The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in a top floor junior suite in block 3 for one night in early November. The resort has fabulous grounds and excellent facilities throughout. We particularly enjoyed dining at the Beach Grill - metres from the waters edge and a beautiful secluded private beach. Breakfast in the Langkawi Kitchen at the resort was also amazing. Staff in the main were very pleasant and helpful throughout. Some are perhaps a little less expressive in English than might otherwise be the case for this level of resort. But that limited experience did not weigh heavily on our overall impression. The buggy service is also extremely handy especially in inclement weather We would be very happy to visit RCL for a longer period if the opportunity arises in the future and would certainly recommend it to visitors coming to Langkawi island. It has to be one of the top 3/4 resorts on the island. Oh - and the resort monkeys can be entertaining and occasionally mildly cheeky!!

This resort truly offers a five-star experience. Congratulations to the staff, who go above and beyond expectations.

I would like to compliment Hafizah and the housekeeping team Sumandak and Megha for making my room super clean and awesome. They were very friendly and polite. I also want to say thank you to Mr. Zuhail (if I’m not mistaken, he’s the F&B Manager) for making my dinner perfect.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was honestly amazing! I came on a solo trip to relax and reset, and it completely delivered. Even though it was supposed to be the rainy season, I somehow got sunshine and blue skies every single day, which made it perfect for exploring the resort and soaking up how beautiful everything was. The place is surrounded by so much nature and wildlife, it really shows how magical Langkawi is. The adults-only pool was closed during my stay, but they opened two villas with private pools for guests instead, which was such a nice touch. I definitely made the most of it! The staff here were next level. Everyone went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. Huge shoutout to Daniel and Azizul at the Beach Grill and Family Pool for being so kind and for helping me spot Dusky Leaf Monkeys, one of my bucket list animals. And to Canady and Ling at the Pool Villas and Coco Beach Café, thank you for the amazing service and those surprise handcrafted cocktails. It’s the people here that make this resort truly special. Couldn’t have asked for a better solo getaway!
