This was the first time back to the Tivoli in 25 years. The staff, service and attention to details did not disappoint. It lived up to all of our expectations.

A true classic with impeccable taste. Every time we return, the experience is consistently flawless. This time, the staff went above and beyond to celebrate our wedding anniversary, offering an exceptional and thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special. Tivoli Liberdade remains, without a doubt, one of the finest hotels we have ever had the pleasure to visit.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights following a Uniworld cruise. It certainly was a five-star experience, I was so impressed with the professionalism of all the staff. We were in room 536, which was to the side, away from the construction and with a slight view of the river in the distance. I just loved the thoughtful additional touches, like the port, apples, and chocolates. Really lovely slippers which I am wearing now! Huge, comfortable bed with crisp white linen. The room was spotlessly clean. Nice toiletries in the bathroom with a great shower. We had room service on the last night, which was next level, served on a trolley which converted into a table, I was so happy! Yes, some things were expensive, but in my view, well worth it for the five star experience.

Friendly enough hotel 25 mins (with a nice walk) from the Alfama and main attractions. But rather tired and corporate in its feel (square boring bedrooms) with a very disappointing, slightly pretentious restaurant “experience” included- we were actually offered the restricted lunch menu at dinner, so dined out the second day (much better). Also oddly the hotel disliked the fact that i wanted a twin room (with my daughter) which took some time to settle with upfront. Not the usual experience for a hotel in this category- there are better alternatives available elsewhere.

From the very beginning, the warmth and care shown by Pedro Ferreira and the team made this stay truly special. Every detail — from the beautiful room preparation to the wonderful surprises and the best view in the hotel — reflected genuine thoughtfulness and pride in their service. My guests were absolutely delighted to receive a generous and unexpected upgrade to the Presidential Suite. It was a luxurious touch that made their arrival all the more memorable and set the tone for a perfect stay. Pedro’s kind note and personal attention were deeply appreciated. It’s rare to find this level of sincere, heartfelt hospitality — they felt completely welcomed and looked after. Thank you to the entire team for such an exceptional experience. We’re incredibly grateful and would return without hesitation.
