Have stayed here when it was called THEhotel and Delano and now is my first time when its called W !!! I always get the corner suite and its GREAT ! ! Always seem to get the same side too same view. I could live here full time. Im gold with MGM and ive never used their lounge area. This time i did. its great. Free drinks and food anytime its open. Nice touch. We were at the W 9/17-9/20. First impression was the overwhelming smell of heavy, cloying, spice (not in a good way). Lobby is quite dark and not at all inviting. Some remodeling in the main entry to the lobby is being done but not at all bothersome. Seven of us checked in for three rooms (5 adults, 2 children) and two rooms were available even though we arrived well before check-in and the third room was ready within a very short time (maybe 10-15 minutes later). Desk staff was quite pleasant and friendly. Delighted to find each room offered a good size bedroom and full bathroom with dual sinks, soaking tub, shower, and toilet area that had an actual door (believe me, privacy like that is invaluable!), and there was an additional bathroom (toilet & sink) in living living room area (major plus points for that). Unless you want to be charged for items in the refrigerator, don’t even open the door! We were also warned trying to put any type of item that needed to be cold into the fridge would automatically generate a charge. Really hated that and strongly suggest the hotel rethinks that policy. We had an 8 year old and three year old with us and couldn’t use the fridge? What an irritating thing! Forget the coffee machine, too, pods provided are not free. Not sure if you can use your own but why take a chance? Rooms were clean, beds & pillows comfy, enough towels for a day, hair dryer, lighted wall mount magnifying mirror, water pressure good in our rooms on the 23rd floor. Shampoo, Conditioner, Body wash in shower, hand soap & lotion in main bathroom, and hand soap in 1/2 bathroom. Housekeeping comes daily if you want, which is a plus. Be aware dogs are allowed at this hotel. We experienced a very unfortunate incident in one of the rooms as the bedding smelled heavily of dirty dog and we had one heck of a time getting it removed and replaced. The smell was disgusting and we were shocked the cleaning person didn’t notice before making up the bed. We had to move the children to their grandmothers room because one of the beds in the parents room had the foul bedding. Couldn't get anyone to bring replacement bedding, even after repeated calls, and had to eventually go to the front desk ourselves and demand clean bedding . Not a good look for you, W management. Do better. Lazy river and wave pool is a bit of a hike. If you want a good location at the Mandalay pools, you absolutely have to arrive before they open at 9:00am. We were in line by 8:30 each morning to get a spot and we were lucky enough to get chaises in a relatively shady area. Overall a decent property and it worked well for us. Just get rid of the ambient scenting - it was much too heavy and not at all pleasant.

We loved our stay for 2 nights at the W Hotel. Room was amazing, Greta time at the pool. Convenient great restaurants close by. We would like to call out the outstanding service and attention from Mr. Robert "Sparkles". Thank you for your attention, exceptional support and service. We will be back.

Filthy conditions on penthouse suite 60802. Both TVs were not working, large wooden table was cracked and tons of debris, coins were imbedded in table. Ottoman covered in stains. Why sell the suite when it's in this order!! Terrible considering I booked for one night , was in the room for less than 10 hours to celebrate a bday. It certainly wasn't this way when I stayed here 2 years ago when it was Delano.
