Robbed while sleeping!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

BEWARE! Jan 9 my husband and sons were robbed while they were sleeping in a suite at the W in Las Vegas. “Door pushers” has been a problem in LV for over a decade. W did nothing to help. My family had trouble with TSA at the airport, lost hundreds of dollars, all credit cards compromised, had to open new bank accts….. it’s been a nightmare. The whole experience was horrible, but I am appalled that the W has said that “safety and security are a priority” when they took no responsibility to warn or correct a known problem.

Top notch hotel manager

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We had a rocky stay at your hotel last year, but Julian the hotel manager completely turned it around. He was kind enough to handle our booking for Valentine’ weekend. His top-notch service went far beyond what we’d expect. He listened, he acted, he fixed things with genuine care. Because of Julian, my wife and I are not just returning—we’re looking forward to it. Keep him. He is the kind of person every hotel prays to have on staff

great experience for vegas newbie

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

my friend booked this for a girls' trip. it was my first time in vegas, so i didn't have any expectations. the room was wonderful & luxurious -- 2 queen beds, a separate living room, and 1.5 bathrooms! a great setup. we enjoyed the pool, etc. we DID have to take cabs pretty much everywhere, though, so if i came back to vegas again i would probably stay somewhere more central. my friend goes to vegas a lot and likes the space and calm that the W offers. it being vegas, of course, there is very little in the way of "hospitality" -- charged for water, coffee, etc. etc. but in terms of being a nice hotel, i was quite satisfied with our stay.

Really nice stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Thought I would do an updated review, haven't stayed here for 7 years, it was a really nice stay. Per usual the rooms are really nice, 2 bathrooms ( 1 full, the other 1/4). Separate living and sleeping rooms. Very nice and calming decor. You can check in on phone and get keys yourself when you get there, really easy and quick. Attached to Mandalay Bay where there are lots of eating and gambling options. The vibe is very calm and not as crazy as the center part of the strip. All in all a really nice place to stay and play.

disappointed with platinum elite late checkout charges.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I am disappointed…. the rooms are very nice just like the photos. i was thinking of doing a five star review until the check out process. David and i woke up early and wanted to spent the rest of the morning at the casino. on my way to getting coffee i stopped by the front desk, i asked about a 1pm checkout she said it was 50 for 1pm and 75 for 3pm. i was speechless. almost 60 nights last year. when i got back to my room i tried the texting concierge. useless. i cashed in my tickets left at 10 and went to my next none mgm hotel early.
