The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi

Even though our stay was short, the entire team made sure we enjoyed every minute. From pre-arrival, Nadia, Malia and Bella were incredibly kind and helpful, answering all our questions, recommending food and spa experiences, and reassuring us about accessibility throughout the resort. From the moment we arrived in the rain, we were welcomed so warmly by Haikal, Bella, Ramy, Chef Juga and the team. We were also incredibly lucky to be upgraded to a Rainforest Villa, which was beautiful, spacious and perfectly immersed in nature, complete with our own pool, rainforest views and even a few monkey visitors. The amount of extras we got due to my Bonvoy Platinum Elite status was great! The butler service was fantastic. Everything was a text away, and they responded unbelievably fast. We could request a buggy and have it outside our villa within minutes. We also looked forward to our turndown service every day, as Megha who took care of our villa, was leaving us nice little notes, small treats and memorabilia to take back home with us. The food was excellent, especially our first experience of Malay cuisine at Langkawi Kitchen, and the breakfast buffet is absolutely not to be missed. Huge variety, amazing curries, fresh juices, pastries, healthy options, and fantastic Nasi Lemak. What really stood out, though, was the team’s genuine care. When one of my wheelchair tires punctured, they went out of their way to find someone on the island who could repair it and had it back to me incredibly quickly. That level of care meant so much. They also went out of their way to arrange a private accessible nature walk with Fadzli, who was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining, and our spa experience with Shan and Ros was one of my favourite massages ever, in one of the most beautiful settings. A huge thank you to Nadia, Malia, Bella, Haikal, Ramy, Fadzli, Megha, Shan, Ros, Syed, Saifullah, Chef Juga and the entire team for taking such incredible care of us. You truly spoiled us rotten and made a short stay feel unforgettable. I can't wait to come back!

This is a true Ritz Carlton property! Excellent location with its own beach, outstanding service and magnificent rooms. We could have chosen a better place for our family holiday - pity we did not book it for more nights. In terms of value - well it is Ritz Carlton you get what you pay for. They have excellent amenities and good restaurants. All of them offer great food and service but desserts could do better. Hai Yan was exceptional and their vegetarian food was very good. Chef Xiang and Haikal made a very good vegetarian tofu dish. Great place for a nice relaxing holiday and an excellent property which truly feels in the middle of the rain forest. Ramy Khamis who is the resort manager and Vincent run a great place. Compliments to all the staff, housekeeping and kitchen staff who work hard to make this a great experience for us. Highly recommend this place.

An outstanding hotel. Stayed in a larger one bed villa and it was excellent - great views, modern luxury standard and facilities. The wildlife was a highlight - monkeys everywhere so good if older kids. Food was excellent at all the restaurants, beach is decent and spa was excellent. The adults only infinity pool is great. Service was top quality and staff were very helpful and proactive - thanks Sara and team. Overall would recommend it for a relaxing wildlife-inspired beach holiday.
