Again a short 1-night stay but also again very welcoming and comfortable. Great location with lovely views, wonderful staff and rooms. Breakfast great as well, where as some find a à la carte breakfast a must for hotels like this I disagree. The buffet in combination with à la carte options is always the best for any luxury hotel. Unfortunately there was no restaurant option for the Sunday night but a new restaurant is coming as I heard. All in all a safe 5 star choice, espacially if the location in the City is where you want to be. Untill next time !

This review is specifically of the Rotunda Afternoon Tea, not the guest rooms. Advertised as a modern take on the classic English afternoon tea, one is already rather worried that iconic staples such as finger sandwiches will be sacrificed. And you will not be disappointed, or maybe you will, if, like me, you find that much more has been lost than gained in this rather sensationalist approach. It's a Four Seasons, so faultless service should be the default; sadly, not. Arriving 20 minutes before the others in our afternoon party, we ordered wine. 20 minutes later, with the other guests arriving, the wine still hadn't. So I cancelled that. The selection of teas is perfect, with adequately-sized teapots. But whatever happened to serving ladies first? The afternoon tea consists of savouries and sweets. The presentation is excellent, although it's a pity that everything is brought at once, rather than paced, allowing for gradual discovery, and a less cluttered table. The savouries are varied and generally delicious. The olive skewers and confit potatoes are really excellent. The gougères are passable, but sadly the cabbage (?) mince pies are stodgy, of no interest, barely edible, and we abandoned them. A criminal insult to mince pies. The sweets are beautifully crafted, but so overly sweet that we found them impossible to really enjoy. I'm all for experimentation, but this experiment in afternoon tea should have been left in the kitchen. It then took 15 minutes of multiple requests to be able to pay, and it was only standing in our coats in frustration, that eventually got us out. I have been a regular guest at Four Seasons all over the world for 4 decades, but this was not up to Four Seasons standards: neither gastronomically, nor in terms of service.

I recently took some members of my team and our client here for a business lunch. The service was well below the standard of an average pub. The food is quite good, the building is very nice but the service is an embarrassment.

We do love a Four Seasons. We needed to be in the area for a couple of days and this was the obvious choice. We were not disappointed. Check in was warm and friendly , unfortunately due to other guests not controlling their children (they watched whilst it kicked and climbed on me), it put us a bit in a bad mood. However once away from the unruly, lobby beast. We found the hotel to be tranquil and calm. Everywhere we went was peaceful and it felt like an oasis in the city. Our room was well appointed and super comfortable. The mattress as always is delightful. Some nice treats and touches in the room. Dinner in the Asian restaurant was really tasty and service was amazing. Breakfast was good, i’m never a fan of a buffet (in fact if we are aware we normally don’t book) However they have items to order too and it was fine. We used the spa for a swim and it is a really good facility for London. However next time we stay in another Four Seasons feel free to throw a bathrobe in my luggage. A big fan

Where should I begin? The staff were very welcoming when I arrived. I was able to check into my room earlier than expected, which makes all the difference on a short stay. A very beautiful hotel; I was particularly impressed by the executive suite. The gym is very well equipped and the spa is one of the most beautiful in London. Thanks o the staff, who were very kind. Four Seasons hotels provide exceptional service that makes every stay different and unforgettable. If I return to London, I already know which hotel I will be staying at.
