We stayed at the Aethos Hotel and would probably not be in a hurry to return, given how many other hotels are in London. The room was very small (even for London standards) but supposedly upgraded, so I would hate to see what a standard room looks like. It faced a construction site full of scaffolding, and light coming into the room was minimal. Our shower drain was clogged, leading to water that came up past our ankles whenever we showered. We brought this to the attention of the front desk staff and asked that it be fixed, but it never was. The nighttime staff was rather unhelpful when we asked to buy a pre-bottled juice in a display case around 11pm; it was overly complicated and took an incredibly long amount of for something that was literally on display. And amenities were a bit lacking and inconsistent. The gym was super small, and some dog amenities mentioned at check-in never arrived. All in all, the design is nice. The location is interesting (although a bit far from a well-connected train line), and the majority of the daytime staff we interacted with were very kind. But no one likes showering with water up past their ankles, and the value for the money was just a bit lacking in a city with so many hotel options.

A beautiful hotel, with quiet luxury vibes and wonderful staff! The location was great too. Great value for money in an over-priced market. I will definitely stay there again.

We had the most wonderful experience from start to finish. Erel and Chris were exceptional. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel so comfortable and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for our stay and special occasion. It was my partners birthday stay. The hospitality was outstanding, the atmosphere was beautiful, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. It was an absolute pleasure to be hosted by them, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future. Highly recommend — thank you again, Erel and Chris, for such a memorable experience!

The hotel is situated in an idyllic spot and our room had incredible views of the city skyline. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and made our stay extra special after learning we were celebrating an anniversary - our complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious. A great, modern, sophisticated hotel in the heart of Shoreditch. Would highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we received a really warm welcome. The concierge took us to our room and upon discovering it was my wife’s birthday, when we returned to the hotel later in the day they had left a lovely note wishing her a happy birthday with a bottle of Prosecco on ice. Such a nice little touch. The beds where really comfortable, and the shower facilities where great too. We would 100% return on our next trip to London
