Park Plaza London Riverbank

Aradom was such a great help to. We really appreciate his service and because of his excellent service we will visit Park Plaza Hotel Riverbank again

The staff were absolutely lovely and facilities good; we were easily able to make the most of our time there. However, there are a couple of downsides. Rooms are very dated with limited plug sockets, including no usb plugs which I’ve found as standard is most hotels. The tv didn’t have standard live channels nor access to something like Netflix (again, something I have found as standard in even budget hotels). We had no shampoo, conditioner or body wash in the containers in the room, there was also very clear wear and tear. Our booking allowed us to use the exec lounge, which has stunning views, but I was told I was unable to have breakfast there as there was very limited room. I could see several empty tables, but they just hadn’t been cleared. Overall an ok stay, but it really could do with modernising the rooms and facilities.

We loved taking our kids to the kids area downstairs. It was a nice way to keep them active in our down time. Isabela was very sweet and kept our kids engaged with activities. It’s spacious and a little bit of everything for everyone!

Warning: do not stay here! We had a horrible experience all around. The room was dirty, the shower leaked, we ran out of toilet paper (no toilet paper back up anywhere in the room), they never replenished the towels. But this was truly the icing on the cake. My daughter was drying her hair with the hotel hair dryer, and it got so hot that it burnt a big clump of her hair off!! She was traumatized and hysterical. I immediately took the hair dryer down to the front desk to make sure they took it out of use. They referred me to security who seemed much more concerned that I didn’t escalate the matter than they did about my daughter, or the hair dryer itself. We left the next day, and after weeks of following up over email, I received a notification that a thorough examination had been conducted and all hair dryers were in working order. I was appalled, mostly because I feared this would happen to someone else! They offered me a discount on my next stay but when I told them I did not plan to return, and could they offer anything else, they never responded! Truly awful.

Such a fab place for kids! Unexpectedly they have an entire room for kids play at all different ages, with extremely helpful staff (Isabella) who are lovely with children and showed them round all the toys. We will definitely be back :)
