Our initial two-night visit over New Year's Eve and our subsequent, impulsive decision to return for three additional nights. Simply put, our experience transcended the definition of a holiday; it was a masterclass in hospitality that compelled us to change our travel plans to remain within your care. Our primary purpose for the first stay was to celebrate New Year's Eve in a special setting. Your team did not merely meet expectations; they orchestrated a flawless, elegant, and incredibly warm celebration. The New Year's Eve event was spectacular. The ambiance, the live music, the exquisite culinary offerings, and the thoughtful countdown celebration incl. an amazing fireworks were all executed with sophistication and genuine joy. It felt exclusive and intimate. The true measure of a hotel's excellence is not just in hosting a planned celebration, but in providing such a consistently profound level of service that guests choose to return immediately. After departing for another part of Lombok, we found ourselves comparing everything to our time at The Oberoi. Within 48 hours, we made the decision—the best of our trip—to return to you. This second stay confirmed that the New Year's magic was not a one-off event, but your standard. The rooms, the culinary excellence, the Spa, the Grounds, the fitness and the tennis court, all was remarkable, and above ALL the PEOPLE. Their professionalism is matched only by their authentic, kind, and anticipatory service. The Oberoi was, without a doubt, the best experience of our entire trip. From the moment you arrive, everything feels calm, elegant, and deeply restorative — true high luxury, but with warmth and soul. The property is beautiful, perfectly maintained, and the energy is just… effortless. You feel taken care of without ever feeling “managed.” The team made it unforgettable. Everyone at reception was kind, friendly, and genuinely close in the best way. A special mention to Ali at the restaurant — exceptional service, attentive and charismatic, and he made our dinners feel memorable (we even asked for a receipt from a meal we loved because it was that good). The food deserves its own paragraph: we tried local cuisine that felt elevated and exquisite — authentic, but refined, and honestly some of the best Indonesian flavors I’ve ever had. Breakfast was also incredible. On top of that: the spa was excellent, the gym was in perfect condition, and the whole wellness experience was next level (steam room, treatments, everything). I even played tennis there — another highlight — and the staff who supported that were amazing. This is one of those hotels where you don’t even need to leave to have the perfect days: pool, beach bar, lunch, sunset, spa… everything is there and done properly. If you’re considering it, do it — it’s a truly special place.

We stayed in a one bed villa with sea view, of the private jetty area. Everything about this place is of the highest quality. All the staff are friendly, welcoming, attentive and a pleasure to chat to. The views are amazing. The beach is as good as it gets. We snorkelled in Gili, with the hotel providing the tour and guide. We saw turtles and a shark and loads of other beautiful fish. Gili was busy - not sure we would bother going back there. Lombok though - what an incredible place. Beautiful. Everywhere. Not as crazy as Bali. Equally as stunning but without the high levels of traffic. I proposed to my fiancée under the Pandanas trees, during a romantic meal. Nailed it. Stunning spot! Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff here thought of everything. So many little touches. True 5 star expeirence.
