Tucked away on a tree-lined court between Harrods and Sloane Square, Eleven Cadogan Gardens was the first of London's private luxury town house hotels. This refined boutique property, which occupies four stately Victorian houses, maintains a very English and understated style in traditional wood-paneled guestrooms hung with oil paintings and furnished with antiques. Here you'll cross into a unique atmosphere, where a butler discreetly meets you at the door, and instead of registering, you're invited to sign a leather-bound visitors' book.

It's like walking into a Dickens tale. The lobby, the stairs and the living rooms around are covered with boiserie of dark, old oak with countless portraits, old prints. It looks like a private mansion. No plastic or fancy marbles or glass or steel. We were in a cozy room, non huge but comfortable, clean and quiet. Room service is impeccable, people in the reception are qualified, helpful and very kind. Breakfast is excellent, location is just perfect in the very center of the residential area. In case we come back to London, we know where to stay.

Our 4th time staying at this beautiful hotel. It’s our London home from home now. It was our Wedding Anniversary, and we were completely spoiled by the attentive staff -complimentary champagne and dessert on arrival , and late night drinks on the house too. Looking forward to staying there again in 6 weeks time. Highly recommend this little gem.
