The Montague on the Gardens

We stayed 3 nights in March 2026 and had a great experience. Charming hotel in central London with excellent service and a standout breakfast. Convenient location, walkable to eateries and near bus options. We would definitely stay again.

The Montegue on the Gardens was a charming hotel nestled on a quiet street across from the British Museum. We chose the location specifically because it was a quick walk to the museum entrance. The hotel lobby is decorated beautifully and very comfortable. We had a standard room facing the street. It was equally pretty and clean and surprisingly not much noise from the street. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good as well and there were plenty of options off the buffet. Most impressive was the hotel staff. Their smiles and attention to detail were exceptional. It made our stay that much better.

This is a lovely, comfortable hotel with a very attentive staff who are eager to provide any assistance requested. The location is a few steps away from the British Museum in a very nice area of London. I would stay here again and I will recommend it to others. It is an older building but it is extremely well maintained and guests are made extremely comfortable by the staff's attentiveness to any need.

We recently stayed at the Montague, what a lovely hotel. Great location for Euston station, the British Museum and Oxford Street. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The Montague is a real gem we will definitely stay there again.
