Altis Belem Hotel & Spa

Super survey from the front desk, I’ve never had such good service. The buffet was to die for for breakfast. The Spa services are incredible. Although I think they can improve their staff. I wasn’t impressed with the Massage and the dinner next-door was something to experience a little bit pricey, but that’s the type of experienceand just too much love and everything is so perfect here. I really enjoyed the people that recommended at the front desk in Emma and the other gentleman that helped us with everything.

Staff are lovely - front desk - breakfast staff - but the place is well worn and could use updates such as toilet seat is a lid that falls hard - shower is old style and tub awkward to shower in - coffee maker in room (Nespresso) obviously broke for some time and full of water from who knows how long before we got there; wine and spirits ridiculous priced on patio. Bed was comfy.

Sleek and modern hotel in a beautiful location by the river. Altis is not in central Lisbon -there are good connections though- but remember, not all the points of interest are in the centre: Belém, besides a beautiful promenade along the river, boasts quite a few landmarks, historic sites, an outstanding cultural centre and is a sort of museum district with many of them around. This establishment looks contemporary and sophisticated. The room I was given had a fantastic view from the balcony and everything was impeccable clean. Comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom, made up of two separated spaces which is very convenient. Friendly and professional staff. Nice dining-room with a view over the river and the yatchs docked in the marina nearby. Breakfast was very good and complete, with many delicatessen to choose from.

Very well situated hotel, extremely welcoming and professional, amazing room, amazing breakfast, fantastic bar and staff. I highly recommend this hotel, it is first class, elegant, beautiful, immaculate and friendly.

In Lisbon for an extended period to visit family around Christmas, I chose to stay at the Altis Belem hotel because of its location on the River Tagus. Every morning a delicious breakfast was included, with a buffet of fresh fruit, cheeses, cold meats, and bread and pastries, including both traditional Portuguese custard and croissants. One could order eggs any style, including eggs benedict. The bar looked out over the river and supplied drinks and food (snacks and more). A sumptuous Christmas Eve dinner for guests was truly memorable. My spacious room with a comfortable bed and both tub and shower overlooked the marina. All in all, a fine experience. The staff, most of whom spoke excellent English, were accommodating and friendly throughout my stay.
