I LOVE THIS HOTEL. So to start with, we spent the first four days of our trip at Caesars. While I don’t have any major complaints about Caesar’s Palace, I so wish we had stayed at the Sahara from the beginning. It’s a beautiful hotel with perfect service and it’s so much calmer than the chaos of center strip resorts. This hotel has a great elegant but chill vibe that was perfect for us. Caesar’s was a 24 hour circus and just way too big. Sahara felt like the comforting luxury I expected from a nice hotel, but just happened to have a casino as well. My most important factor is cleanliness, and the Sahara was impeccably clean and newly renovated in all the areas I went to. We stayed in the Mira tower, which I’ve read is a lot newer than the Blanca rooms. It looked exactly like what I expected from gallery photos. I loved the room, the decor, and the view. It’s not the biggest of rooms, but I knew that when I booked it and it was fine in exchange for style and cleanliness. The bed wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either. My bed at home sets a really high bar. Did I mention you get a fridge in your room? That’s rare. No coffee machine as is typical for Vegas, but they do give you some free water and there was no trick motion sensor mini bar. Also, my room was directly next to the ice machine but noise was never an issue. I guess the walls are well constructed. We utilized two of the restaurants and the pool. Excellent service at all the above and from any incidental employees we came into contact with throughout like bell desk, etc. I asked for more towels by text and they were delivered in minutes. Part of why I selected this property was its connection to the monorail, and that worked out perfectly for our touring. I loved they had a late night cafe for reasonably priced sandwiches and baked goods, etc. they have an excellent variety of dining and drink options without being overwhelming. I truly wish we could have stayed a few more days. This hotel is great value for the price, especially if you book one of their inclusive packages. I would definitely book here the next time I come to Vegas.

The Sahara Las Vegas is located slightly off the main Strip, but still in a convenient enough area to move around Las Vegas easily. One thing I appreciated is that the hotel is not overwhelmingly large like some other Vegas properties, which makes it much easier and quicker to go from your room to the casino, restaurants, or other areas of the hotel. The casino area is pleasant and has a good atmosphere, and overall the service was acceptable throughout the stay. Breakfast was decent, although at times the lines were a bit long and not very convenient, especially during busy hours. Overall, the Sahara offers a solid experience with a good balance between convenience, manageable size, and value for Las Vegas.

Everything was exceptional…from the food to the service to the overall hospitality. We are all completely stuffed, and every single dish was delicious. Doug, the manager, was an absolute delight and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Ashley, server extraordinaire, was phenomenal; she expertly curated our dining experience and guided us through the menu with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Zach, bussing busser, was equally impressive, ensuring everything flowed seamlessly throughout our meal, cleaning up quickly between each meal. Together, they created an experience that exceeded every expectation. And the food... wow! That bass was absolutely phenomenal…perfectly prepared and one of the best seafood dishes I've had in a very long time. The curried collard greens were unforgettable and unlike anything I've ever tasted. And that soursop martini? Ah-mazing! It was creative, refreshing, and the perfect complement to an already incredible meal. Every bite and every sip felt thoughtfully crafted and beautifully executed. My friends and family left incredibly happy, thoroughly satisfied, and already talking about when they can return

The Sahara is the kind of hotel that greets you with a reasonable room rate, shakes your hand, and then spends the rest of your stay checking your wallet to make sure it didn’t miss anything. To be fair, the place is generally clean, except for the elevator areas, which occasionally look like management lost a bet and agreed to stop caring. The rooms have been renovated, but they’re tiny. If you’re traveling with a spouse and two suitcases, someone’s sleeping vertically. The room prices can seem like a steal until the Sahara introduces its $67 resort fee. That’s when you realize the advertised rate was more of a suggestion than an actual number. The location is at the far north end of the Strip. Not “a little far.” Not “slightly removed.” I think when Lewis and Clark headed west, they passed the Sahara on the way. The monorail helps tremendously, and the nearby 24-hour Deuce bus is one of the smartest ways to get around Vegas. Now let’s discuss the Starbucks inside the hotel. If you’ve ever wanted to pay luxury-car prices for coffee, this is your moment. Walk six minutes to the regular Starbucks outside and save enough money to play a few slot machines. The Walgreens next door is equally important because buying water inside the Sahara requires the kind of financial planning normally associated with college tuition. The pool closes so early that it feels personally offended by sunlight. Vegas is a city where people eat breakfast at 2 p.m., yet the pool seems to operate on banker hours. Then there’s the coffee maker situation. The hotel removed them from the rooms because apparently guests making their own coffee was an unsustainable threat to the business model. Why provide convenience when you can create another transaction? The front desk is Vegas in human form. One employee will treat you like a valued guest. The next will treat you like you interrupted an important meeting by showing up to the hotel you paid to stay in. The Sahara’s biggest problem is that it keeps wandering into the same price range as MGM Grand. MGM has a lower resort fee, a lazy river, more amenities, and generally doesn’t make you feel like you’re participating in a live-action experiment called “How Much More Can We Charge?” Overall, the Sahara isn’t bad. It’s clean, updated, and has decent transportation options. But every time you turn around, there’s another fee, another markup, or another missing amenity. Staying here feels less like checking into a hotel and more like being slowly mugged by accountants.

I recently stayed at the Sahara and was disappointed by several aspects of my room experience. The room was consistently hot and humid throughout my stay, and the thermostat would not allow the temperature to be set below 71°F, making it difficult to get comfortable, especially at night. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room also fell well below expectations. Upon arrival, I noticed a visible stain on the bed sheets, and there were used contact lenses on the shower floor, which was particularly concerning and suggested the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned before my check-in. In addition, the mattress was placed on a platform bed but was not properly secured. Each time I sat on the edge of the bed, the mattress shifted noticeably. By morning, nearly half of the mattress had slid off the platform, leaving a significant portion unsupported. This made for an uncomfortable and unsettling sleeping experience. While the hotel's location and amenities may appeal to some travelers, the condition of the room and the lack of attention to basic cleanliness, comfort, and maintenance significantly detracted from my stay. For the price paid, I expected a much higher standard of quality and upkeep.
