Park Hyatt London River Thames

Park Hyatt London River Thames was our final hotel of the trip and honestly the perfect way to end it. This was our first Park Hyatt stay and it definitely won't be our last. We originally booked a standard room using points, but after realizing the occupancy rules wouldn't accommodate my wife and two kids, I contacted the hotel before arrival. After emailing with several staff members, they gave us a very reasonable option to upgrade to a King Deluxe Room, which worked perfectly for our family. ROOM: 10/10 The King Deluxe Room was incredible and much larger than I expected. Separate bedroom, living room with couch and coffee table, lots of closet/storage space and a huge bathroom with tub, double vanity and separate shower. The ceilings were very high and we also had nice views toward the river. The bed was extremely comfortable and one small thing I really appreciated was being able to control all of the room lighting from the bedside. We had one issue with the blackout shade getting stuck and not coming down. We noticed it before leaving for the day, reported it, and by the time we came back it was already fixed. Exactly how a luxury hotel should handle something like that. SERVICE: 10/10 Khalil checked us in and was amazing throughout our stay. He personally walked us to the room, showed us how everything worked and explained the hotel amenities. He continued checking on us throughout our stay and was incredibly helpful. The entire staff was attentive without being overbearing. Each evening they checked whether we needed additional towels, water or anything else before bedtime. I even called asking for help finding diapers nearby and they located a store for me. FAMILY FRIENDLY: 10/10 This was probably the biggest surprise. The hotel feels very luxurious and peaceful, but they were amazing with our kids. My son received his own frog room key and a stamp book where he could collect stamps around the hotel. After completing it, they gave him a few small toys as a prize. He loved it and I thought it was such a thoughtful idea. Staff throughout the hotel constantly greeted our kids and made them feel welcome instead of making us feel like we were bringing children into an adult luxury hotel. BREAKFAST: 10/10 Breakfast was incredible. It wasn't originally included with our stay, but the staff helped us arrange breakfast for both mornings and we were extremely grateful. You can order several freshly prepared dishes from the menu, plus there's a buffet with fruit, smoked salmon, cheeses, croissants, yogurt, bagels and more. We tried the pancakes, omelets, eggs, bacon and chicken sausage and everything was cooked perfectly. Coffee was also excellent. POOL & SPA: 10/10 Beautiful, relaxing pool and spa area. The changing rooms almost feel like a spa on their own and include a sauna. Each lounge chair already had towels and bottled water waiting. Additional towels and water were stocked inside if needed. The pool temperature was perfect, not too warm or too cold, and I also appreciated that the flooring around the pool wasn't slippery. The atmosphere is definitely quiet and spa-like, so I understand why they may eventually introduce designated kids swim hours. Our son absolutely loved the pool. ATMOSPHERE: 10/10 Modern, new and luxurious without feeling cold. The floor-to-ceiling windows when you enter are beautiful and the entire hotel feels open and calm. The bar was also great for a snack, lunch or drink. We tried several signature cocktails and really enjoyed them. CLEANLINESS: 10/10 The entire hotel looked, felt and even smelled extremely clean and fresh. NOISE LEVEL: 10/10 One of the quietest hotels of our trip. Very peaceful and relaxing, and we never had any issues with hallway or neighboring room noise. VALUE: 9.5/10 We used Hyatt points for our original booking and paid a reasonable amount to upgrade to the King Deluxe Room. Considering the room size, level of service, amenities and overall experience, I thought the value was excellent for a luxury London hotel. SERVICE RECOVERY: 10/10 The blackout shade issue was handled perfectly. We mentioned it before leaving for the day and it was completely fixed when we returned without any hassle. LOCATION: 8/10 This is probably the biggest thing future guests should know. The hotel isn't centrally located near London's main tourist sights, so don't expect to walk outside and immediately be near Big Ben, Buckingham Palace or the main tourist areas. The hotel is basically right along the River Thames in what felt like a newer business/development area. You'll need to walk to a bus stop or train station to get around, and there isn't a ton immediately outside the hotel. The big plus is the Uber Boat/river taxi pickup nearby, which gives you another fun way to get around London. Battersea Power Station is also close and was a great area for our family with really good stores, restaurants and an area for the kids to play. We knew we would be using transportation anyway, so the location wasn't a dealbreaker at all. Just something I'd want to know before booking if sightseeing convenience is your #1 priority. OVERALL: 10/10 I used to have Hyatt Globalist status but no longer do, and honestly the team still treated us like we were Globalists. Every staff member was helpful, attentive and welcoming. My wife and I were both extremely impressed. Beautiful hotel, incredible room, amazing service and somehow still genuinely welcoming to families with young children. We will absolutely stay here again.

For a hotel that is so far away from all main points of interest, when booking the Park Hyatt London I was hoping for excellent service. I also figured that since it’s a new hotel rooms would be fresh. The rooms didn’t disappoint, except for the hard bed everything was great. The service however was a hit and miss. Specifically the concierge - useless. The Guest Relations Team Leader was also disappointing - had a charge on my room that we didn’t incur and had to send multiple correspondances for her to fix it - don’t expect the extra effort here. Overall, there are probably better and more central hotels you can book for the same price.

Park Hyatt London continues to be my #1 choice in London. They excel at service, atmosphere, rooms and value. Feels like home!

Had a great three-night stay at the Park Hyatt during the recent heatwave. Beautiful property. Service was impeccable start to finish. This hotel is an extremely well-run operation. Very nice breakfast spread and I can also recommend the two on-site restaurants for lunch and dinner. I also checked out the spa and got the best massage of my life. Room service great as well. Housekeeping, laundry, bell staff - everyone was great. Location off the beaten path but I love this hotel and will be back. Helpful hint - the Uber boats are great way to reach central London quickly and there's a stop right by the hotel.

Location is convenient on the tube. It is about 10-30 min tube ride anywhere. Not a lot of food options outside the hotel. Dining options in the restaurant aren’t great.
