Family friendly hotel

Perfect stay as a young family. Staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Lots of extras included: free cot bed with mattress and baby toiletries - even a little dressing gown!; two glasses of champagne delivered to our room; free macrons inside the room; free soft drinks in the mini bar and snacks including popcorn and biscuits. We ordered room service for our son's dinner and he really enjoyed the tomato pasta. Shower is great. Will definitely return.

Excellent hotel in a great location! Just a few misses…

I initially rated this hotel 4 stars…. Then went back to delete it and changed to 5 stars. Even though there are cons, I felt that the pros outweighed them. My original review: The hotel is in a great location, with south Kensington station just a few minutes away. There are a lot of bakeries, shops and restaurants around the area. There’s also a bus stop and taxis right outside. There are museums within walking distance to the hotel. We were upgraded to a bigger room upon arrival. There was a summer offer which was stay 3 nights and pay for 2. We stayed a total of 6 nights. The neighborhood felt safe, which is important for 2 female travellers. Our room 107 was very spacious, but there are some cons to this. The door to the bathroom is at an odd angle, you need to move aside to fully open it as the space between door and sink is just a couple of inches. There was no view at all, it was actually quite bad, looking out to the next building’s dirty walls. Third issue and the biggest one for us is that the aircon was not working properly. It was HOT. Windows could be opened a little but that meant leaving the curtains open and being on a low floor meant the opposite building can probably see through the room window. Fourth issue, there is no plug for the hairdryer inside the bathroom where the mirror is. You can plug it outside but not in any spot close to a mirror. Having said that, the staff are excellent. From the bell boys to the front desk, they were all friendly and helpful. Yaroslav sent a technician twice to check and fix the aircon. We didn’t sleep well the first couple of nights because of this and he offered to change our room for the 3rd night and also breakfast on the house. After the technician came the second time, the aircon finally started working. Still not cold as we are used to, but better. The amenities in the bathroom are nice, and if it was winter time, the heated flooring would’ve been lovely. I recommend this hotel to everyone, maybe just get a different room to the one we stayed in (107).

Had a wonderful stay here when we came for Wimbledon. The train was right across the street and was a direct train to the Wimbledon park.
