The entire resort and spa environment was amazing; beautiful place. The food is incredible - all fresh healthy ingredients and plenty of options; allergies accounted for. There’s something to do for every type of interest and skill level. You can also completely do absolutely nothing or just sit, read, meditate, swim or stare at the trees and be totally content. The staff is incredible - helpful, attentive and happy. I will definitely be returning - for a longer stay. I also would like to visit the other locations.

This hotel needs to get its act together. There is a culture only no here, and for $3600 a night that is just unacceptable. We came to this hotel for a weekend of relaxation and I found it anything but. From the experience planners there who were extremely perfunctory and rude, to the front desk who couldn’t care less about their customer’s needs, this place needs a complete overhaul when it comes to attitude. First example (and there are many) - when my husband and I tried to ask about booking experiences, the woman at the experience planning desk just told us that things were booked, offered up no alternatives, and was completely rude. Last night, we were trying to get to a charity gala at the pillow and when we asked for help coordinating car service, the front desk said just try to schedule an uber. Ok - no big deal, but then our “scheduled” Ubers didn’t come through and the woman could not be bothered. She said it would be a liability for them to drop us off with no guaranteed return and she was worried about us being stuck out there and literally “sleeping on the ground”. Her words - not a paraphrase. Does she not have relationships with car service or taxi companies in the area who could help us? We are grown adults - this was such a bizarre response and is representative of the lack of care this hotel has for their guests. To be completely honest, we didn’t plan our experiences in advance of arriving at the hotel, but at this price point, why should we? Plan for your guests being quite busy and build in some flex for scheduling activities. Instead of offering up ideas of other experiences that we may have enjoyed, the woman just stated that the ones we wanted weren’t available. Zero spa appointments available. At a WELLNESS resort. The pool has no pool attendants. No one to grab a towel for you, no waters by the pool, literally nothing. If you want a drink, you have to go inside and order something and bring it out. You might as well just be hanging out at your friends’ pool. Also no snacks in the room. Only a fridge with a bottle of water. No turn down service. I have never paid so much for such little service - I will not be going back. I also never write reviews - so this is truly that bad. I have no idea what this resort is thinking charging these rates with zero customer service. Get your act together, guys- this is embarrassing.

Miraval Berkshires is an amazing place to recharge. I wish I could have spent more time in the spa. Ginger Healer is the best treatment. The GM was so kind to acknowledge our special anniversary. Food is delicious and healthy. Too many classes to pick from- I wanted to do them all. Happy hips class is a must. It’s like a luxury summer camp for adults. Go for at least 3 days. The bedding of to die for.

Lawn crew was working in full force under our window at 7:00 am! And, don’t book room 2113!! Sagging mattress, insufficient lighting, and on the corner with multiple eye-to-eye views of the parking lot. Despite the sleeping quarters, it was a great week and reminded me of my happy days at summer camp. Floating meditation, ropes course, “Understanding Tarot,” and kayaking were all terrific. The food was great. Be aware while you are given a daily credit for classes, you also pay a hefty daily resort fee which cancels out your credit. There is a good breakfast and lunch buffet, but you can also order off the menu. The “grab and go” yummy baked goods go fast so ask for several and keep in your room. The property is not luxurious as I had expected; it has a very nice summer camp vibe. If you manage your expectations in that regard and make peace with paying for all the interesting activities/classes you will have a great retreat- just avoid room 2113!
