1. The location I feel was central close to train station which is good 2. Rooms were not a 5 or 4.5 stars and not worth the money, mattress and bathroom both are in need of an upgrade 3. Overall stay was okay, not worth the money honestly! 4. We got mediocre check-in, until we complain of not having an extra towel and bed linen when we booked for 3 people and the noise like a jack hammer on the 10th floor they switched us to the 14th floor overlooking the train station(not a good view) the bed was so hard and kept separating, bathroom is in dire need of some renovation but at that point did not want to deal with anymore issues, after switching us sent an apology note with a small bottle of port and some sweets sent to the room. Not worth the money for a room in my view

Great 5-star hotel on the main boulevard (Avenida Liberdade). Street vendors setup for several blocks across street. We were on 6th floor (#615) with an interior view of the pool. Comfortable room with bed that was just right. An attendant showed up at the door with small bottles of port wine and the famous puff pastry - nice extra. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. Only negative was arrival check-in when cruise ship arrival overwhelmed the desk. Positive as we were able to get a room at 1:30 pm ahead of normal 3:00 pm check-in time.

The staff made this. The hotel is lovely and the room experience was amazing. But the staff everywhere were so friendly and helpful.

Location is great! Service and room size are below average . Hotel is old and rooms are not updated! Still has carpets in the rooms and not clean carpet! We were excited at first to come to this hotel but lost excitement in a day!

My stay at Tivoli Avenida was exceptional, I wish I had more time to enjoy all that it had to offer. From check in until the day I checked out I enjoyed my stay. I was greeted with a welcome gift, my birthday was celebrated with a cake and bottle of champagne, in addition to receiving a platter of sweets from the spa staff in celebration of my birthday. My room was beautiful as well. Tivoli Avenida really knew how to make a lady feel special.
