On arrival at The Beaufort, guests are greeted at the front door and given their own door key to come and go as they please. This charming townhouse hotel in London's Knightsbridge district, mere steps away from Harrod's, exudes the calm and charm of an English country house at a fasionable London address. Contemporary and casually elegant, guest rooms offer state-of-the-art technology and cosseting touches that include mineral water, chocolates and biscuits.

The junior suite is lovely and spacious with comfortable beds and a good shower There is air conditioning and I would recommend to use as at night can be really warm. The scones are delicious and the staff is great You can ask for water at any point during your stay

While the property itself has certain positive aspects, our overall experience was unfortunately overshadowed by poor service and an unusually early check-out time. A check-out at 11:30am feels unnecessarily early — most comparable hotels operate with a standard noon check-out, which allows guests a more relaxed departure. What made the situation worse was the tone and attitude of the receptionist when we were required to hurry. Instead of a courteous or accommodating approach, the interaction felt abrupt and lacking in basic hospitality. Additionally, the lift is extremely small, and the door mechanism feels unsafe — almost like a hazard waiting to happen. This is something management should seriously review from both a comfort and safety perspective. Hospitality is not only about décor and location — it is fundamentally about service culture. A return to traditional British courtesy and professionalism at the front desk would significantly improve the guest experience. Unfortunately, this aspect left a negative impression on what could otherwise have been a pleasant stay.

Advertised as 4* , no more than 2* at best. First room was in the gods with no operational blinds! Given the pulley system was lying in the floor I doubt this was a surprise to the reception team. Second room was absolutely freezing! Heating on at 28 the bathroom was beyond freezing! Looks nice in the surface however it’s not! Shabby once you get beneath the surface.

Staff were nice, hotel fine, but small bed, no bar, and no area for breakfast which is continental only and served in your room. Nothing wrong with this, but not what we were expecting. OK for a quick overnight.

We stayed 5 days. Great experience. Room on the 5th floor. Nice balcony to have breakfast even in end of October. Yes stairs or lift are narrow but this typical of a London Kensington house. The room was of a sufficient size for two. I have seen worst in comparable hotel range. Great experience overall. Breakfast serving can be puzzling but I had comparable experience in Rome or Florence in such type of historical houses. Most and foremost, incredibly helpful and welcoming staff !!!

I couldn't have liked The Beaufort better and the location was wonderful! What a great home away from home.

The accommodations we received at The Beaufort in London were truly luxurious. How nice to find something that is true to its billing on the Internet. The house staff treated us so very well.

Regarding The Beaufort, we had no idea such a serene setting existed so close to the action! However, being only a couple of blocks from Harrod's and Harvey Nichols at the start of the January sales caused us to incur several unbudgeted expenses. That, combined with day after day of sunshine... in January... made for one stellar holiday.
