Family Trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We enjoyed our stay at the W Hotel Las Vegas. The suite was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Traveling with our son, we especially appreciated the separate bedroom , it gave us extra privacy and made the space feel much more functional for a family stay. The additional bathroom was also a nice bonus and made getting ready much easier. The bathtub was large, the beds were very comfortable, and overall the room felt well laid out and inviting. The location is a bit away from the main Strip, but that actually worked well for us. Since we were traveling with our son, we liked being removed from some of the busier, louder areas. It felt a little calmer while still being close enough to access everything when we wanted to. The only things we would have appreciated were a usable fridge and possibly a microwave for added convenience. We also found that the room temperature wouldn’t lower, so it stayed quite warm. Overall, we had a good experience and would consider staying again.

Still keeps impressing

Our go to hotel. Pretty good walk from anything but worth it. Jessica was phenomenal and so caring at front desk..quiet no smoking and attached to Mandalay Bay. Get a corner suite if possible.

Huge room; starting to look dated

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Stayed here for one night after a business conference at (the very new FountainBleu) as my friend and I had tickets to see the Michael Jackson ONE show. The entrance to the show was just beyond the W Hotel lobby, which was very convenient. Here are some pros and cons from my one night stay here: Pros: • huge suite sized room which was quiet • location was perfect for the MJ show • rooftop bar provided incredible views at night • very inexpensive. I used Marriott points for my stay and it was remarkably cheap. Cons: • uber ride share drop off - after getting dropped off, we went in the closest door, which led us into a confusing walk all around Mandalay Bar casino. If you are staying at W and taking an Uber there, just walk to W entrance across the underground parking lot - it’s much quicker and less walking. • the hotel and especially the hallways are basically completely dark. Felt like I needed a flashlight to see where I was going. • no fridge in the room. I brought some food items that needed to be refrigerated, and was told if I put them in the mini bar fridge that I would be charged a fee. I was also told I could rent a separate fridge which I didn’t want to do. • ridiculous $50 resort fee. Even with using points, they still charged me the fee. Upon checking out, I asked what the fee is for, and they said “for pool access, local phone calls from the room, for the concierge service and being able to print out boarding passes, etc.” • not centrally located on the strip. • decor is starting to look a little old and dated. Not sure if I would stay here again. Too many other options in the area.

THANK YOU Lost and found and housekeeping

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Want to give a shout out to the LOST and FOUND department as well as housekeeping on 2/8/26 for room 8-906. My son left his beloved OTTER stuffed animal somewhere in the room, his favorite stuffed animal he has had since he was wee. When we returned home from our trip, he realized it was not in his bag. He was so sad. I wrote to the hotel's lost and found that night. By the next morning, I received an email that it was found. I paid for shipping and his otter arrived yesterday. Thank you SO much!

Robbed while sleeping!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

BEWARE! Jan 9 my husband and sons were robbed while they were sleeping in a suite at the W in Las Vegas. “Door pushers” has been a problem in LV for over a decade. W did nothing to help. My family had trouble with TSA at the airport, lost hundreds of dollars, all credit cards compromised, had to open new bank accts….. it’s been a nightmare. The whole experience was horrible, but I am appalled that the W has said that “safety and security are a priority” when they took no responsibility to warn or correct a known problem.
