The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences

From our first steps toward the hotel door, we were welcomed by all. Always friendly and engaging, genuinely concerned about our experience at the hotel and in London! There are so many wonderful staff but unfortunately, I am terrible remembering the names of all those special people. Do remember Olivier in dining and appreciated his morning chit chat and help with lunch … Daniel at the door… there are so many, many more. We have stayed here multiple times and the staff is the reason we return! Thank you all!!!!

A wonderful 5 day stay. The staff were courteous and very helpful. They greeted me by name every day. The hotel sent up to my room a complimentary welcome treat shortly after arrival to welcome me. The accommodations were excellent. Rooms are large and well appointed. All updated and very clean. All drinks & snacks in the minibar and fridge are complimentary, restocked every day! Breakfasts included in the rate were wonderful. You can order off the menu and also enjoy the continental breakfast items. There was even a complimentary happy hour from 6-7pm! All amenities and service were top notch. I’d like to recognize front desk staff Zach for his help checking in and throughout my stay. Also to doorman Daniel who was very pleasant every time I entered and exited. He was also helpful with directions and recommendations. The location is terrific, centrally located. Easy walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Hyde Park, Knightsbridge, Piccadilly, Regent Street and Oxford Street. Both Green Park and Hyde Park Corner tube stops are close by. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to London. I highly recommend you do as well.

We stayed at The Athenaeum while attending a business dinner nearby, and had a lovely experience. The hotel is beautiful and elegant, and our room was spacious, comfortable and had a lovely view over the park. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was very good, with a great selection and excellent service. A special mention to Emmie, who was particularly helpful, friendly and attentive during breakfast. Overall, a wonderful stay in a great location with excellent service. I would definitely stay again! ❤️

I took mum for a spa and cream tea for her 89th birthday. The spa was lovely, clean and cosy. We loved it. Upstairs in the restaurant Emmie took great care of us with a warm welcome and looked after us so well. We had some delicious light bites followed by the yummy cream tea. Mum was then presented with a lovely little chocolate cake for her birthday and was made to feel very special. We took it home and it was absolutely delicious. Franchezca is a very talented pastry chef! Highly recommend! And we are already talking about going back.

Mush was a very personable service person who was very knowledgeable at her craft. Took the time to explain the menu and her reasons for recommending certain meals. This was my first visiting the UK and was pleased at the service received.
