Excellent quality hotel. Beautiful lobby, helpful staff, and lovely room. I especially love that there is not only a bathroom door, but a solid wood door that is on a hinge and closes! (As opposed to a sliding/barn door or no door at all that so many hotels are doing now, which is awful!!!) Breakfast was very good and was happy there was a gym, even though it could use some better equipment and a Peloton. If you're like me and absolutely hate that hotels are putting cheap sliding doors, or no doors at all, on the bathrooms, then this hotel is for you! Location is decent, but we found ourselves taking an Uber a lot, but they're so cheap in Lisbon it was perfectly fine, and more convenient than the public transportation.

Great city break. Everyone was so polite especially Carolina (guest service Manager). Hope we will come back again. Thank you again :)

After staying at a 5 star hotel in Porto before visiting Lisbon, this was quite the contrast when my mom and I arrived to the Intercontinental. This was my first stay at an Intercontinental property and most definitely my last. The rooms are very dated, tiny closet with small rickety drawers. The light in the closet would just flick on and off as you hang your jacket. The bathroom was large but the towels were dingy, thin, rough and smelled musty, like they are kept in a basement closet. I was nervous they would give me a rash. No washcloths are provided either. Just 2 formerly white bath towels and 2 hand towels for 2 people. There's also a slippery beige bath mat for the tub (shower tub combo is white) like from the 90s that doesn't suction too well. I banged my knee twice stepping into the tub because of it. Also no shower door, just a half glass so the floor gets wet. There are only USB chargers next to the bed but no outlets so you can plug in a USBC cable. I had to unplug the bedside lamp. There was an overhead bed light but if I moved/adjusted it, it would just fall. The WiFi was unreliable. Also, can hear any noise from the hallway. Service was inconsistent. Our first morning at breakfast was a little chaotic. No one tells you you can order eggs from a server (I only knew from reading the reviews here). Our omelettes were tasteless the first morning but improved thereafter, as did the service. Good assortment otherwise, something for everyone. Mgmt seems to really care, making sure everything is replenished. Wanda was very sweet and welcoming. Some of the doormen were very friendly and gracious, some ignored me (a couple were standing around after I opened my own Uber door. I smiled and said hello- got nothing back), another night there was no one present at all. I'm just very confused how this is a 5 star hotel. Also, if you don't want to take an Uber everywhere, this is not a good walking location. It is far from downtown.

Great first stay at the Intercontinental Lisbon. Arrived after checkin time and my room was ready. I was shown to my room and immediately had a comfy and quiet full night’s sleep. Room was very clean and well maintained, with convenient power ports, and a wonderful bed. For the rest of my stay, I took breakfast in the lounge, and enjoyed the evening happy hour. The lounge staff was wonderful, especially Jessica who remembered everything about her guests. The evening lounge offering was beyond what was expected, similar so to something you’d see at a Ritz Carlton Club in the U.S. The hotel is conveniently located across from a park, and near groceries, shopping, dining and metro. While in town for a specific purpose, I did had time to walk the area and enjoy the park and window shopping. Lovely stay. Can’t wait to return. P.S. On my last visit, stayed at the Ivens, which was nice, but honestly I prefer the Intercontinental (plus the price point is better).
