W Las Vegas

Great Staff, great resort! Highly recommend.

We have stayed here before when it was the Delano. I'll be honest, when I heard construction, I was a bit nervous. There were areas blocked off but it was fine and not bothersome at all. Our room was great, no real complaints there ( except for my paranoia of touching the mini bar and/ or coffee and getting a charge i didnt mean for!)

We realky enjoyed our stay at the W. The ongoing improvements are well documented in earlier reviews but these are nearing completion in the lobby area and it is looking good. Rooms are of good size and well presented. The connections through Mandalay Bay and Luxor are very useful.

I had high hopes for my star at the W Las Vegas, after spending the majority of my week at another hotel on the Strip that did not have the luxurious amenities of the W. However, at least my previous hotel had great employees that truly valued warm hospitality and exemplary customer experience. What made this stay a subpar one was when I checked in my room in the morning. The only front desk agent at the time (10/9/26 at around 7:30AM) was taking her time with the previous guest and was being very accommodating to him. As soon as I reached her, she immediately changed her attitude. At first she ignored me, and walked away from her computer. When she finally returned, she didn't even try to apologize, just asked me what I needed..which was to check in. She was extremely rude, curt, and unprofessional in her demeanor. She didn't even look up from her computer to make eye contact and she spoke in quick, curt phrases. It was obvious she didn't value my business. I was not surprised my room was not ready, and I was told I will receive a text when it was. Well, I never received a text. I had to return to the front desk hours later and this time, was greated warmly and helped by another front desk agent that stated that my room indeed was ready but something was not completed in my initial check-in. I looked over to the woman that didn't help me at all that morning and she was smiling and being very helpful and accommodating to the couple that she was helping at the time. It's a shame to receive that type of treatment from such a top-tier hotel. Otherwise, my room was fine, and everyone from the bell desk, the valet, and the second agent that helped me in the afternoon all did their best to deliver excellent customer service. It is the rude woman that is at the front desk in the morning that has left a lasting impression on me and my associates about how the W is, and that is definitely not a good thing.

The tv was broken in the bedroom and they didn’t fix it until the last night of the stay. When taking a bath the shower filled up with grey water. When taking a shower you stood in 2 inch water because it didn’t drain. I would expect more from a nice hotel. They provide a coffee pot but give no coffee. I called and they said we had to pay for coffee. What hotel does that? Also our view was a wall. Will not stay at the W again.
