Perfection in a Weekend

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The Miraval Berkshires is my favorite property to visit annually. It’s like an adult camp with world class spa facilities, which is the perfect mix for me. I took advantage of all the offerings which included learning how to blow-out my hair, climbing a ropes course, some yoga, wine tasting, hiking some trails, and so much more. As soon as I enter the doors to the Miraval lobby, I am able to take a deep breathe and relax. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay - answering endless questions we had. Omayra specifically was fabulous. She helped us during our arrival. Once we were checked in and ready to head to our room, Brian took over and was fantastic. He walked us through the Great Hall, explaining all the important details about the property and tips for our stay. He is the perfect welcoming committee. When we arrived in our room, things got even better. The room is so comfortable and beautiful. I truly debated if I just wanted to stay in the room and relax, or start heading to activities. Activities ending up winning but it was definitely an internal debate! I could go on and on about this property, but instead, I’ll provide the HSH Pro/Con/Recommendation list: Pros: - The staff! From the moment you walk into the main building, you are treated spectacularly. All of the staff were top notch from the front desk, to valet, to restaurant outlets, the activities, etc. For the activities, we had the pleasure of joining Michael, Chill Will, Marc, and Bridget. We adored them! - Love the backpacks to carry around items such as water bottle, the guide, my book, etc. - Spa facilities are incredibly relaxing - Room was extremely comfortable and relaxing - Like that the hotel encourages you to put your phone away. It was nice to unplug while there Cons: ZERO! Recommendations for hotel: - One small recommendation: The guest bathrooms need a hand towel rack I also wanted to provide a list of activity recommendations for any traveler heading to the Miraval: - Boga board - Any classes Bridget teaches - Morning nature walk - Warrior challenge ropes course - Next year going to add in cardio drumming (everyone was talking about how fun it is) and transgressions past life If you can’t tell by the above, I love this property and can’t wait to go back for multiple reasons.

Miraval Berkshires, A Wellness Village

Absolutely amazing experience! A Wellness Village! I especially loved the equine programs, working with the horses on the ground. As someone who has ridden horses for many years, this different experience was amazing and I actually now prefer it.

We are big fans of Miraval!!

Great spa resort in a beautiful part of the Berkshires. The staff and service are outstanding, the facilities are beautiful and well equipped, the rooms are pretty and well-appointed with amazingly comfy/luxurious bedding, the spa is excellent with a nice variety of treatments, and we loved the choice of activities (we did yoga, archery, meditation, hiking, kayaking, hanging by one of the pools with a good book--you can do as much or as little as you like). We had great meals at the Harvest Moon restaurant and all day snacks and coffees at the Roost, with lots of choices and no limitations like at some spas. You can be health-conscious, or splash out if you are in search of something more indulgent (wine and cocktails are also available to buy) It's pricey, well worth a splurge for a special trip! I've been every year since 2022, and it's become a nice anniversary tradition/treat for my husband and me.

We can't wait to come back to the calm!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had a wedding in the Berkshires and extended our trip with 3 days, 2 nights here. Location is stunning. Atmosphere is calming and lovely. Our Hemlock suite was wonderful. Food in Harvest Moon was amazing. as was the service there for all 3 daily meals. The Roost made great coffee and other drinks. Snacks there were fantastic too. The property did a wonderful job of anticipating our needs from the moment we drove up. They not only valet your car, they unload it and the bags make their way to your room. It's like magic. Checkin was smooth as we got there very early and were able to use the facilities before our room was ready. Our room was ready prior to check in time, which made life easy. Late checkout wasn't proactively offered, but was provided upon request. I would have liked a touch more Globalist acknowledgement - but I'm splitting hairs for a wonderful stay. We did the farm tour with Chester, which was a great time to learn about the animals and vegetation on property. We took a charcuterie class with Eric. It was fun but I think we went in already being a little advanced. We still learned some really fun techniques. We did tea talk in the yurt with Veronica. This was really lovely! It was just an open conversation about what's going on in our lives over some tea in a calm setting. It really punched above it's weight. We did Archery with Gregg which was INCREDIBLE. Very beginner friendly. Gregg was a terrific teacher. We did the donkey experience with Jodi. It was SO much fun to hang out with the animals. Very relaxing. When I get stressed, I remind myself to "make the donkey approach you." We did the vibrational sound chamber with Violet. This was so relaxing and a perfect way to end a long day. Our last day, we did chicken keeping with Chester. It was fun to learn about what lovely birds chickens are and about their eggs. The highlight was laying in the spa relaxation room with tea and a book. Could not think of a more serene setting to be calm. We kept our phones in the room pretty much the whole time - this has such a healing effect in itself. I just wish they had a photographer for the activities so we can have some memories. I can't wait to come back!
