The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Langkawi for the longest part of our Summer vacation as it was split between 3 cities. Without doubt it was the highlight. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the staff and then Mr Illie took over. From this point onwards every single detail was taken care of. We stayed in Villa 29 which was stunning words cannot describe how stunning the villa was let alone our view from our private swimming pool. The resort itself is stunning. It is located within rainforest which is 10 million years old and approximately 54 acres. This itself was mind blowing. We were assigned a butler team who were incredible led by Mr Illie. Everything was taken care of and every little detail was catered for. They really looked after us and continually checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed continuously. This attention to detail is what really made the difference. Being a football fan they made sure I was able to watch all the games in the comfort of the Villa although the games were in the middle of the morning they ensured whatever I needed was made available. The restaurants at the resort offered a wide variety of options and we dined at the Langkawi Kitchen, the beach grill, horizon 22. The food was beautiful and best of all everything was halal. The spa was amazing and tranquil situated in the corner of the resort. The staff were amazing and Jasmine from the spa visited our villa to offer advice on treatments. Her knowledge of the treatments was perfect and the advice she gave was also perfect. Now for some personal mentions. Butler Team Mr Illie, this guy was beautiful inside and out and he personally ensured his team understood our requirements and carried them out perfectly. He was empathetic and very kind he deserves everything in life and i cannot speak highly of him. He checked in on us daily and ensured that everything was of a very high standard. Our butler Anas, What a young man he is. He ensured that as soon as a message was received on our whatsapp group it was done. He regularly carried out his duties with perfection with a first class service. He was kind, always smiling and a joy to be around. He ensured I had something to eat at 3am for the Semi final between England and Argentina something I will never forget. Our Butler Aidil, Behind the scenes working closely with Anas, was also a gem. Again ensuring no stone was unturned and everything we needed was carried out to perfection. Like all the staff at the resort he was kind, always smiling, always willing to help and advise another beautiful man. A special mention for Abdul from the bell boy team. We discussed football at length and this beautiful man had an England Shirt delivered to our room for me to wear during the semi final what a gesture and how very kind and thoughtful. This is something I wont forget. Mr Ramy the resort Manager spoke to me at every opportunity making sure his team is delivering and boy did they deliver!! Mr Ramy was a gentleman and I appreciated everything he did. Thank you sir. The buggy team were amazing The bell desk team the same. In house dining team were phenomenal treated us like royalty every day. House Keeping twice a day ensured that our room was spotless. The conclusion is that collectively the individuals mentioned above and their entire team made this our most memorable vacation ever. Team thank you so much we hope to see you very soon.

We had a wonderful stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi and would happily give it 5 out of 5. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were exceptionally warm, professional, and genuinely caring, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our villa was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, while the housekeeping team kept everything spotless throughout our stay. We also really enjoyed the gym—it was well-equipped, spacious, and a pleasure to use every day. The breakfasts were outstanding, with a great variety of fresh and delicious food. Finally, the beds were incredibly comfortable, giving us some of the best sleep we’ve had while traveling. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience. We would be delighted to return and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Langkawi.

We have just had the most amazing stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi. This was our third visit, and somehow each stay just gets better and better. This trip was especially memorable as we were celebrating a huge milestone with my best friend, who flew in from the UK. The entire team went above and beyond to make the occasion truly unforgettable. We had a fabulous birthday barbecue in our villa, and our butler, Sara, was absolutely outstanding. She organised every detail perfectly, from the beautiful birthday cake and stunning balloon display to arranging for the team to surprise my friend by singing Happy Birthday. It was magical. The food was exceptional, with every single dish being absolutely delicious. I was also travelling with my family, and my eight-year-old had the most wonderful time at the Kids Club. It was such a joy to see how much she enjoyed himself while we were able to relax knowing she was so well looked after. The dining throughout the resort was simply superb. Whether it was breakfast at Langkawi Kitchen, lunch by the pool, or dinner at The Beach Grill, every meal exceeded our expectations. We were also fortunate enough to enjoy breakfast at Hai Yan during this visit, which was an extra special treat and an experience we’ll remember. What makes The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi so special isn’t just the breathtaking setting, it’s the people. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, genuine, attentive and committed to making our stay exceptional. Thank you to everyone for creating memories that will stay with us forever. First experience trying out the Ritz-Carlton on Langkawi island, and it did not disappoint. Will certainly be returning, and hopefully for longer. A special mention to Armin from the private dining team, but thank you to everyone, all the staff were lovely.

The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi is, without question, the best hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. From the moment we were picked up at the airport until the moment we were dropped off to continue our journey, every single member of the team made us feel like royalty. This wasn't just exceptional service—it was genuine, heartfelt hospitality. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every request was met with a smile, warmth, and a sincere desire to make our stay unforgettable. Travelling with two young children can sometimes be challenging, but the team made everything effortless. My children had the most incredible time, and even 10 days later they are still talking about our stay. That, to me, says everything. A very special mention has to go to Mia and Sara. They are, quite simply, two of the kindest, most caring people we have ever met. They didn't just do their jobs—they genuinely cared about us as a family. Mia is nothing short of a fairy godmother. Somehow, she made every little wish come true before we even had to ask. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and ability to make magic happen are unlike anything I have experienced in all my years of travelling. Sara was, without doubt, the best butler we have ever had. She anticipated our needs before we even realised them ourselves and made us feel so genuinely welcome and cared for. Her professionalism, kindness, warmth, and dedication are exceptional, and I have no doubt she has an incredibly bright future ahead of her. The Ritz-Carlton is very fortunate to have both Mia and Sara representing the brand. I would also like to thank Brittany and Zuha from the Kids Club, who made every visit so much fun for our children. Their energy, patience, and genuine affection for the children made a huge difference to our family holiday. Ana and Fazle from the butler team were also outstanding and consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The attention to detail throughout the resort is simply incredible. Every interaction felt personal, every member of staff greeted us with genuine warmth, and it never once felt forced or scripted. It felt like we were staying with family who truly wanted us to have the best possible holiday. If I'm being honest, Langkawi was never actually on our travel bucket list. It simply happened to fit into our route around Asia. But after experiencing the incredible kindness, love, and care we received from everyone at The Ritz-Carlton, we can honestly say we will absolutely be returning. It is not just because of the beautiful resort or stunning surroundings—it is because of the extraordinary people who work there and the memories they created for our family. Thank you to everyone at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi, for giving us memories that will stay with us forever. We have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, but none have made us feel as valued, cared for, and genuinely special as you did. We cannot wait to return.
