Montague Madness

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We have stayed at The Montague at least a half a dozen times. Why.? The entire staff makes you feel welcomed. They care about your visit. Plus, there’s music in the Lounge which is great after a long day sightseeing. It’s in a quieter part of London with easy access to Convent Garden , Soho etc via the Tube. Standards rooms are small. Floris soap..love..windows open if you have a garden sidevroom.👍 Note to Montague: bring back the leather cocktail coasters!! Sell them!! I mean , who would pocket them..tee hee The paper things are not worthy of The Leopard Lounge.TACKY

Gem of a Hotel

I can only reiterate what so many others have stated. Wonderful staff, from Abby at the front door, to James at reception, to Mustafa and the concierge team help us plan our visit from before we arrived through our stay. Such a welcoming, inviting place. Fantastic location. So enjoyed our HIGH TEA. One of the best meals we had in London. And appreciated the living room off the lobby to relax, have a cup a tea, meet a friend. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a first class hotel. The staff at this hotel is amazing. I have never experienced anything like my stay at this hotel. The rooms were immaculate, the staff was unbelievable, and the overall atmosphere was most welcoming. The food in the on site restaurants was excellent and the staff was always cheerful and extremely helpful. It was just exceptional in every way.

Family Far from Home

The care and attention we received during our stay at The Montague on the Gardens were superior to any other hotel stay we have had. The bedroom was large, comfortable and beautifully appointed with all necessities and extra comforts. The patience and willingness of the reception staff to help find and download walking directions to each of our destinations (necessitated by a tube strike beginning the day of our arrival and ending the day of our departure!) surpassed even that of my grandchildren! Housekeeping was both friendly and highly attuned to our desires in our room. Food and beverages in the bar and restaurant were of top quality and delivered with the epitome of friendly, professional service. Every interaction with hotel personnel was a delight which made us feel like family.

The Gem of Bloomsbury

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I absolutely loved my stay at The Montague on the Gardens! I can say with certainty that I have found my home in London. I had previously stayed at another Red Carnation property, The Chesterfield Mayfair, and found the high standards of that hotel mirrored here perfectly. Situated across from the British Museum, this is a gem for museum and art lovers such as myself. Close proximity to the Russel Square station also makes for easy access to all corners of central London. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the attentive staff. They handled my luggage for me so that it was ready and waiting for me in my room. My room itself, a single, was sumptuously furnished and featured a large bed and roomy footprint. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The air conditioner was powerful and kept me nice and cool throughout the night. Breakfast was hearty and varied, with both a continental and full English selection of classics, as well as fresh toast, porridge, and eggs on demand. The common areas are elegantly and cozily furnished with fun splashes of color and patterns. I would have spent more time here if I wasn't so busy running around London! Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again. Between the price, location, service, and luxury factor, The Montague is a no-brainer when it comes to a London Trip!
