A truly unforgettable stay at Hotel Café Royal, London I was in Paris for Fashion Week and had always dreamed of visiting London, so I decided to extend my trip—and I’m so glad I chose Hotel Café Royal. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city. My room was beautiful, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful amenities. Breakfast and dinner at the stunning Red and Gold Room were truly exceptional — elegant atmosphere and delicious food. On my last evening, I stopped by the Green Room for drinks, where Dani from Argentina and Keyla from the Dominican Republic treated me with such warmth and kindness. Their service made my night even more special. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Café Royal for making my London trip so memorable. I enjoyed every moment, every detail, and I can’t wait to come back. Outstanding service all around — 5 stars! 🌟

My husband and I loved the hotel. It's beautiful and the staff was amazing. We were upgraded and our room was wonderful; my guess is that even if we were't upgraded it would have been lovely. The location is perfect- near Soho, Marylebone and St.James/ Green Park.

For reference, we do not often stay in luxury hotels, so I don't have a lot of experience with hotels of this caliber. Also, we booked this hotel on credit card points. That said, this was, by far, the nicest hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. Before arrival, I had emailed the front desk letting them know that it was my wife and mine's honeymoon, and asking if they had a laundry service (we were on the back half of the honeymoon and were hoping to do some laundry). The front desk emailed me back within a few hours with a response to that question, as well as asking what time we'd be arriving to ensure they were ready for us. I was impressed with the speed of their response and happy with the response itself! By the way, for future readers, they DO have a laundry service here, with current pricing ranging from ~8GBP to ~50GBP per garment. From the moment we walked in, we could tell this was going to be an experience different to anything we'd done before. The lobby is NICE! It smells great inside, and everything is immaculately clean. I never saw any lines form in the lobby, and the front desk people were always happy to help. At check-in, we were given 2 complimentary glasses of champagne (Veuve Clicquot), which was followed up by a tour of the property by the attendant that checked us in. We were awestruck by how nice even the elevators and hallway were at this hotel, and this was all before we even entered the room! On the topic of the room... The hotel upgraded us to the nicest hotel room I have ever set foot in. For context, I had booked a "Grand Deluxe" room - which was all we figured we would need since we are active travelers and like to be out of our room seeing sights and doing activities. Unbeknownst to me, and maybe due to a combination of both booking through Chase Travel (this is a "The Edit" hotel) and me having told them it was our honeymoon, we were upgraded to the "Regent Suite"! This means we went from a ~400sq. ft. single-bed room to a 969sq. ft. suite, complete with 2 bathrooms, a sitting area, an entry way, and a massive bedroom with a king-size bed that overlooked Piccadilly Circus and had a great view of Big Ben and the parliament building in the distance. Needless to say, our jaws dropped as we were being showed around the room. After entering, we found another complimentary BOTTLE of Veuve Clicquot on the table for us, as well as an assortment of fruit and some chocolate (this may have been due to booking through The Edit). We shared this bottle with some friends later that day. The primary bathroom in the room was the nicest I've ever seen at a hotel - it must clock in somewhere around 150 sq. ft.. It had 3 separate rooms - one with the toilet/bidet, one with the sink/hairdryer, and one with the shower/bathtub. It also had heated floors! The secondary bathroom was what I would call a normal hotel bathroom (albeit made of luxury materials) - it had a sink and a normal toilet. We actually weren't even aware this bathroom existed the first night of our stay, because it was somewhat hidden into a wall, and boy was it a surprise when we found it! Also included in the room (in the entryway for us) was a Nespresso machine that had complimentary pods, so you could brew your own espresso in the room, and any used pods would be refilled by housekeeping. There is a minibar in the room, but we didn't end up using any of its amenities since many of the bottles were pricy. The beer and water in the minibar, comparatively, were not too expensive, about on par with a nicer restaurant in London. In each room, there is a tablet next to the entry way that allows you to control the lights in that room, and to turn on/off all of the lights in the suite, as well as turn on/off "do not disturb". In the sitting area and bedroom, you are also able to control the curtains. The bed in the bedroom was quite comfortable and was huge. We were given a bottle of sleep spray for our pillows. There was a large TV in both the bedroom and sitting area. If I had to find ONE con in the room, it was that the TV selection wasn't anything special, and that the interface you use to control it felt dated and not nearly as luxury as the rest of the hotel - but I understand this is pretty common at every hotel, so I will not remove a star for something this unimportant. We did not use the spa as part of our trip, but we went and checked it out, and it looked very nice. We may have missed out on going for a swim while we were there. All-in-all, this was a magical trip that my wife and I will never forget - it rounded off an incredible honeymoon and I was extremely pleased with the service and amenities at this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for couples on a honeymoon or anyone that wants a nicer hotel experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cafe Royal. The room was beautifully appointed. The central location was extremely convenient. We had afternoon tea in at the Cafe Royal Grill, which was delicious and possibly my favorite out of all of the places that I have tried in London. They even had a vegan option, which i was grateful for. What really made the stay, though, was the exceptional service. John, the late night concierge was extremely helpful. Two nights in a row, he assisted us in finding a place to eat late at night after attending the theater. We were there during the Tube strikes, so it was difficult to get a taxi. Therefore, on one of those nights, John even offered to have a staff member of the hotel walk us to the restaurant, and it was not just down the block. It was a 15-minute walk away! Thank you, John, and the rest of the staff for making our stay a memorable one. We look forward to staying at Hotel Cafe Royal again in the future when we return to London.

Wow! Wow! Wow! There’s so much to say about hotel cafe royal! London was the final leg of our 2 week trip, and I booked Hotel Cafe Royal for 3 nights. We just happened to be celebrating our anniversary, so you know I had to make it special. I called the hotel and spoke with Marcella. I let her know it was our 15th anniversary. I asked if she could have flowers and a bottle of champagne put in the room. She politely let me know she would speak with guest relations, and they would be able to fulfill this request. I called back the following day to confirm and Marcella remembered me and our anniversary (it’s the little things!). We arrived at the hotel at around 9:30p. We were greeted by Michelle at the front desk with a big smile and enthusiasm! She was so friendly. Michelle poured us each a glass of champagne as we checked in. She gave us the run down of the property. Andre took our bags to our room. Michelle gave us a tour of the property and then took us to our room. That is when my jaw dropped. They upgraded us to a suite. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. We had a living space in the entry way. A long hallway and a large bathroom decked out in huge marble subway tiles. The room was beautiful .The hotel staff wrote some really sweet words for our anniversary on the entry mirror. There were two beautiful flower arrangements and rose petals placed in the living area and bathroom. Next thing you know a knock on the door came and we were delivered a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolates. They really went above and beyond and set our anniversary out on the perfect note. I had made a bunch of reservations, but Michelle let us know that the concierge could take care of any of our needs. I booked with Amex so our breakfast was complimentary. The food was really good. Try the full English breakfast, but read up on black pudding first lol. Brianna was awesome as our server both days. The manager, Gaudi, offered to open early before our flight to serve us breakfast. She was so sweet! The service here was unmatched and it was genuine. The staff were genuinely friendly and concerned about your comfort. We ran into David our last full day. He was the doorman. He booked us a car to the airport at 7am the following day. Sure enough the car was there right on time. Big shout out to Michelle! She was so kind to us and set our trip off on the right foot. Every evening we’d come in she’d greet us with a smile, remember our plans for the evening and ask how things were. Thanks for the top tier service! We will be back next year! Oh and the hotel is awesome too! Great decor, rooms, restaurants and an amazing spa! You can’t go wrong booking here on your trip to London. It’s right in the mix of everything in soho. If you like to shop and want to see the sights this is your happy place! Once again the service takes it over the top! … and I’m hard to please lol
