Beautiful hotel and staff members, we had a great holiday. We found the hotel very clean and spacious. Also the gardener deserves some credit because it was very well maintained! The hotel is near nature so you could walk out of the hotel right into nature what we did several times. We booked a preffered double room and got an upgrade on arrival to a room with frontal sea views. The cocktails however weren't always the same quality so we drank a lot of a premium rum with coke (out of glass bottles which was a surplus). Staff is superfriendly and nothing is too much when you ask for something. The prices for preffered and all in are quite high but we got a good deal when we booked almost a half year in advanced so it made it worth. I would surely recommend the hotel because of the peacefull location. Two things we thought could be better and that was the temperature of the preffered swimming pool, and the fact that you can't smoke on your balcony. But overall a very good experience.

Spent a week here with my friend for rest and relaxation. Sadly the room was very noisy (H 608) we paid for a sea view and looked out over the bar. The bar had music from 10.30am , Adele and Katie melua must be raking in the royalties. When the bar at the front eventually stopped the music from the foyer blasted down the wind tunnel corridor. Lots of noise from guests passing late and cats screeching. The beds were comfortable, housekeeping excellent. Girls in the spa very helpful getting us onto the App and telling us about yoga , pilates and activities. We enjoyed sip and paint, and facial yoga. Big shout out to Naomie for her enthusiasm and joy. The staff were all hard working, polite and helpful. The spa was well worth the weekly fee of 85 euros. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

A beautifully styled and organised hotel set in the quiet area of Puerto Calero away from the hustle and bustle. The staff are excellent; attentive and speedy. There is a very good choice of food every day and we enjoyed the variety of restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the view of the sea and volcanoes. We recommend the spa, the activities and the evening entertainment very highly. There are no complaints about our enjoyable week which was in celebration of my birthday.

On first impressions the hotel appeared very nice in a lovely setting with friendly staff. Our room was very comfortable and spacious but had no kettle although one was provided on request but no teabags which we had to take from the restaurant. We were on the 5th floor with a view of the carpark with no sun. The noise from the wind whistling around the corner was really so loud it kept us awake at night until we discovered that opening the balcony door a fraction cured it. There was a disgusting smell of drains from the sewage plant which blew all around our block and when outside in places we had to cover our noses. The stairway doors to the side of our room were broken for the whole stay and were bulging and jammed ajar. Tiles to the corridors and stairway chipped and broken in places. The lift to the 5th floor broke down and we had to use the stairs for 3 days which was difficult as I had an ankle injury which I acquired walking across the rickety pebble path to the rear exit of the hotel. Very surprised that the hotel did not have a shop and the nearest one was at the marina which was approx one km walk away. The hotel grounds were clean and well kept. The hotel has a very strange bar policy where you have to wait for a manager to come to you and ask what drinks you wanted. The order is sent to the bar, collected by a waiter and delivered to you. We gave up visiting the bar after 2 days as it was very frustrating waiting up to 15 minutes to get a drink. We booked breakfast only, and again found it very frustrating having to queue to get in a restaurant despite many empty tables. After having your room card scanned you had to be taken to a table by a staff member which resulted in long unnecessary queues. Food was good with a reasonable selection. However the bread station was very disappointing with only pre-sliced bread which was so thinly sliced it did not toast well. The Spa and massage facilities were very good and staff there also. A few nice restaurants and bars at the marina where we ate and drank for the last 5 days. Overall for us this may once have been a 5 star but not now and needs a lot of improvement to regain its 5 star status. We would not visit again as we have been in much better 5 star hotels in Lanzarote with better premises and surroundings.
