It’s a nice hotel, it’s not a 5 star hotel. It feels more like the nicest hotel on the Jersey Shore. Stay at the Waldorf Astoria Seychelles or Maldives or any Aman or Rosewood and you’ll see the difference. We mostly enjoyed Lake Como but you can tell it’s a points hotel. I’ve heard several conversations along the lines of: I can’t believe I can open up one credit card and stay here for 5 nights! -- and it shows by who stays there. Mostly it’s a major let down when it costs so many points and there are MUCH better options out there for less. If I would’ve paid 1500 USD per night (which is what it cost in cash) I would have demanded a refund and left. Next time I’m in Como I would stay at a nicer hotel in a different town. Menaggio is fine but it feels a little like Disney World; the handful of restaurants there are not good (look at Google reviews) and there’s basically only Americans (I say this as an American) because of the hotel. I would actually try another lake next time. Lake Como in the summer is hot and PACKED wall to wall with people everywhere you go which is not very fun. We befriended an American couple who were on their honeymoon and they felt the same thing - they were very disappointed that they decided to stay at the hotel for their honeymoon of all things! BEWARE. The beach club they own a little bit away from the hotel is fine but it’s not free; it costs 80-200 Euros per day (depending on the location of your beach chairs.) But really it’s at least 130 Euros because the cheaper area is the kids section. There were so many kids at this hotel. Truly it was shocking. It felt like a family all-inclusive hotel in Cancun. Try to relax at the pool with 10 kids screaming at the top of their lungs while their parents are drinking an Aperol Spritz and completely tuning them out. On the plus side: the staff is very nice, the free access to the large spa is fun and the views of the lake are incredible. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the live music on the front lawn at night. Overall the hotel was disappointing for how expensive it is and I wouldn’t stay there again. Try another town on Lake Como or one of the many other lakes nearby.

This is perhaps one of the very best hotels I've ever stayed at. Pros included (1) beautiful property, (2) spacious room, (3) an incredible beach club (10 minute walk from the main building) with beach chairs and an infinity pool, (4) incredible breakfast (the one place in Italy where we found a good iced coffee), (5) a very nice pool (in addition to the beach club pool), and (6) great location in the heart of Menaggio. Only con was the check-in and check-out were quite slow. There was a big group when we arrived and after waiting for 25 minutes, it took another 15 minutes for them to go through their prepared remarks. On the way out, similar story. Truly a remarkable set up buildings and amenities. Would highly recommend, definitely worth the price tag.

This hotel offers everything you need for a fantastic unique stay. We stayed three nights and each night was fantastic. Many thanks to Lorena who accommodated our family in a very spacious room and gave as a wonderful overview of the hotel amenities. Thank you to Sofia for showing us the hotel and be there to answer all our questions. Special thanks to Giuliana for her top notch service at Breakfast. We loved our family time at the spa. Being able to bring our kids was an incredible experience. We also enjoyed the beach club with all the amazing amenities for adults and kids. The pools with spa features was a fantastic surprise. We hope to be back soon, Lake Como is such an incredible destination.

We dinned at the restaurant and the level of service was outstanding surpassed only by the quality of food which was simply delicious, each plate was a spectacular work of art which tasted even better than it looked…. Thank you for a wonderful memorable experience.
