The Palace is an amazing place. It is gorgeous and beautiful but with all the right modern facilities. The service is impeccable. It is a place of quiet and feels so special after schlepping around the city. The bar is fabulous, the pool amazing and the rooms delightful.

We stayed in room 602 before a SilverSea cruise. What a fantastic room and the entire hotel, staff and amenities were top notch!

In an era in which there are many three and four star hotels masquerading as five star facilities, Lisbon’s Olissippo Lapa Palace Hotel is a true five star hotel. The Lapa Palace hotel is a magnificent, beautifully maintained facility with luxurious accommodations, beautiful grounds and common areas and outstanding service. From the moment one enters the Lapa Palace, guests are embraced by a warm and gracious staff - from the attentive door team to the front desk staff and concierge team. The hotel’s hospitality and depth of service is reminiscent of such iconic benchmarks as Paris’s famed Le Bristol and Madrid’s Palacio de los Duques Gran Melia. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed and had a large outdoor terrace overlooking the hotel’s manicured gardens and swimming pool. During our week at the hotel, the terrace provided a perfect vantage in which to enjoy Lisbon’s abundant sunshine. The hotel’s housekeeping was exemplary, consistent with the impeccable standards of this superbly managed facility. The food service was outstanding, from the extravagant breakfast buffet to its refined restaurants, all staffed by incredibly warm and gracious staff members. A special note is warranted for the hotel’s outstanding concierge department, managed by Rui Palma, the head concierge. From the moment we made our reservation and contacted the hotel via email, the concierge department was extraordinarily responsive, assisting us with dinner reservations and providing invaluable guidance in connection with Lisbon cultural institutions and historical venues. From our vantage, an experienced and knowledgeable concierge department is critical to one’s exploration of a new Region or City. The hotel’s concierge team has an encyclopedic knowledge of Lisbon and Portugal and worked assiduously to guide us throughout our visit. Mr. Palma’s superb team included Hugo Pereira, Hugo Fonseca, Filipe de Silva and Sonia Abreu - they were a pleasure to work with and helped to make our first visit to Portugal a memorable experience. Bravo to the entire management and service team of this wonderful hotel.

A beautiful hotel with gorgeous grounds but the staff is what makes it perfect. Breakfast is delicious and the bar staff is such fun and attentive. The neighborhood is quiet so this makes your trip very relaxing.
