember all their names). Memories made for a lifetime, that's for sure :)

We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi for our birthday and babymoon and honestly, it was one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had 🤍 From the moment we arrived, the front office team greeted us so warmly and made us feel very welcomed. When we went into the room, we were so surprised to see the birthday and welcome baby decorations prepared for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really made me feel welcomed by the RC team. They even prepared a cake for us too 🥹 The breakfast throughout our stay was also amazing. So many choices and everything tasted really good. I am so touched by all the staffs. They are very attentive and friendly, always checking in on guests with a smile. Even at the beach and pool area, the service was consistently excellent. Towels always ready, staff were always around to assist, and everyone was just so warm and genuine. One of the highlights during our stay was our dinner at the Beach Grill restaurant. There was one Malay waiter who served us — slightly chubby and fair-skinned (I’m so sorry I forgot your name 😭). He was extremely kind and accommodating throughout the dinner. Since I’m pregnant, I requested to change the mussels to prawns in my seafood linguine, and he happily helped with the request. Thank you as well to the chef for preparing it specially for me. He even helped to take such beautiful pictures of me and my husband that night. Thank you so much to him and the whole Beach Grill team for making our dinner extra special. Something to share - on our first night, we found out the water heater is not function. The maintenance team came to check and informed us that it would take around 2 hours to repair, so they can only do the next day. At that point I was already exhausted and honestly thought I would just sleep and shower the next morning instead. But unexpectedly, the manager on-duty called and offered us an upgrade to junior suite. After moving, we realised it was on Level 3 and going up and down the stairs was quite difficult for me in my condition. The team didnt hesitate to upgraded us again to the Rainforest Villa just to make sure I would be comfortable. We were genuinely so touched by the effort and care from the team, especially considering it started from what we felt like a small inconvenience (water heater issue). Special thanks as well to the buggy staff, housekeeping team, maintenance team, and the manager on duty that night for taking such good care of us. Everyone handled the situation with so much kindness and professionalism. What stood out the most throughout the stay was how sincere the hospitality felt. Every single staff member we met made us feel cared for. You can really tell the RC team puts a lot of heart into what they do. Thank you again for such an unforgettable babymoon experience. We’ll definitely come back again next time — hopefully with our baby Just a small area for improvement — the gazebo/pool seating area and the Beach Grill restaurant can get quite hot sometime esp when there’s no wind, so eating or relaxing there can feel a little uncomfortable at times. Maybe the management could consider adding more cooling options for guests. Another small thing was the private pool at our villa, which was a little dirty when we moved rooms at night. Not sure if it was due to the rain/leaves or because the room transfer happened quite late, perhaps this is something the team can look into as well. Other than that, everything else was truly wonderful.

We booked a beach-access villa for 6 nights, which came with a private infinity pool and generous living spaces, including dressing, storage and a rainforest view bedroom enclosed in glass and fully-eclipsing blinds. We asked for villa 25 as it suited our desire for privacy. It was perfect. The resort is amazing, but even more special is the team. Everything worked in perfect and seamless harmony. This is the type of service that dreams are made of. You can switch off completely from your stresses and focus on pure rest. It was a delight to experience. The resort is generous. There were treats and gifts. Some treasured items they offered, we kept for souvenirs of our special time here. We hope to come back; our busy lives restrict our time, but we hope. I have not named all the team members who were special. There were too many. But I would like to mention Qistina, Bella and the whole Butler team who were simply outstanding. Now I feel guilty, not mentioning the amazing teams at the Langkawi Kitchen, the Beach Grill, the housekeeping and the friendly gardening team keeping everything looking effortlessly beautiful. Thanks to all for making our time with you completely wonderful! We saw a mass of wildlife around too, which enabled us to take some brilliant pictures. The takeaway message is this: If you’re reading this and deciding where to stay, stop looking and book here. It’s magical, epic and fabulously memorable. We feel very happy with the whole experience.

An absolutely unforgettable stay. I was absolutely blown away by the service here — from Fan at Hai Yan, who, upon hearing that we wanted to try the desserts, surprised us with a mango pomelo sago and fried banana at the end of dinner; to the kind buggy drivers who recommended things for us to do; to the housekeeping staff and managers that kept us plied with kind letters; and of course Anas, our butler, who provided exemplary service and even had our room decorated for my birthday with balloons, banners, cake and a bouquet of roses. The absolute best stay I’ve ever experienced in my life. Thank you to everyone for making our experience so pleasant! I can finally understand why everyone raves about the Ritz Carlton service. We will be sure to return here to Langkawi as soon as we can.

My first time stay at the Ritz Carlton hotel and it's my best one. This hotel is located inside a jungle with trees of million-years old. Definitely a big YES for nature lovers. My son is so excited when seeing the monkeys, hornbills, toucans, squirrels,..
