ME London was quite an interesting property. While it's marketed as a luxury 5 star, I wholeheartedly feel like this is not accurate. It's not to say that it was a bad experience, but I definitely think you must temper your expectations as it's really just a 4 star. I had reached out to management before arrival, but was not responded to or acknowledged. Upon check-in, we didn't get any upgrade (included with our Amex THC booking), which was surprising since it was mid-week, but that's alright. From there onwards, it just felt like the staff did not really look out to make sure we were having the luxury experience they market as. Then we had some weird issues with the stay. First was using the $100 property credit which we were told at checkin could be used anywhere on site. I just wanted to get two drinks from the lobby bar to take up while we were getting ready, but the staff member said that he could not charge it to the room as "their system isn't set up for that." It is beyond me how the LOBBY bar of a hotel isn't set up with the room credit / payment system? Note this was after the drinks were already poured. Of course that doesn't make any sense, and after some conversation, he begrudgingly agreed to charge it to the room, which made me realize it was in fact possible this whole time - he just didn't want to put in the effort and would've rather closed out the tab then and there. It was this kind of vibe that sets apart luxury properties from generic ones, and this reinforced my notion that ME staff isn't trained for that kind of hospitality. Anyway, the breakfast included was quite nice. The gym was alright, with just two treadmills, some weights, a bike machine, and an elliptical which was not very smooth. You certainly can't beat the location though. The rooftop bar had amazing views during the day. All in all, I would recommend - but definitely don't expect a 5 star property or service!

Shocking. From the way I was treated at checking in to the attitude of management over the booking process- cold and uncaring. Dirty linen on beds, bathrooms also dirty

This was our second time staying at the hotel. Upon check-in I was asked if we had stayed before, which I confirmed we had. The process was swift and we were informed of our room number, but we weren’t reminded of the breakfast timings or where it was being served . On our last visit, breakfast was on the rooftop, so we assumed this would be the case again. We spent 10 minutes the following morning trying to navigate the lift to the 10th floor, only to be told breakfast was actually being served in the main restaurant. tables are crammed together so dont expect an intermit breakfast as you are basically sat next to other guests. Previously, you could also help yourself to continental options before your hot food arrived, but this has now changed. We paid extra for a terrace room with river views The room we were allocated was this but an accessibility room. . Unfortunately, the bathroom had an unpleasant smell to it and the walk-in shower was fitted with a flimsy plastic shower screen, which didn’t feel in keeping with a 5* hotel. at over £600 a night I expected more from my room. We also ordered two cheeseburgers from in-room dining, which unfortunately arrived cold and undercooked. Images were shown at check-out and the charge was removed from our bill, but I wasn’t asked if the rest of my stay was satisfactory. Another issue was the noise from the Radio Rooftop Bar, which played extremely loud music until well past midnight, making it very difficult to relax. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. The location is the only positive I can highlight, but everything else fell short. This visit felt much more like a Premier Inn experience than the 5* luxury standard I had expected based on our first stay.

A beautiful hotel with excellent service. The restaurant was also wonderful. ME London is in an excellent location in this large city.

I came to the hotel with my Girlfriend and left with my Fiancée 🎉 the hotel team were amazing I let them know in advance that I was thinking of proposing and they made lots of suggestions in how to make it special. They then supported me with decorating the room whilst we were at the theatre so we came back to a beautiful setting for me to ask my beautiful girlfriend to marry me. Thank you team Melia Me
