Wonderful experience, fantastic staff from start to finish - from car drop off to sommelier, all were out of this world. Great breakfasts, fun lunches on the lawn and really good dinners. Great location in the middle of Menaggio with a 2 minute walk in to town to soak up some atmosphere.

I wanted to give this hotel 3.5 stars, but that's not possible and I thought 3 stars was too harsh, so I landed on 4. The pros: The service is top notch. Impeccable. Concierge was incredibly helpful (got us a last minute boat tour on the exact boat we wanted) and every employee we came across at the hotel was helpful and considerate. You don't go more than 30 seconds standing around waiting for someone to make sure you need help (not in an annoying way, in a perfectly helpful way). The room itself was well appointed and a good size. The hotel itself is new and modern looking. Cocktails were delicious The medium: The food at the restaurant was pricy and middle of the road. The filet was expensive and couldn't have been more than 4oz. Service at the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast selection is great - amazing pastries and the fresh orange juice is probably the best I have ever had. The bad: The view. We had the "Exclusive Suite Lake View" room which supposedly is one of the best views in the hotel. The room is set quite far back from the lake and the majority of the view is the back of the hotel which houses apartments for full-time residents of Menaggio. Those apartments have a direct line of sight into the room, so any time you walk out of the bathroom (i.e. after a shower), if your shades are open, you are completely exposed. It doesn't feel "exclusive" at all. Also, when you wake up and open the blinds you are getting a view of an apartment building rather than a lake. For the price of the room you should be on top of the lake and have total privacy. So, while I would definitely stay here again, I would not spend the extra money on the lake view rooms

This hotel was pure magic — now that we're home, I still find myself dreaming about going back. From the moment we arrived, everything felt elegantly appointed, right down to the smallest details. Our room was huge and beautiful, with a stunning view of the lake, and the property strikes a perfect balance between modern and classic — the best of both worlds. The gala and fireworks were absolutely spectacular, and the spa was unreal — I could have spent the entire day there, and the deep tissue massage was fantastic. We also loved that Menaggio was quieter than Bellagio, with such a charming, cute town to explore, and the beach club was a huge hit with our two kids. What truly made the stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. General Manager Mr. Schmidt and Manager Lorena went above and beyond, and a wonderful woman at the concierge desk (I wish I'd caught her name!) jumped in right away to help me arrange a boat trip I'd forgotten to book — same day, no hassle at all. We cannot wait to come back.

Reborn in 2021, the 2-Michelin-Key Grand Hotel Victoria Concept & Spa is a premier lakefront retreat featuring 81 luxury rooms and suites, along with an expansive 1,200 m² spa facility. Our stay here was truly exceptional. From the moment we pulled up, the valet team welcomed us warmly, what a privilege not to have to worry about parking in Menaggio on a busy summer day! At check-in, we were graciously offered a choice of prosecco, wine, or water. The reception team was extremely warm, hospitable, and knowledgeable; after a smooth check-in, they gave us a detailed tour of the property, including the beautiful pool area. Upon learning we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with a lovely cake in our room, where a bottle of prosecco and fresh fruit were already waiting for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent spa: complete with a hydromassage pool, saunas, and hot/cold foot reflexology area. One of us booked a massage, and the feedback was superb. Dining at the lakefront restaurant was equally romantic, with exquisite presentation and fantastic flavors. As guests who prefer a firm mattress, we found the bed to be absolute perfection, guaranteeing a deep, high-quality sleep. The thoughtful touch on our departure day truly set them apart: after checking out to explore Varenna, we returned at 4:00 PM and were immediately greeted with ice-cold mineral water, an absolute life-saver in the summer heat! The team even placed two fresh canned waters in our car for the drive home. Overall, the service is impeccable, warm, and defined by an extraordinary attention to detail. Grand Hotel Victoria richly deserves every bit of its two Michelin Keys.

This was our first time visiting Lake Como, and we initially chose the Grand Hotel Victoria because we were there for a friend’s wedding and the wedding party was staying at the hotel. We also wanted somewhere special to celebrate our anniversary, and the hotel ended up exceeding our expectations in every way. The property itself is beautiful and perfectly captures the traditional elegance and charm you hope for from a Lake Como hotel, while incorporating a modern renovation that makes the entire experience incredibly comfortable and luxurious. It manages to feel both classic and contemporary without losing the character of the property. The staff were exceptional from start to finish—warm, friendly, incredibly helpful, and responsive. No matter what we needed, someone was always there to help, and the level of service really made the stay feel special. The food and drinks were also fantastic, with a special shoutout to Lago Restaurant, which was quite possibly our best meal in Italy. Everything about the experience was outstanding. The location is another huge advantage. Having easy access to the town of Menaggio, while also being so close to the ferries that take you to other parts of Lake Como, made exploring the area convenient. We loved being able to enjoy the hotel and town while still having the flexibility to explore the lake. But the biggest highlight of the hotel has to be the spa and pool area. It is, by far and away, the most impressive hotel spa facility we have ever experienced in all of our travels. We absolutely loved spending time there, and using the spa and pool became the best part of our days. It is truly something special and a major reason we would come back. A huge thank you to the entire Grand Hotel Victoria team for making our first trip to Lake Como—and our anniversary—so memorable. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Como. We can’t wait to come back!
