Hesperia Lanzarote

Had a lovely time at Secrets Lanzarote for a December break. Staff was excellent from concierge, to wait staff to the folks who kept our room and grounds in perfect order. Enjoyed the great food and drinks by the pool. Fortunate to catch a great spell of warm weather.

As it was our anniversary we got upgraded to a suite which was amazing. So much space, huge bathroom and a big bed. We had sea view. We went Preferred Club. The restaurants, Portofino, Oceana and Barefoot were great. We loved Oceana for lunch. Portofino food was exceptional. The steak in Barefoot was great. They have a buffet restaurant where we had a couple of breakfasts but preferred à la carte for dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The evening entertainment was held in the huge main reception area. This was OK, lots of rows of seating where people sat and watched. But don’t expect anything too exciting and is only on for an hour. The pool area is huge, we stayed in the Preferred area and always got the sunbeds we liked. There are lots of cats which I loved, but they keep to themselves. My husband used the gym which he enjoyed. There’s a spa but we never went there so can’t comment. We only left the resort once to walk along the harbour area, as we were happy to just chill by the pool. There is no beach. We loved it and would definitely recommend especially as there are no children.

An excellent Adults only 5 star resort. The staff are very professional, friendly and attentive. The hotel rooms are clean, well serviced. The hotel is well positioned for the marina. Special mention must got to Guest Services team and Carla who could not do enough to help us during our stay.

Me and my wife stayed here in October 24 and March 25 and have just booked again today for a week in February. Each of our visits have been excellent - a warm welcome upon arrival with a glass of Cava, lovely friendly staff and overall great food. We stayed all inclusive (unlimited luxury) each time and tried out the non buffet restaurants too which were very good. If we ever had any issues or questions, they were always dealt with promptly - and there was never anything of real concern. We had previously stayed at a sister hotel, Dreams, in March 24 which was very nice too. We'd happily go back there if we hadn't discovered Secrets! The rooms have always been nice and staff very friendly and only too happy to help. It's lovely and peaceful, but still with a nice atmosphere. Puerto Calero marina is a short costal walk away which is nice. A few shops, restaurants/bars and a market. If there was one thing that could be looked at it's probably the speed of service in the main central bar in the evening, which seems quite slow each time. The bar team are clearly working hard, so maybe a couple of extra staff helping at busy times would make a difference. All in all we love this place and hope it it just as good when we go back next month.

It started at my arrival, I was offered a drink which I never got…. Items in the room were broken and never repaired even after complaints, noisy trolleys from 7 to midnight or later if someone orders room service. I could not sleep because of the constant noise, got a room change offer (with a cat on the balcony… ) which I politely declined because I have allergies. The next room offer seemed better but after 1 quiet night the noise started again. Food was not warm and some staff unprofessional. All seems a bit chaotic and there is clearly a lack of attention to the costumer. Reading comments complaining about exactly the same problems already 1 year ago on this site makes me more thoughtful. It’s a shame because there is a lot of potential
