The Montague on the Gardens

There is a hidden gem in London - the Montague on the Gardens hotel, within walking distance of the world renowned British museum. My daughter and I recently spent a magical night at this beautiful, charming hotel. We enjoyed delicious appetizers and wine in the exotic Leopard Bar while listening to a jazz saxophonist. Dinner at the Blue Door Bistro was absolutely scrumptious, served on three-tiered plate stands, in an elegant sunroom overlooking a lush courtyard. All of the plentiful staff were exceptional, from concierge to food servers, seeing to our every need. While we did emerge to visit the many nearby cultural sights, we were completely happy being cosseted at the Montague on the Gardens!. We cannot wait to return!

We stayed here for three nights as part of our honeymoon in June 2026 and it was very nice. The staff was very attentive, has a great location, and it was a nice place to start our honeymoon. The concierge helped us rebook a tour that the original tour had cancelled.

We had an amazing stay at the Montague. The entire staff was so welcoming and catered to our every need! Our stay was full of personal touches like a plate of treats delivered to our room for our anniversary, a hand written note thanking us for our stay with a box of chocolates. On top of all this the hotel is beautiful! Just what you would think of a classic English hotel! We will be back!

Our stay at The Montague on the Gardens was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. The hotel itself is elegant, comfortable, and beautifully located, but what truly sets it apart is the service. The front desk team, restaurant staff, and room attendants were all warm, gracious, and attentive. We were assisted several times with personal requests, including help arranging transportation and support retrieving lost items, and every interaction was calm, thoughtful, and impeccable. Comfort clearly matters here. Our room was wonderfully comfortable, and throughout our stay we felt that our well-being was the hotel’s top priority. The Montague felt less like a hotel and more like our London home. We would return without hesitation and recommend it enthusiastically.

From the moment we arrived, the Beach Bar exceeded every expectation. As the event organiser, I couldn’t have asked for a smoother, more professional experience. The organisation was flawless — clear communication before the event, efficient setup on the day, and seamless coordination throughout. Every detail was anticipated and executed with care. The summer drinks themselves were a triumph. The menu offered refreshing, creative cocktails and mocktails that perfectly matched the beachside vibe — bright, balanced flavors and beautiful presentation. Every request we made was met promptly and exactly as asked, showing genuine attention to detail. What truly set the event apart was the staff. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm, they made our guests feel welcome and looked after from start to finish. Service was timely without ever feeling intrusive, and their professionalism made the whole evening run effortlessly. This was, without question, the best event I’ve organised. The Beach Bar turned a great idea into an exceptional reality. Highly recommended for anyone planning a summer gathering — you’ll be in excellent hands.
