The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi

The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi was quite disappointing. The service was below expectations and the food quality was not impressive at all. Although the resort itself is nice and has a beautiful environment, it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience. I expected much better and unfortunately would not recommend it based on my stay.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi was not good. The service was slow, the room wasn’t well-cleaned, and staff didn’t seem very helpful. For the price, I expected much better. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi with my parents for a longer visit, and we had such a fantastic time. The resort is beautiful, of course, but what really stood out to us was how well we were looked after the entire stay. We were in Langkawi while my Dad was taking part in the Ironman, and the staff of the hotel were so thoughtful and supportive throughout that busy week. It made everything feel much easier and a lot more enjoyable for all of us. A few people in particular made our trip extra special. Sean and Pete at the pool were always warm and welcoming. Azizul also deserves a huge mention, he went out of his way for us constantly, and his kindness really made a difference. Naim took us on a sunrise kayak that we’ll never forget, and his enthusiasm made the experience even better. Harris at the front office was very pleasant and helpful during our checkout, which we appreciated. All of the restaurants at the resort were delicious, we enjoyed every meal, and it was great having such a variety of good food without ever needing to leave the property. The resort itself is stunning, in the rainforest and at the beach. Our room was spacious, beautiful and had great views of Langkawi. We also loved the spa, which was a perfect place to unwind. Overall, we had such a wonderful stay and we truly hope to visit again soon. Thank you to the whole team at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi.

This hotel is superb, from the staff to the rooms, everything was as you would expect from a Ritz Carlton. We had a couple of issues during our stay, but the Director of F&B, Paul Hue stepped in and resolved everything to our complete satisfaction, which is the mark of a great hotel company - how to turn things around when they don’t go quite right. He sets an excellent example to his team. We will definitely recommend Ritz Carlton as a relaxing destination in Malaysia.

Huge resort. Lush greenery. Serene. We were upgraded to the ocean front, Villa with a private pool. It was massive! Spotless. The bed & pillows were so comfortable. Impeccable service from all staff. They even ran a bath for us every day. Dinner at the Beach Grill was delicious. The most delicious mash potatoes I have ever had. It was so creamy, soft, and tasty. The massage we had was so relaxing. We had a fabulous stay. Special mention to Miki, thank you for looking after us so well. All our expectations were met without a hinge. Kudos to a great team!
