Recently stayed for two nights at this hotel. Great staff - friendly and efficient. Perfect location, an easy walk into the main square. Room was ok and a lovely comfortable bed with blackout curtains = a good sleep! Superb restaurant attached too. You can’t go wrong - I will be back. Thank you

Not bad - a few things let us down

We booked the junior suite and stayed for a week. The beds are super comfortable as always at any Sofitel. The housekeeping team were discreet and cleaned the room quickly after we left for breakfast which is great. The not so good - we tried to pre-order a breakfast pack / takeaway for the following morning and the room service team said it was not possible to eat anything before 7am. We gave this feedback to reception at 7am the next morning who said ‘that’s strange’ but nothing was done about it. No apology, no offer to make it right somehow. It’s lost business for them but leaves a poor memory of the hotel for us. The rooms are a little on the dated / aged side - could do with a refurbishment, eg the carpet looks like it needs to be replaced. The breakfast is not at the standard for a Sofitel either - we ended up paying for breakfast outside the hotel after our first morning. If you want a great breakfast we recommend Neighbourhood cafe. When we checked out we weren’t asked about our stay - didn’t expect to be after we gave the feedback on the Thursday morning and nothing was done, but still, strange for a five star hotel. So due to these things we can’t rate the hotel more than 3 out of 5.

Our family had two rooms booked. They upgraded one to the 9th floor while th other room was on the first floor and small. We were far apart from each other even though we had asked to be nearby. This was booked 6 months in advance so there should not have been an issue. The first floor was loud from the sounds that came from outside. They also did not clean the room since they begin from the top floor and by the time they came downstairs it was already near 6pm. We paid for breakfast daily and the entire set up was unorganized. The food was not fresh and very messy. The wait staff took forever to come by if you needed a coffee or wanted to place an order. The front desk was only kind to those who had previously stayed with them and the rest were not treated with kindness. Overall, it was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had in Europe. I would not recommend it no matter what the reviews say about it.

My first and last stay here !

The hotel is aged. The towels are literally grey colour. What disappointed me most. I left “ do not disturb “ sign when leaving for meeting. I put my daily supplements by order and clothes to be ready quickly for another meeting. Everything was moved when I came and there was housecleaning instead of my instructions not to enter. I tried to call reception as I was absolutely frustrated. The phone did not work. I went down the reception and complained. They said they will check how it could happen. But no one even bothered to apologise, or call and simply to check on me. Shameful for 5star hotel with such chain. My last stay here.

Great staff all around. Matress is worn out. Time for a new one. Place is clean. Funkey shower controls. That is all I have to say.. may not get to 200 charackters . Good God almighty please accept this review. What more do you want from me? 123456
