... what can I say, we liked it so much last year we came back this year!! All the staff from the most junior to the senior made our stay very memorable. Special mention to Mitchell and Tarun in the Beach Bar - local wine and rums were great. Rao and Jayram in the Boathouse - loved the rose petals on the table! And to Manisha who was Queen Bee at Breakfast. Very many thanks to you all. Hubby also rated the deep sea fishing experience (1550m) deep, not shabby.

We found our stay at the St. Regis Le Morne quite disappointing, with multiple frustrating experiences that made this portion of our African honeymoon the opposite of the relaxing experience we had envisioned. Positives: The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with stunning beaches framed by a breathtaking mountain backdrop. The food was good—featuring a well-stocked breakfast buffet, a variety of dining options, and attentive servers in the restaurants. Many of the staff members we encountered were kind and helpful. Negatives: Unfortunately, these positives were overshadowed by several issues. Check-in was frustratingly slow, which was disappointing after a 4 hour flight and a 1 hour and 20 minute transfer to the hotel. Daily room maintenance near our suite and the beach brought loud construction noises and a regular smell of paint fumes, making it difficult to enjoy the seaside or mornings in our suite. The butler service, which had been promoted as a highlight, fell short: after being introduced to our assigned butler on the first night, we had no further direct interactions. Miscommunications were frequent with the butler service, from failing to make a dinner reservation, delayed laundry service that required me to follow up three separate times (ultimately forcing me to wear unwashed clothes to dinner), and misunderstanding requests made through WhatsApp. Service was also overly intrusive at times, with housekeeping ringing our doorbell multiple times in the morning while we were still asleep, requests to check our minibar for inventory at 9 am in the morning, and constant questions and checks ins from multiple different staff members while trying to relax. Something as simple as a “Do Not Disturb” sign could have prevented these repeated interruptions in the morning and evening hours. Bottom line: If you’re seeking a luxurious, truly relaxing stay, I would wholeheartedly recommend looking elsewhere. It’s disappointing to write this, as we had been so excited for this part of our honeymoon and I wasted a large points redemption for this stay.

I have traveled all of my career and have stayed at over 1000 different locations. This property is my all time favorite. The hotel, the staff, the food, the Everything was quite simply amazing. Special shout out to the Food & Beverage manager, Smitesh Heeroo. He made our stay extra special in so many ways. I wish I could give them a higher rating. Simply a world class hotel with impeccable service that happens to be in the most beautiful place in the world.

Absolutely stunning location with turquoise waters and Le Morne mountain as the backdrop. Spacious, elegant rooms, excellent dining, and top-notch butler service. Staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel at home. The perfect mix of luxury, tranquillity, and Mauritian charm. Can’t wait to return!. heartily thanks to Sana our dedicated butler, Shyam and ishika from the breakfast team. Not to forget Lucinda for smiley welcome.
