Angleterre & Residence Hotel

Hotel Angleterre is at walking distance to IMD. I have stayed this hotel during my training program at IMD. The overall service has been very good. I like the hotel design, the room is spacious and functional. I feel I am very well taken care of. I will come back next time if I enrol to IMD again. Thank you!

The room was very large. The comfort is exceptional. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is in the center directly at the lake. Perfect hotel for business or holiday stay in Lausanne.

I spent 4 night at the Angleterre for a IMD program and I do not regret it. Rooms were really nice and gorgeous, minibar was included. So was breakfast. The staff were friendly, albeit a little on the slow side at the front desk. The place is overall impeccable and you sleep really well (as in no noise). It is located right at the waterfront and really close to the cable car, so ideally to explore the area. Also, if you are at a program at IMD (business school) then it is about a 700m walk. I am not sure if the room was a special deal via IMD, but CHF 250 per night for a 4 star hotel with such gorgeous rooms is a steal in Switzerland. Would come back, for sure. Only complaint: The pillows are horrendous, so is the mattress liner. As such, sleep quality ended up being average.

The rooms are a bit smaller than photos show and some had very low slanted beams/angles. Most views were of other buildings. Staff was very disorganized and often not so helpful. However, the staff who greeted us and took our bags up to room were lovely and everyone was friendly. The pool was a surprising perk as the weather was hot! The location is excellent!

Wonderful place to stay in Lausanne. We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very helpful on things to do, places to eat We reserved a Superior room with a lake view and had a wonderful view of Lake Geneva and the snow capped mountains. There was a nice outdoor area with a few tables which we used to have wine and snacks in the evenings with our friends. Very convenient location to restaurants, ferries and M2 transit. The hotel was very prompt in sending us Lausanne Cards for our local transportation. Room was modern, clean and very spacious by European standards. The walls were thick so we never heard our neighbors. The building our room was in had an elevator but we had to walk up a couple flights of stairs to get from the lobby to the building where our room was. We would highly recommend this hotel.
