Great hotel with great staff
We stayed there for 3 nights and it was very pleasant. The rooms are nice and quiet, the breakfast excellent, the amenities are great too, with coffeemaker, minibar, slippers, chocolates at night, you name it. Bot what stands out is staff. Everybody is very helpful and polite and ready to help. Special thanks are due to our lovely receptionist Victoria who helped us to choose the right room, explained many things about the city and booked a great nearby restaurant for an excellent dinner. This treatment does call for coming back! Thanks a lot!

Great place. One hiccup. American review.
Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Got upgraded at check-in, which was a nice surprise. Rooms were clean and the location is hard to beat — walkable to just about everything. The only issue was the A/C. Had it set to 12.5°C and the room was still pushing 76°F. Maintenance came up to look at it and said everything was fine, which was not exactly the answer I was hoping for. Ended up just opening the window, which honestly worked out — Lisbon has beautiful cool nights and that solved the problem better than any HVAC unit would have. Breakfast is a C. Would have been worse but they saved themselves with fresh squeezed orange juice and French press coffee. Everything else on the spread was forgettable. Would stay again. Just maybe not in peak summer if you run hot.

Sofitel 5 stars…I don’t think so….
Last minute weekend. Room had lots of issues…ac not working. Coffe machine broken and safe not working properly. Management was contacted and issues were mostly resolved. Unfortunately sewage smell in the bathroom continued … the back of the hotel gives to Praca da Alegria so very noisy due to musical festival all weekend. They did not have an option to change room so it will not be a repeat for sure…. Need to address these issues they were aware of them at front desk😱🙈

We had a wonderful stay - highlighted by the “Andre Experience”. He looked out for us all the way - from showing us how to navigate the public transport system to recommending and arranging airport transfer.
