Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa Lausanne

The hotel is well located and offers modern, spacious rooms. On the downside, the breakfast could be more varied, as the selection is quite limited.

Wonderful service and a beautiful location. Great restaurants on property and local transit (tram) station just steps away. Rooms are nicely appointed and the amenities are plentiful. Very nice hotel.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne. Here are our unbiased views. From the moment we pulled up in our hire car out the front of the Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne, we could not help but be struck by the sheer size of the building and the ornate beauty of the Belle Epoque architecture. We were immediately greeted by Dorian(spelling?) who took our keys to park our car and unloaded our luggage. Upon walking in, we marvelled at the beauty internally, the reception counter looked magnificent...but it wasn't the reception counter at all, but rater the counter of the concierge! Off to the right we discovered the less spectacular reception counter that still looked cool. Without further ado, we were given our room swipe and we made our own way up the elevator. Upon entering our room, we were rather impressed by the parquetry floor, the couch and coffee table. The state of the art bathroom with a tv over the bath was impressive, though we didn't use it(!) However, it was the terrace which was the star of the show. It was huge and a show stopper. With the 34 degree temperatures, during our two night stay, it was not possible to spend too long out there, but that will have to wait for another time. Breakfast was outdoors and fantastic. Staff were very attentive and we were very impressed by Youssef who was amenable and very professional, as they all were. We had dinner in the bar on day two, and it was excellent. Again, all staff present were delightful and attentive, not least the young Chilean lady who was always attentive to our needs. The swimming pools are so-so, lacking a certain wow factor, but still very good nevertheless, and a welcome relief from the heatwave. How would we rate our stay? We could heap all sorts of platitudes, but the ultimate litmus test is the question: "would you stay there again?" Yes. Unequivocally we would stay here again. Two nights really is not enough to truly enjoy a hotel, and we both agreed that next time three to four nights would be the optimum hotel experience. Aside from the hotel's beauty, our enduring memory will be Dorian's omnipresence. Whether opening car doors, parking cars, taking care of luggage, or simply being present at the concierge desk with a reassuring smile, he came to epitomise a commitment to excellence which is the living testament to the days of the original grand hotels.

The location was wonderful and the rooms were excellent and comfortable. I am writing to ask what brand of pillows are utilized in the rooms? Not once did I wake up with my neck hurting. Please let me know if you can.

I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Savoy Lausanne. I would like to sincerely thank all departments for their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail throughout my visit. A special mention goes to the Spa team, which provided a truly relaxing and high-quality experience — the perfect place to unwind. Most of all, I would like to thank Youssef from the Concierge team. His recommendations for the city, restaurants, and activities were outstanding and made my stay even more memorable. His knowledge, helpfulness, and warm attitude truly made a difference. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.
