Timbers Kauai

Previous review from 2 years ago was 5 star+. This time not so much. AC issues on both floors. Twice on. the second floor. BOTH for known issues they hadn’t repaired. Restaurant tried to bill us twice on the gratuity on a split bill for 8. Said that had never happened and didn’t know how to fix it. Took much conversation and the restaurant manager to finally get it resolved. Unable to get change for a large bill (for tips) because only the manager could do that and she wouldn’t be in until 11:30. Still wasn’t available at 1:30 (?). But, it is a beautiful location (trust me, the proximity of the airport is a non-issue). The food at the restaurant is great. The golf course is fantastic. It’s just not the same since staff turnover. And overall service not quite the same. Sorry.

This resort is pricey, but you get what you pay for. The service, overall facilities, and rooms are amazing. The restaurant had some of the best food we ate on our visit. This resort feels so private and luxurious! We stayed with our family of 8 (adults, young adults, and one teenager) and everyone had an amazing experience! I would stay here again. Some people have mentioned the airport noise and helicopter tours flying overhead in their reviews, but we weren't that bothered by it. Maybe it's because we live near an airport. I loved waking up to an ocean view every morning, and we had a beautiful four-bedroom unit with a private plunge pool that was exactly as pictured on the website. The resort offers quick access to the airport and other island activities.

From the minute that we arrived, we were greeted by the exceptional staff. The rooms, the grounds and surround are breathtaking. Everything about Timbers Kaua'i is top notch. If you're looking for a quiet retreat with unparalleled views and beauty, this is the place!

This is a fabulously luxurious experience--we love the villa that we could experience with our family of 8. Keep in mind that there are many resort related fees beyond the nightly rate (30% more) when you book, and the checkout time is early--10am. But there are facilities you can use on the property after you leave your accommodations. The food was excellent, too.

Timbers Kauai is the jewel of the Timbers collection. The location on the water coupled with the outstanding service, top to bottom, makes it a first class choice. The restaurant is one of the best, if not the best, on Kauai. The golf course is amazing with the longest ocean front yardage anywhere in Hawaii. The residences are well equipped and spotless. Lots of aloha!
