InterContinental Ljubljana, an IHG Hotel

We stayed 2 nights in a King Premium room at the Intercontinental Ljubljana. The room we were assigned was a very large corner room on the 3rd floor. The bed was excellent and offered a great night’s sleep. There was a separate working area with built in desk and coffee machine. We could hear a small amount of traffic noise but as we sleep with earplugs we didn’t notice it. We were on a cycling tour throughout Slovenia and were looking for a hotel in Ljubljana that offers a secure place to store 2 bicycles. The front desk were able to confirm by email that this was possible. We also had our bags being delivered by taxi and they were stored securely by concierge when we arrived. Breakfast is something special and there is a wide range of very good food options. A nice range of pastries, cakes, hot foods, fruits salad, meats and cheeses. Coffee is ordered through the staff but came very quickly both times… well done! On both nights of our stay we had a cocktail in their bar. The cocktail menu is pretty limited but you can order off menu and I had an excellent whiskey sour. Dinner was a high standard and there’s a nice view from the window tables. The only issue we encountered was waiting time for a lift. We don’t think the hotel was busy but sometimes we were waiting for what felt like 3+ minutes for a lift. We enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental Ljubljana and would highly recommend it.

If you look for a no this is your place. No kindness No wc brush No electric net understandable No car valeting efficiency. When first we checked in crew wasn’t exactly kind The room was way too much modern. The switches turned off the plugs No toilet brush already said. The evening before we booked in advance the valet car return, but we never found it in the drive. Only the breakfast was worth the price

A new and very comfortable Hotel, in walking distance to Ljubljana City center. The rooms are huge, modern and very clean. The staff was very nice, Breakfast on the upper floor with views of the city was amazing, so was the Dinner in the same restaurant. We also used the Spa and booked massages, that was also great. In the pool and Sauna area, which is beautiful too, they should probably have a bit more attention on the guests. We have seen several times guests who did not use a towel in the Sauna, so the wood was completely wet from the badrobes and the sweat, which is actually a bit disgusting and not very hygenic. Also some guests behaved not well and were very loud in the Spa and in the room next to us, which is not the hotels fault, but also nothing was done by the hotel staff to solve the situation. Beside of this, we were very happy with our stay.

My wife and I stayed at Intercontinental Ljubljana recently while on weekend trip. We prefer to stay in American type hotels and this one did not disappoint. Location is walkable to city centre and about 25-30 minutes from airport. The service was very friendly and likable. There is lounge for certain level of members or rooms. Recommend to get access to the lounge. Nightly food and drinks from 5-7p. Breakfast served on 20th floor. There is nice bar and restaurant on 20th floor. Worst item about the stay was room service burger was not cooked as requested. Nice visit in a very special city.

Beautiful, modern hotel with a very kind staff. The city center is very close, walking distance. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. FOOD was AMAZING! Dinner and the buffet breakfast as well. Lots to choose from and very delicious, they cater for the kids as well. Spa is small but nice and has everything you need after a long day of walking around town.
