Reviews for London Marriott Hotel Park Lane

Good physical plant, sadly deficient service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 hours ago

I stayed here 5 nights as one of a group of Viking cruisers on the London Churchill post-cruise extension. Viking chooses these pre- and post-cruise hotels with meticulous care, and the advantages of this hotel are clear: large well-furnished rooms and excellent location near bus and Tube stops. Heavily offsetting these virtues, the hotel faltered in these respects (which I have alerted Viking to): No hot water in either sink or shower -- all my showers were cold. The hotel advertises that London newspapers are available for free, and that is technically true. I first saw the newspapers through the glass panes of the door to the Executive Lounge, but could not get in: The concierge very brusquely told me that as a member of a group reservation (the post-cruise tour), I'm ineligible to go into such an exalted place. Then I found the same newspapers in the restaurant/bar, but I could read them only at the expense of being repeatedly pestered to buy an alcoholic drink. I finally had to tell a very pushy server "My doctor has forbidden alcohol." The breakfast serving area there is cramped.

Family visit

We are platinum status holders with Marriott. Gave us first floor room, mattresses paper thin, unaccommodating knowing we had children, Why have a platinum level, because it doesn’t mean anything. Would not recommend this so-called boutique hotel

Very happy & positive

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I visited London from Azerbaijan at the beginning of June 26, and our business training was held in Marriott, and as a review, I can leave good feedbacks to the staff both in the lobby and in the restaurant, thank you for your care and work....

Service feedback

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I had training with my colleague at this hotel, and the staff’s approach was very professional. The service was excellent. The lunches we had were delicious and very tasty. The waiters were polite, helpful, and responded quickly to all requests. A special thanks to Vivian, who provided excellent service and was especially attentive and professional. Thanks to everyone for maintaining such a high standard of service.

Amazing Afternoon Tea

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

My friend and I enjoyed an amazing afternoon tea in The Lanes. A delicious selection of savoury bites and the sweet selection all beautifully decorated and presented in a birdcage cake stand. We also tried a different teas which were all recommended by our attentive and welcoming server called Ali, who really looked after us. Other staff were very friendly on our arrival. Hope to come back soon!
