The Venetian

Nice enough hotel but no conditioner or shower gel was ever refilled so would advise to take your own.

We stayed in a Premium 2 Queen Suite (no view) in the Venetian wing. It was August, so the hotel was in our budget at that time of year. The room was wonderful. We loved how large and luxurious it was. There was a large entryway upon entering the room, with a table and mirror. This led into the sitting room/bedroom. Through that was a sunken living room with large couch, chair, table and chairs, and tv. There is a mini fridge for a fee and 1 for free personal use- so make sure to open the right one. The room had 2 tvs, but we only found 1 remote. There were 2 ac units- 1 for each “level.” The curtains were remote controlled, which my daughter loved. The bathroom was probably as big as the room. There was a large hallway, a closet with safe/robes/hangers, shower and tub, 2 sinks, and a separate toilet room. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was fairly quiet. The ice was right across the hall. The resort is very large. It was like a maze. There is security to get into the hotel portion from the main casino/shopping area. I really appreciated that. There are lots of pools. The main pool area is on the 4th floor. It closes early (maybe 7 p.m.), so when we arrived at night we were lucky that some other patrons were in the hallway and told us about a smaller pool on the 10th floor open until 10 p.m. It was very hot (August), so we appreciated the pools. I think they pump in cold water, which honestly was very refreshing. We never found the Palazzo pools, but apparently you can walk between the two areas on the 4th floor. (It was too hot to go exploring.) The parking garage wasn’t too long a walk. Parking was $20/day. When we first arrived, my husband dropped us and our luggage at the front of the hotel, and bell services ran over to help. There are lots of restaurants and a food court. We took a gondola ride as part of a promotion. It was nice, but I wouldn’t pay full price. We didn’t use the casino or lounges, but they looked clean and well staffed. I would stay again.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The design, atmosphere, cleanliness, and overall appearance of The Palazzo are excellent, and visually we really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, our experience with the billing and security deposit completely ruined the impression. At check-in, we were told that approximately $400 would be placed on our card as a security deposit and that the unused portion would be released after check-out. We did use a few minibar items during our stay. At check-out, we paid an additional $58.44, which included several charges listed as “Refreshments.” Naturally, we understood this to be payment for the minibar items we had actually consumed. Despite that, an employee at check-out told us that because we had used the minibar, the remaining security deposit would not be refunded. That explanation made absolutely no sense. After contacting the hotel, we waited a long time for a response. The billing team eventually said they had investigated the Refreshment Center charges and claimed that some items were either taken or left in a condition where they could not be resold. However, they provided no photos, no clear evidence, and no specific explanation showing which unopened items were supposedly damaged or why they could not be resold. The remaining minibar items were not opened and were left in the room. I specifically asked for a detailed itemized explanation of the charges, clarification regarding the security deposit, and proof of what they were claiming, but the support process has been extremely slow and unhelpful. It is very disappointing that such a beautiful and expensive hotel can provide this kind of experience when it comes to billing and customer service. I strongly recommend checking every single charge on your final bill and keeping records of everything related to the minibar and security deposit. Beautiful hotel, but the way our deposit and minibar charges were handled is the reason I can only give 2 stars.

Joined my husband here for a business conference. The Venetian is probably one of the best resorts in general due to its location, the canal shoppes, range of restaurants, suite size rooms etc. I enjoyed my time here. Also went to see ShinLim at the Palazzo which is a part of the Venetian. I’m sure we will stay here again in the future.

The room was very spacious especially for one person it felt like home. Great price for a suite. It’s close proximity to everything.
