Great location, great staff and excellent hotel. Some rooms are a bit jaded. Ask for room in new part of hotel.

Conveniently located, walkable distance to many attractions. Beautiful, modern hotel, pleasant hotel staff, clean, spacious hotel room, comfortable bed, plenty of room in bathroom for personal toiletries, all bathroom amematies included, nice shower, fairly fast elevators, excellent breakfast with many, many choices. We heard no noise from outside the hotel or in the hallway.

We stayed in the Tivoli as part of our Uniworld River Cruise package on the Douro, so can't review specific individual rooms costs. the hotel lobby appears luxurious, however like with many luxury hotels, the prices in the bar were extortionate (27 Euros for a glass a red wine and a small draft local beer). Whilst we slept relatively well in the room (slight disturbances of hedge-cutters in the early morning and usual traffic), the sink in the bathroom was always blocked. The room attendant must be aware of this, as they left the plug at an angle, so you'd like to think that a more permanent solution could be found. But the most annoying issue, was that our teacups were removed after use, and not replaced. We contacted reception, but got tired of waiting for them to return. One evening, they hadn't returned at all, which we only noticed in the morning when we went to make a cup of tea. Very frustrating!

Such a disheartening stay, unfortunately hotel staff is full of thieves. They steal right out of the rooms and then lie, all to protect the staff. We even had the manager produce altered documents to the police and falsely claim cctv was out of service. Valuables worth hundreds of dollars stolen right from under our noses.

This hotel saved my 2 week cruise vacation. Even though we checked out the day before the staff collected the bags lost by airlines and contacted us to pick up just before cruise left. Everyone working there is so kind and helpful. Top tier service that goes above and beyond the expected!
