As per the other reviews - absolutely great in every way. Now our chosen hotel for London stays! All the staff were wonderful especially Shravya who was most concerned when I said that I had twisted my ankle in an earlier stroll on Regent Street. The concierge team were great but so was Ben in reservations! Do not hesitate in booking a stay here - you will not be disappointed!

Stayed for 3 nights at the Café Royal and was thoroughly impressed. The attention to detail and service were exceptional from start to finish. We were upgraded at check-in to a Grand Junior Suite with a balcony overlooking Piccadilly Circus — a rare and memorable view. I had booked through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, and all the perks were honored: complimentary breakfast, room upgrade (when available), and a 4 PM late checkout, which was especially helpful with a late flight. Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better if you’re planning to spend time around Regent Street, Mayfair, or SoHo. Everything is walkable, and shopping and dining options are plentiful. The only thing to note is the crowds around the hotel. Being right on Piccadilly Circus, it can be hectic at times. But once you step inside the hotel, it truly feels like a calm sanctuary — elegant, peaceful, and beautifully appointed

We came to Café Royal to celebrate our son’s 18th birthday and once again we’ve had a truly lovely stay. From the moment we arrived, the whole team went out of their way to make us feel welcome — as they always do. A big thank you to Ariu, Hemali and Johan in Guest Relations who were amazing. They helped us plan everything beforehand — our son Danny is autistic and a huge Disney fan, there were Disney decorations in the room, a birthday cake, and we were even kindly upgraded which was such a thoughtful touch. Danny was over the moon, he thoroughly enjoyed the views over Regent St and Piccadilly Circus! The hotel itself is always spotless and so well maintained. Attention to detail here is second to none. We’ve stayed at a number of five-star hotels in London over the years, but Café Royal really does stand out. The service is consistent, warm, and personal — and you genuinely feel like a VIP from the moment you’re greeted outside to the moment you leave. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Thank you all so much!

The hotel is very nice. Our room was comfortable and clean. The location is convenient. The breakfast was awful almost not edible with not fresh scrambled cold eggs and cold toast and mostly inattentive staff and waiters who did not know what a cafe o lait is. I would consider staying here again because the accommodations are so nice but the breakfast gives me pause.
