The Ampersand Hotel

This was our third stay since December and is our favorite hotel. Great location, rooms and fantastic staff. It has a very calm feeling and everyone is really welcoming.

Over the past 3 weeks we ended up staying at the Ampersand twice - once for 5 nights, and once for one night. We loved our stay and we will definitely be coming back and recommending this hotel to our friends and family. It is a beautiful property that is very well kept and updated. We had great rooms with lots of room, great layout, great furnishings, excellent minibar. The bed and pillows were superb. Our experience with the staff was fabulous - they were always warm, hospitable, and welcoming. And that always makes such a big difference. Very accomodating. But above all, the location is just fabulous. My wife and I love to walk everywhere and use the trains as much as we can. We were able to walk to many locations, and when we could not, we sued the trains located right next door at the South Kensington Train Station. The place is quiet, although there are tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and retail shops close by. Many museums are close, and its easy to get to heathrow airport from there too. We loved our stay. You will enjoy it too. Oh and its is very well priced for London's absurd hotel prices.

Great location, very good price/quality ratio, excellent (professional and friendly) staff at all levels, very clean room, top quality of the mattresses (I have not slept that well in a hotel a long time). For sure our choice again next time we come to London
