Unluckily for us, weather was not good while we stayed Dec 10-17. Hotel & staff v pleasant, xmas lighting & decoration was wonderful. Entertainment each evening was excellent, especially that of singer Andrea Botwin & band. Opted for b&b, breakfast option was plentiful & very generous. Short walk to Porto Calero via prom at back of hotel to a handful of restaurants/shops. Small ferry service to Pta d Carmen if you want crowds & hustle. The swim up pool option was not infinity or private, people walk directly in front of your apartments, also not enough handrails for ease of access to this long pool. We were glad we did not pay extra for this as we would have been disappointed. Our room with balcony was well appointed & a great size. Overall a very pleasant stay, staff were smiley, welcoming & gave excellent service. Hope to return next year with fingers crossed for better weather!

Location a bit too quiet. Atmosphere reasonable. Rooms very good, Cleanliness very good, Noise Level okay though incessant music during the daytime was irritating -- but we're over 80 years of age so perhaps not that tolerant!

very tired hotel. definitely not 5 star. they spilt the welcome orange juice all over us. Accidents happen, but did nothing about it and we have had to bring our clothes home to dry clean ourselves. Breakfast very poor.

Very average room definitely not a 5 star accommodation . The entrance is impressive and the entertaining spaces however the rooms are in need of an update and the 2 restaurants we dined in were poor and the food not up to our usual 5 star standard and very expensive . The spa has to be pre booked and is mainly jacuzzi and the pool is also mainly equipped with jets so not great very small and the showers were not clean . The location was good a short walk to the marina with an excellent choice of dining . The staff were very friendly and helpful however a disappointing experience .

Writing this review awaiting our transfer to the airport so it’s all fresh in mind! This was a mother and daughter birthday trip. This is a beautiful hotel with so many 5 star features and 5 star staff. However just a few little points which could improve things. Hotel - Only 15 minutes transfer from the airport and a lovely 15 minutes walk along the edge of the water to Puerto Calero marina. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The decor, the furniture and the styling of the hotel is just beautiful. Really enjoyed wandering round and looking at all the different areas they had to offer. It’s modern without being “shiny” if that makes sense. Rating of hotel 9/10. Rooms - We stayed in room 652 which was a preferred club ocean view room. This had a perfect view of the ocean and the hotel grounds. The beds were very comfortable. I’d say the rooms definitely let the hotel down though, they were smaller than we expected, a little dated compared to the overall hotel and the bathroom was a bit dark and cramped. There was a mini bar restocked every day for all inclusive which was nice but no wine so negative a point! Room rating 6/10 Food - The best! We were so impressed with the food. We didn’t have a bad meal over the 5 days and never felt we had to go out to eat. Our favourite was definitely Portofino. the steakhouse was also perfect! Portofino à la carte - allowed preferred club guests in for breakfast. It was lovely and quiet and had a vast menu service along with a smaller buffet selection. Their dinner service was also stunning, very attentive staff and the food was delicious. Oceana à la carte - We only ate here for preferred club lunch. Again beautiful setting looking out to the sea, indoor and outdoor seating. Wide variety on the menu. This is open for dinner service but we didn’t end up eating here for dinner so can’t comment. Bluewater Grill à la carte - This is a steakhouse which also turns into a preferred club lunch spot during the day (barefoot grill) The fillet steak was perfection and a lovely added touch was finishing on a stone at the table - we enjoyed doing this. World Cafe - this was the bugger restaurant which catered for breakfast lunch and dinner, we ate in here for breakfast and dinner once. It was ok, nothing special unfortunately. Lovely decor, superior staff (as always) but the buffet was quite small in comparison to the people and not many food options. Coco Cafe - A lovely coffee shop with many options of beverages and cakes. Always quiet. Lovely touch for all inclusive I’d say. Food rating 9/10 Preferred Club - This is the first hotel we’ve used a “club” option and in this hotel I’m glad we did. I felt it gave us access to extras that made our holiday a little more special. The preferred club lounge was small but quiet with a lovely selection of snacks and drinks. The option of à la carte restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner was a lovely touch, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The preferred club pool was lovely but the weather wasn’t on our side this holiday so I can’t comment on actually swimming in it.. or sunbathing beside it. I’m not overly sure how it would’ve been if we weren’t preferred club and if we would’ve felt we missed out. Preferred club 8/10 Spa - When we checked in we were given a free pass for the “Spa Circuit”, again I’m not sure if everyone got this or if it was preferred club guests only. We used this on our last day, it gave 4 hours access. The spa was beautiful, really lovely and modern with many different areas within the “circuit”. Only criticism is the beds aren’t padded or overly comfortable. Also no lockers to put belongings in. Spa rating 8/10 Special shoutout to the staff. They work so so hard. If I could name them all I would. Always a smile to be given and a friendly chat. Naturo in the piano bar was so efficient and dealt with quite a few difficult customers, but he was just fantastic. Rosana made our room spotless every day. Finally Pedro in Portofino was always such a lovely guy to serve you. Staff 10/10 Overall: A pleasant experience overall. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives and I’d happily return.
