The Oberoi Beach Resort, Lombok

Where to start ? We spent a week here and after touring Singapore & Bali this was the perfect way to finish our holiday. Whether it’s the recruitment or the training everyone we came into contact with was perfection personified polite, respectful, knowledgeable, friendly and most of all genuinely nice people. Then there’s the resort. All single storey throughout and open planned it was like nowhere else we have ever stayed. It was luxury all the way - think White Lotus without the dramas! Wonderful sunsets, great facilities eg infinity pool, sun loungers overlooking the beach, croquets and even horse riding (all included in the price). Food was top level be it breakfast, high tea or evening meals, we loved it all. Have to name check the following - Ozi and ‘Rabbit’ in reception, Ali in the restaurant, Nadir at breakfast, Rizal and Muji room attendants, Harry and Sayu at the beach plus Dwi and Ulfa tremendous massage therapists. Simply sensational...from the moment we were greeted at the airport to the moment we departed, a team of massively committed talented individuals with a common goal of ensuring the guest experience far exceeds anything you could want or think of. From the personal greetings, getting to know the chef, having our table reserved each night, to the guys snorkelling with us and sailing the boat...non-stop goodness and customer centricity.

This hotel is amazing! Our room was beautiful, spacious and with a lovely large courtyard area with loungers and a patio area with table. The candlelit sunken bath was also a beautiful feature. Services at the hotel was faultless, anticipating our every need and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious from breakfast to dinner and also the treats which were left each day at turndown. We would love to return- this hotel has ruined us forever-we will struggle to match it in future!!

What an amazing hotel!!! I wouldnt even know where to start with this hotel. Everything at this hotel was nothing short of perfection. Every care was given to the smallest of details. We booked x2 luxury garden view rooms. We arrived to the most warm welcoming check in process...where we were immediately made to feel like we were home. The rooms were spacious and immaculate with small sweet details - again showing the attention to detail for every possible needs of the guests. I have to highly commend the professionalism of the staff from reception staff to the beach attendants, and from the restaurant waiters to the housekeeping staff.... every single one of them served us with the most gracious smiles each day. The hotel offers so many complimentary fun activities which we really enjoyed; morning yoga sessions, traditional wood crafting, pottery painting, group cooking classes - just to name a few. The restaurant served an al le carte menu and the food was honestly top class...this is coming from someone who is used to eating at very high end restaurants. I really could write so much more....absolutely no regrets booking this place and would recommend it without a second thought. You will be hard pushed to find a better hotel for your stay in Lombok. The most wonderful stay at the amazing Oberoi Lombok again after 27 years when we first celebrated our honeymoon. It was just as magical the second time - maybe even better. It's a slice of paradise with beautiful staff, delicious food, fabulous rooms& villas and so many personal touches throughout. Stunning setting.
