Reviews for Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Great stay at the Fontaineblu.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 hours ago

My sorority sisters and I booked at Fontainebleau Las Vegas during our sorority eventful week, and it was a great choice. Although it’s not exactly on the Vegas Strip, it’s about 10-minute car ride to the main attractions. When walking inside, we were greeted by beautiful fresh roses that create a luxurious first impression. In addition, the lobby checkin was quick and efficient, and there were plenty of shops throughout the entire hotel. In many ways, Fountainbleau was giving an upscale mall like feel. Although we didn’t have the chance to experience the Lapis spa, I was familiar with the Fontainebleau spa in Miami, so I’m sure this one was just as exceptional and stunning. Our room 1260 was spotless, spacious, and had a gorgeous soaking tub that added to the decor. Overall, I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Fontainbleau and would absolutely return to Fontainebleau Las Vegas in the future.

Perfect for us to relax!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I always do tons of research before booking a resort in Vegas, and I can honestly say Fontainebleau is fantastic. My wife and I vacation without the kids, so our time alone is precious and everything needs to be perfect. This place delivered on every single level. If you want a clean, modern, ultra luxury Vegas experience without the chaotic, smoky crowds of the mid Strip properties, this is your spot. We loved our stay and we will definitely be back. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We lucked out right at check-in and scored an upgrade to the Royal Suite. The room was absolutely flawless. It was huge, wrapping 936 square feet of pure luxury with massive floor-to-ceiling windows framing breathtaking, sweeping views of the Las Vegas Strip. It had a private king bedroom with a stunning master bath complete with a soaking tub and walk-in shower. What really blew us away was the separate, spacious living area and the chic bar prive kitchenette. Plus, having a second full bathroom made getting ready so much easier. Housekeeping was fantastic throughout our stay, and their evening turndown service added that perfect, high-end luxury touch before bed. We spent our afternoons at the Pool District, which was exceptionally comfortable and relaxing. Finding a pool in Vegas that actually provides umbrellas for free is incredibly rare, so we were thrilled that they offer plenty of shade without forcing you to pay for it. The poolside service was awesome too. The attendants were incredibly attentive, keeping us refreshed without us ever having to flag anyone down. The food options here are top-tier and offer a great mix of high-end and casual. We had a gorgeous breakfast and brunch at La Fontaine, which is a stunningly beautiful, elegant French restaurant with pastel tones and a sophisticated vibe. For dinner, we went to Papi Steak and it was spectacular. The atmosphere was high-energy, sexy, and sophisticated, and the steaks were cooked to absolute perfection. When we wanted a quick, casual bite, we tried Miami Slice in the food hall, and it was awesome, just truly phenomenal pizza with a perfect crust. Both fine dining spots are premium splurges, but 100% worth it for a special trip. The absolute highlight of our trip was Lapis Spa. We have been to luxury spas all over Vegas, and this one blows them all out of the water. We booked a couples massage, and it was awesome they made sure we were completely comfortable and relaxed. After the treatment, we spent hours jumping between the hydrotherapy amenities, including the herbal inhalation rooms, the multi-sensory contrast showers, and the snow shower. It was the ultimate relaxation experience. You truly get what you pay for here. Between the upgraded Royal Suite, top-tier service, the awesome pool deck, and the blissful spa day, we had the absolute perfect vacation. Pros: Impeccable and friendly service, fantastic housekeeping with turndown service, beautiful pool area and rooms

Consistently Good But A Few Issues.

Fifth time at this property and I will say, they are very consistent. Booked an Amex FHR rate during a "no resort fee" promo period which made it a really good value. Check-in was very mediocre, I've always been able to use "Invited Guest" when booking under Amex FHR but the girl at the desk claimed that was not a benefit, I asked her if that was a recent change since I've always been able to and she said she would just go ahead and check me in (line was about 25 people deep so it was a pretty sizable wait time saved and I had dinner reservations with a friend at Mother Wolf). She was clearly not in a good mood that day. It's very odd, I've stayed here five times and always through a luxury booking channel, but have never been upgraded at all... Mother Wolf was extremely good, service was phenomenal, and the food was top notch. Was it cheap? Definitely not. But I think the quality matches the price. Our server was so good but I forgot her name sadly (it was very unique). They may want to fix the bathroom naming cause apparently it has confused some men and they've been going into the women's restroom in the restaurant. The room itself was well appointed, however my "pool view" room was extremely disappointing as it looked off to the side at a some chairs and did not actually have a view of the pool unless you craned your head and looked far to the right from the window...very disappointing. I should have booked a cheaper Strip view type room, at least I would have been able to see something. When I brought this up to the front desk, the powers that be said they were sold out of higher room categories (it did seem that way per the website), however Tensaye at the front desk was extremely apologetic about the issue and was able to provide a generous credit for the inconvenience and disappointment of my view. Thank you Tensaye! Fitness center here is a destination in itself and is absolutely top notch. Breakfast was really good at the Bagel shop, great service there as well and the food quality was great for bagel sandwiches. Check-out was fast and efficient, Solyana was so nice (just like Tensaye) and was more than happy to go through my bill to ensure it was accurate. She was also more than happy to hear my feedback. If it wasn't for how quiet this and luxurious this property is, I would likely consider a different property for around the same price. No resort fees during my booking period really helped my decision to stay here, but if it wasn't for that, i may have considered staying elsewhere as it's not the most convenient location and the room views are hit or miss.

A frustrating and disappointing experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Impersonal “luxury” hotel with a terrible room experience (if you care to read, feel free). We arrived on time but were delayed about an hour due to a very long line. This wasn’t really an issue, but it did make us a bit late checking in and getting on with our night, and we missed out on having a swim as the pool closes at 5 pm daily! There’s no help checking in or managing bags. It feels like checking in at an airport. You’re just supposed to drag your bags through a giant car park and then up to the room yourself… which is doable, but it just doesn’t feel like a five-star hotel experience. Spend less money on roses and more on bellhops? We booked a “quiet room” months in advance. The woman checking us in was extremely nice and friendly and did put us in a room that she thought was quiet because it was very far from the lifts. Unfortunately, it overlooked an air-conditioning tower, with noise like being on a plane vibrating the windows with buzzing all day and night. So commenced a disappointing and frustrating experience due to that noise outside our room from the cooling towers. We specifically booked a quiet room months ago and confirmed it at check-in, but our room was on the east side overlooking a large roof with cooling towers. The noise was like being on an aircraft. Maintenance came up around 9:30 pm to “listen” and advised us to move, but we were told there were absolutely no king rooms available to move to. Eventually, we were offered another room but with queen beds instead of a king. We wanted to check that the room was quiet, but we had to surrender our keys just to inspect it. Unfortunately, that room smelt extremely strongly of body odour, or like somebody had cooked a curry in it. We checked online and king rooms were appearing as available to book, so I’m not sure why we were told there were none. We were then offered a king room, but it was on the same side as the original and had the same noise issue. After that, we were offered an accessible king bedroom that was on the opposite side of the building. It had no bath, and the shower was quite a downgrade, but so long as it was quiet. The noise from the Strip didn’t seem too bad, but unfortunately it was next to the ice machine room (with a slamming door), so we anticipated noise would be an issue. When we inspected that room, it also had a bad odour, smelling like old meat. By this time it was past 2 am, and we were exhausted and feeling unwell. We spoke to the front desk again, and they told us to come down in the morning and ask for a room change. Even with earplugs, it was very difficult to sleep in the original room for the first night due to the noise. We lost the entire first night in an exhausting way. It felt like a joke by the end, being offered all these rooms, which were horrible downgrades. I just wanted a quiet room that didn’t stink. How was that impossible here in a five-star hotel? The next day, we were able to move to a king room on the opposite side of the hallway. There was road noise from the Strip, but it was a lot less than the buzzing, and the rest of the nights were fine. Of course, we lost half a day moving rooms, as I was waiting around until after lunch to move. It was worth tipping the bellhop again to move our bags and just be done with the whole thing. The room is very lit at night, with all the light switches glowing. The minibar is very loud and can only be switched off by maintenance. It took a couple of hours to get sorted, but it was worth doing. They had to come and switch the fridge drawer off with a remote, as it was even louder than the minibar. There was a lot of confusion calling down to reception and waiting for help with this. The room fit-out, sheets, towels, etc., are very nice. No complaints there. The amenities have a lovely, masculine scent. Housekeeping and the bellhops are excellent, and the multiple banks of lifts make it easy to avoid waiting. However, they’re a long way from reception and past the casino machines. Ubers can be hailed from beyond the car park (inconveniently far), but I had the Uber Eats people pull right into the drop-off area outside reception. The pool complex looks impressive, but it’s all one shallow depth and closes so early, at 5 pm. The pool bar closed earlier, so anyone attending conferences doesn’t even get a chance to enjoy it. Lifeguards are all around the pool, which goes along with the feeling that everything in this place is very monitored, but not necessarily for your comfort and convenience. Apart from that long and very specific complaint about the room, I would’ve liked to have given more feedback, but the whole thing exhausted me, and I was so relieved to check out. If we travel again next year, I do not want to book this hotel because of the way they treated us when we had to switch rooms.

Rooms need more attention!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Pretty decor, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the room was questionable. We called when we got there to tell them the in-room snacks were tampered with to avoid getting charged. They were still not replaced after housekeeping was there the next day. The toilet area had hair and dust on the floor and baseboards, which we also let them know and was still there the next day. The amenities were also opened on the sink (in a blue decorative box) that had not been replaced. The bathroom door had such a squeak it woke my granddaughter up every time it was used when she was asleep— housekeeping had to have noticed. The coffee house line, and bagel place line were both ridiculously long. Many of the food places were closed, on a Saturday. We won’t stay there again.
