The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences

The room was decorated with balloons and a lovely dessert plate as it was our anniversary. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast was amazing and felt completely full after. We also had afternoon tea which again was amazing though we didn’t get to eat all the lovely cakes. The staff were exceptional, they were all so friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay here again.

Great service, location and rooms. The best staff!

The Athenaeum lies in the very heart of London, at the doorstep of Mayfair and from the best locations. The façade, with vivid green walls and a lovely outside restaurant, is pleasant and cosy looking under the sunny days. I was given a wonderful room with view on the park. The hotel is a 5-star hotel, however for a fine eye, there are a few things that could have a slight improvement on the finishing. The rooms are generally small and I’m wondering how a couple with three to four bags can circulate in it during the stay. Amenities are lovely, there is a nice touch from the management with a welcome note. First time in years of travelling where the concierge calls to make sure I’m well set and if I need anything. Breakfast has a good choice, room is a bit squeezed, but this reflects in the whole areas of the hotel. The bar worth a note, with a modern touch, lots of green and a smiling staff. The rate was very good compared to neighbours. It is certainly and address to keep in mind.

If you are visiting London this is the place to stay. It is a great location and the rooms are very comfortable but it is the staff who make the Athenaeum absolutely standout. Thank you for making our second stay with you even better than the first. We look forward to coming again.
