Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel

My stay at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London started with a slightly rocky check-in, but to the hotel’s credit, everything was handled and resolved smoothly. This is a property I genuinely love and continue to return to. That said, there is a noticeable difference between room categories. The standard rooms, while comfortable, feel somewhat dated in their furnishings. However, once you step into an Executive Suite or above, it’s a completely different experience. The décor is far more refined and thoughtfully designed—it’s not about the extra space, but the elevated feel of the room itself that really makes the difference. The staff are consistently warm, professional, and welcoming—one of the hotel’s strongest assets. The Executive Lounge is a true highlight of the stay. I was especially pleased to see spirits reintroduced in the evening, as this was previously something that had drawn me to other properties. The food offering in the lounge is excellent—please don’t change a thing. A special mention to Joshua in the lounge—he is an absolute standout and a true asset to the hotel. His level of service goes above and beyond, and frankly, his talent could easily be leveraged in guest relations. Dining at JW Steakhouse was fantastic, and housekeeping maintained the room to a very high standard throughout the stay. This hotel is one of the nicest in London located in Mayfair area which is very high end neighborhood. You aren’t close to any tourist sites but it’s quiet and safe. The club level is perfect and you can eat every meal there but I wouldn’t. The Barkey Mow is a pub in walking distance and this place is a must visit for dinner. Rooms were great, staff was excellent, and the beds were perfect. Would come back anytime.

Two of us booked the Magic Faraway Tree afternoon tea to celebrate milestone birthdays. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were excellent. The cakes were Magic Faraway Tree themed & there was even a chocolate smoking tree, very cleverly done. There was a large selection of teas and several jams to have with the scones. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff were very attentive. Saiful went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves.

Francesco at the bar in the JW Marriott Grosvenor House is a true professional and a master of his craft. From the moment I sat down, his attention to detail, skill behind the bar, and genuine hospitality immediately stood out. Every cocktail was exceptional, prepared with precision and care. What really made the experience memorable was Francesco’s attitude and customer service. He has a natural ability to make guests feel welcome while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The conversations were engaging, the service was flawless, and his recommendations were spot on. Francesco represents the very best of hospitality. Experiences like this are what separate an average visit from a truly great one.

Stayed here with my family. We had two rooms that connected. It was a large suite connected to a standard room. Great layout and space. Highly recommend for a family setup. The restaurant and exec lounge were very nice and worked well. Food was good generally (we mostly had desserts and chips). Great location across from Hyde park and the local pub is fantastic. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is the bathroom needs a remodel. It’s quite dated.
