The art of an incredible hotel is one where you feel as if you’ve come home and yet you’ve had the most luxurious pampering of your life! Not easy to achieve and yet they manage it here - everything is classy and caters to your every need even those you didn’t know you had - best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel - world class offering in a wonderful setting - friendly spa with luxurious steam, sauna, hydro pool and warm beds - beautiful setting in a traditional finca style with an onsite chapel / meditation site (not consecrated) - superb pool area which is so relaxing with enough sunloungers to never worry about having to reserve one and a huge pool! There are flies here but this is common in any inland hotel in the region and I’m only mentioning it to manage expectations and still less than other places I’ve stayed at - beautiful stunning grounds with a turtle pool (yes really!), a herb garden with seats to relax in, lovely horses you can ride and pet if you don’t want to ride, electric bikes and hiking trails - lovely bar (I think this is my only thought that this area could perhaps do with a splash of colour but then that may detract from the relaxing nature of the building) a lovely touch was the complimentary cocktails - again you could choose any you wanted and not just an entry level - we particularly enjoyed the LB version of an aperol spritz with blood orange juice and are already planning to make it at home - fantastic Michelin star dining which deserves more than one star - friendly staff and Alfonso (?) the head wine waiter was excellent and knowledgable - the wine pairings were incredible with the tasting menu and changed, enriched and enhanced the flavours so that this was such a memorable part of our stay - even my husband who really struggles with fine dining experiences due to finding them overlong and stuffy enjoyed this immensely. We really hope we can one day return - it is expensive to stay here but so worth it if you want to treat yourself you will not be disappointed! Thank you so much from one LB to another for making our stay so special!

This place is just beautiful! We received the warmest of welcomes at check-in and stayed in the most amazing suite — huge, rustic, and full of traditional charm. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the grounds are stunning with a huge pool. Our kids absolutely loved it here — from horse riding along one of the trails (the instructor was fantastic) to seeing the horses, donkeys, and even turtles! It’s very family-friendly, and we had a fabulous dinner at La Finca. That said, two things do stick in my mind: • The BBQ was €70 per adult and €45 per child, but the selection was limited and the food just didn’t taste great — we left feeling a bit disappointed given the price. • Airport transfer pricing — the hotel quoted €220 for a 50-minute drive via their sole provider taxi service. Considering the hotel is in the middle of nowhere (the driveway alone is 3 km), I think they could make transfers more accessible, affordable, and guest-friendly rather than profiting from the location. We booked our own transport with Malaga Transfers and paid much less. Overall, a beautiful, relaxing stay in a magical setting — we’d love to return, but would arrange our own transport and skip the BBQ next time.

While the hotel is beautiful and picturesque, they really need to up their service levels. Their room acs do not cool at all. When we asked why they are not cooling they said this is how it is Their menu needs to be revamped to incorporate a global taste profile as it’s catered only to Europeans. We are Indian (Hindu) but live In dubai so the food options were quite limited for us. Having said that the team tried their best to cater to some veg options for us immediately but if you’re planning to stay for 3 nights then be ware as there are very few options and only three main menus across the entire hotel as there are three restaurants. on the final night my son wanted to just have some plain rice and when I asked our server Miguel he said there was no rice remaining. When we asked if there was no rice in the entire hotel he said possibly there is. So he just didn’t want to go out of his way to get me some plain rice for my son. He did eventually get it but why not try the first time around . Also Miguel needs to be more friendly given he is a service staff he stood out as the only non friendly one. Not sure if it was a language barrier. On the pool side we had to wait for a long time to get served . Eventually I walked up to the bar myself and was charged for water which I found very strange as in used to being served still water for free by the poolside on hot and sunny days. But on the second day I noticed that everyone else was simply asking for water and were served in a glass so I ended up doing the same and wasn’t charged this time around. Again a simple add on like just asking the two servers to walk around the pool to serve water in a very hot day would have been lovely. Or serving simple lemon ice lollies for the kids on a day where temperatures reach 40 degrees. The hotel is working in silos. When we asked reception for help with booking the spa they asked to contact the spa directly instead. We wanted to book tickets to Al hambra as there were too many sites claiming they were legitimate . We went to the concierge and they knew as much as we did. So I ended up spending an hour by the pool figuring out which website is the official one to book tickets on and which guided tour to go for. I don’t understand why the hotel staff just cannot help for a simple task like this. Also Their tv in the rooms don’t have any Apple TV or Netflix streaming options . When you’re in a resort like this it’s nice to relax and watch a movie with the kids at night but we were also unable to do that. Again a simple fix that the management can just add. Their usb charging ports were not working In our room. Also there is absolutely nothing to do around the hotel so don’t even bother venturing out unless you’re headed to Al hambra which is gorgeous! We asked the concierge as we wanted to visit the nearest local town and they recommended a restaurant to try in loja. When we reached we found out that the restaurant was closed because it was Sunday 1pm. I don’t understand why the hotel didn’t just inform us to go later at another time. Again the staff individually are kind overall and try hard to help. We loved our horse riding experience with Paloma and her team. They made it very memorable for me and my family and she really tried hard to calm my nerves as I don’t usually do horse riding. For me it’s the hotel management that needs to up their game. I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel until the management gets their act together (we found out from some regulars who stay at the hotel that it was only recently that the hotel changed ownership and therefore the team is a bit all over the place) . I would give it 2 stars out of 5 only because it’s a very picturesque resort , it’s relaxing and because the staff were truly kind and trying their very best.

A beautiful hotel but not 5 *. We had a suite with terrace and the room was dated, dark and the terraces totally uninspiring. Bathroom was very dated. Breakfast was very average and you had to pay extra for items such as pancakes, eggs Benedict. They do make this clear. Food in general was poor. They say they have a Michelin star restaurant - having eaten in many Michelin star restaurants I would query this. Then 2 nights the only option was a paella night (eur 65 pp) and a bbq (eur 70 pp). Both were awful . Swimming pool area is lovely but unfortunately we had several families there and the noise (from the parents not children!) was far from relaxing. I would not recommend this place for couples wanting a relaxing break. All in all a disappointing stay…..
