The marina view rooms are amazing! We loved the hotel. Just outside you can take boat tours/sunset cruises. Belém is a lot further from the city center than we realized. It’s 1 1/2 hour walk to the old town and less than a $10 uber. We took a tuktuk tour and stayed at the end stop. We loved our 2 nights here but we had stayed in the old city on the front end of our trip.

We booked the Altis Belem for a four-night city break and were not disappointed. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff on reception, especially Ema who was a star throughout our stay. She showed us to our room and explained how everything worked, more importantly she arranged a room swap as our original request had not made it to the hotel. Our room was a first-floor deluxe river view room, this gave us a panoramic view west over the Doco do Bom Sucesso and the River Tagus, the sunsets were impressive. The room was large and had plenty of storage space and an easy to understand safe. The bathroom included double sinks, a bath and an enormous walk-in shower. Breakfast is served from 07:30 and is comprehensive, there is too much choice to mention, it will set you up for the day! The only slight negative, which is due to geography and not the hotel is the noise from the road and railway, however this can be mitigated with earplugs. The Tower of Belem and the Monument to the Discoverers are a five minute walk from the hotel. Belem railway station is a 10-15 walk, with trains to Cascais and Lisbon every 30 minutes. You will be asked for a deposit on arrival (€ 50), however on departure this will be used to pay the tourist levy of €2 per person, per night. A final plaudit, our transfer to the airport failed to turn up and then would not answer the phone. Ema made a call and a taxi arrived in under five minutes, problem solved. Overall, an easy five stars, enjoy your stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars We had a wonderful stay at Altis Belém Hotel and couldn’t fault the service. It’s a gorgeous hotel, but what really stood out was how friendly, attentive and professional all the staff were. The breakfast staff were amazing — so attentive, polite and welcoming. A special mention to Hugo, who remembered our order from the day before and was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. He was such a lovely, professional gentleman and really made us feel looked after. The concierge team were also extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. We also had a massage in the spa, which was a wonderful experience. The masseuses were highly skilled, friendly and professional, and it was the perfect way to relax. Overall, a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff who genuinely go above and beyond. We would absolutely stay here again. 5⭐️ — highly recommended!

We couldn't have booked a better hotel for our recent visit to Lisbon, Portugal. There was so much to do within walking distance. Public transportation was nearby and ride share was readily available. The city center and cruise port were a fifteen to twenty minute car ride away. The Altis was very nicely appointed and every team member we met was attentive and genuinely concerned for our needs. If your travels take you to Lisboa, keep the Altis Belem in mind if you're interested in history, art and wonderful food.

Super survey from the front desk, I’ve never had such good service. The buffet was to die for for breakfast. The Spa services are incredible. Although I think they can improve their staff. I wasn’t impressed with the Massage and the dinner next-door was something to experience a little bit pricey, but that’s the type of experienceand just too much love and everything is so perfect here. I really enjoyed the people that recommended at the front desk in Emma and the other gentleman that helped us with everything.
