Twenty-six of the fifty largest hotels in the world are in Las Vegas. Why, then, is The Cromwell Las Vegas causing such a stir? Clocking in at just 188 rooms, it stands in the shadows of neighboring Bellagio, Caesars Palace and Bally’s. And that is exactly why it’s so appealing to guests seeking the intimate, refined experience of a boutique hotel right in the throbbing heart of the Vegas Strip. There’s a touch of a vintage bordello feel to the hotel, accentuated by leather headboards, vampy damask wallpaper and classic showgirl sketches.

Horrible experience. There was no shampoo body wash or even towels in the room. I paid extra for early check-in however early check-in was only 30 minutes before and they still charged me. I was given the incorrect time for early check-in.

There are only two elevators and one was non-operational with no apparent attempt to fix it. Unacceptable. Coffee machine but no coffee in the room. No cups or glasses in the room. Had to call 3 times to get my room serviced. Locked out of my room by their computer twice. I'm told the hotel is up for sale. I believe it.

This hotel is boutique style with a boudoir theme. It’s in need of a serious upgrade. The lighting was really dark in the rooms and our shower had three inches of water every time we used it. We also had to call the plumbing because the toilet wouldn’t flush. It’s a great location but needs a face lift.

We usually stay at Caesars entertainment properties comped. The rodeo was in town and I believe this is why there was a charge for us to stay there. Paid $30 extra a night for a strip view. Plus $55 a night for a resort fee. The strip view of our first room was a view of the horseshoe shops. When I went into the bathroom there was black mold down the wall. Had to wait for a new room. The second room had holes all over the sheets when we went to go to bed. I called the front desk about the sheets. Housekeeping was gone for the day so they had maintenance bring new sheets for me to make the bed myself. Ordered Starbucks the next morning. 2 grande drinks and 1 venti. Cost $39.50. This is probably why Vegas is struggling.
