This hotel is the place to be when in Vegas. It is perfectly located on the strip. You can literally walk out the hotel into the action and not too far from anything. We got the wrap around balcony room, which had breath taking views of the strip. The room was extremely clean and spacious. The house keeping staff were very friendly and helpful. They made sure we had enough towels daily. Our room was cleaned well everyday also. There are so many bars and restaurants in the hotel to fit any of the taste buds. ( Had a great drink at the chandelier bar) The Marquee Night Club( located in the hotel) is the place to be at night. The Cosmopolitan offers a nice array of food, fun, and entertainment. You really don’t have to leave the hotel if you desire because there is so much to do. We really enjoy the hotel’s vibe! I highly recommend checking the Cosmopolitan out! The only problem I had was the long check in time( 45 minutes) due to everyone checking at the same time. But our front desk person, Andy, made sure to compensate us by waiving our resort fees!

Hotel is nice, food options are great, but it is not very clean. I returned to my room after a long day to find my sheets had a stain on them. Called and asked them to be changed. Took an hour for someone to come change them. The sheets they changed were even more stained than the originals. The duvet had a dried blood stain on it. Called in the morning to express my unhappiness and asked for CLEAN sheets to be changed. Came back again after a long day only to find the same stained sheets and duvet were on my bed and the “clean” sheets/duvet were on the nightstand next to my bed… oh and they were stained too! Disappointing for how expensive this hotel is. If you have stains on your sheets, please CLEAN them or throw them out! It’s gross.

Cosmo actually deserves 5 stars but I dropped one due to not being informed that the Chelsea Tower Pool was closed during our stay. It wasn't even mentioned when we checked in. Had we known we would have booked the Blvd Tower. The Blvd Pool was a 15 minute walk for us to and from each day. The Blvd Pool is nice but the music is lacking. I'm not even convinced it was geared towards a younger crowd. Repetitive noise even though all generations from young to old try to enjoy the pool. Over-priced beer at 15 inc tax and tip to $30 and up for frozen drinks. Gouging at it's best. Very little shade or umbrella's. I can see why the resort was nowhere near full and the one pool serving both towers half empty even on a weekend. There is a lot to like about Cosmo. Rooms are still amazing. Fountain view rooms have the best view in Vegas as long as you are floor 20 or higher. Beds are so comfortable and bathrooms are great (as long as your room is comped). Not sure I would pay 2k plus for 3 nights for any room in Vegas. Location is perfect. Food options are ample. Entertainment in Vegas has priced themselves out of the average visitors reach. IMO, there isn't an entertainer on the planet worth more than a $100 a ticket. Vegas needs to figure this out. This was our final trip to Vegas after dozens of visits. Vegas needs to figure this out. Many resorts appear to be in trouble. You can sense the desperation on the face of the locals and even many of the visitors that have to over extend themselves in order to experience Vegas. Most people have better gaming options close to home. Most people have more affordable entertainment options close to home. Most people have more affordable dining options close to home. Flights are not cheap either. I can see why so many of the resorts appeared half empty on a weekend in October. Vegas needs to get back to the basics. Value and Entertainment.

Our stay at the cosmopolitan was a disappointment. We were referred by a family friend who is a professional poker player. We were told it was beautiful and they treat their guests wonderfully. We paid for the early check in, which was supposed to allow us into our rooms by 11:00. We were with 2 other couples and ready to get lunch and explore after settling into our rooms. We didn’t get into our rooms till 1:00. We requested a higher up room with a view of the Bellagio fountains. We instead received a higher up room with a view of the top of industrial buildings and the pool. The faucets dripped, wallpaper had tears and there were moldy areas. I called the desk about the mold, never saw anyone. The pool. A complete disappointment. It was a party. Food was a below bar food experience. You could get beer, that was the best part of the pool. Chairs were few unless you wanted to pay an addition fee for an oversized chair. Thongs were everywhere. I felt like I was in a trashy movie. So, the pool went all night. They partied, they screamed, they cheered. All while we tried to sleep above. To get a decent coffee, you had to make your way to the main floor to walk through the smoke only to wait about thirty minutes. The room coffee was disgusting. The ambiance and artwork were breasts and other body images. Checkout was a nightmare. There were extra charges. The players credits were messed up(go figure). When I was asked by a friend how it was, I let her know that my house is much nicer. I expected nice, it was trashy.

We stayed here for three nights in Octber. We checked in at the vip area as we have gold status with mgm. Daniel the desk agent did not warmly greet us and was indifferent during the whole check in process. We booked our room months in advance and requested a high floor with Bellagio fountain views. Daniel said there was nothing in the notes showing any special requests for a high floor, Bellagio view, etc. Basically calling us liars. He only had a room on a lower floor with a substandard view because they were “fully booked” (on a Tuesday… really?). Vegas has been reporting an 11% drop in room occupancy so I’m not sure he was being honest with us. As my wife and I were discussing whether we wanted this room he interrupted and said “do you want the room or not?” Exhausted from flying for 6 hrs we accepted. The room (2330) had issues. One of the bedside nightstands was missing a lamp, the refrigerator compressor was loud and rattled the whole time we were there, the bathroom door did not lock, the sliding door did not latch, the phones in the room did not work, even though we went down to the front desk and requested that they be repaired which they promised us it would be, but they never did. The tiolet tank ran sporadically, the tv would not display our folio or let us check out on the screen. We had to go to VIP services and check out there. We used reward points for dining and noticed they overcharged and took points they were not entitled to…although they did remedy this when we brought it to their attention. We were really looking forward to staying at the Cosmopolitan… but we were extremely disappointed. We will never stay or play at this property again.
