Enjoyed an 8-night stay, breakfast only. Hotel was spacious, quiet and peaceful. Lots of room around the pool. Breakfast buffet was of a good standard, with plenty of choice, and option to eat inside or out. Room was large, with a part sea-view, and a huge TV. Gym was the largest and best-equipped I’ve seen in a holiday hotel. Dined in the hotel just once (the Italian, which was good). Otherwise we lunched and dined in the port (a 10 minute stroll) or Puerto Del Carmen (a €12 taxi ride). Both had a good selection of bars and restaurants. If you like walking, turn left at the sea-front gate, walk through Calero port and along the coastal path to Del Carmen (about an hour), or turn right and walk along the cliff-top path to the tiny village of Playa Quemada (a similar distance). Both walks require sturdy footwear and a reasonable level of fitness/mobility. The latter walk is less populated, but the views are stunning. Lastly, the hotel staff were wonderful. Thank you for a delightful, relaxing stay - just what we needed!

We came for our honeymoon a few years back and enjoyed it so much we have returned 5 times. It’s always wonderful and the staff are always so accommodating. We are welcomed like old friends by familiar faces starting with Liana in the foyer with hug, Cava and a refreshing flannel before we even get to reception. Carla in guest experience always takes extra care of us and Louis remembers our favourite tables in the restaurants. Rueben and Gruber make each meal a delight with their twinkling humour and great service. The new staff are equally welcoming and attentive. We have been delighted to see some fabulous new dishes added to the excellent selections and are even more spoilt for choice. The bar entertainment is just right too; My favourites are Tempo Forte but hubby loves the 4 beats and the impressive saxophonist. This year we sampled the spa for the first time and enjoyed it so much we went in twice: will invest in a week long pass next time.

This is a nice well presented hotel, reception area is lovely and rooms are nice, well stocked and very clean with floors being mopped daily. We didn’t like the “preferred” aspect. If you pay for this (quite a lot more money) you get preferential treatment, access to a private lounge and your own area of the grounds with better views and private pools and facilities. Don’t think there’s any need for this sort of thing, one price and same treatment for all, otherwise just makes people feel inferior, should all be the same in a 5 star hotel. Food was ok but not amazing and very repetitive. Also they don’t seem to have enough staff so there’s sometimes quite a long queue for the restaurant as everyone has to be led to the table, then order drinks before the staff member goes back to the door to let in the next guests. A ridiculous system for a busy hotel. Also the premium restaurants cannot be booked in advance and often an hour’s wait to get in. Our room was on the ground floor which we didn’t like as the front is open to everyone so if you want privacy make sure that you request a room upstairs. Pool areas are nicely laid out but a little cramped, on a sunny day quite difficult to get a free sun bed, these are looking very tired and definitely need new cushions, certainly not 5 star standard. Staff very friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment is terrible but at least somewhere to sit after dinner and you can always walk down to the marina which is only a 10 minute walk. Overall a great holiday in a nice hotel and would stay there again but maybe just do breakfast only and eat down at the marina.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Plenty of eating choices. Spacious pool area with lots of loungers. Calm and tranquil atmosphere. The Spa is well worth a visit. We would definitely stay again.
