Raffles London is located in what was the Old War Office building, known today as The OWO. It was once home to legends such as Sir Winston Churchill. Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond, was a regular visitor to the building. Located in the heart of Whitehall, the building has been meticulously restored and is now home to Raffles London at The OWO. At Raffles London at The OWO, you step into rooms where the history of the 20th century was made, exquisitely modernized for 21st-century tastes. Today our 120 spacious rooms and suites offer an experience of refined contemporary elegance and beauty, uniquely enhanced by their historical features and the remarkable essence of place.

Our visit was exceptional in beautiful tranquil surroundings. We were met by name at reception and shown personally to our table. The member of staff was very polite and professional. He explained all the teas available and their respective notes and the history behind the varied delicacies. The tea was well presented and looked a delight. One of the best we have ever had! The Hotel itself is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. We found the history of the building fascinating and our server was very impressive with his historic knowledge and anecdotes. We would recommend visiting and spending a few hours in a location steeped in history and intrigue.

Wow, Raffles…just wonderful! They even gave my son a an old school polaroid camera to use for the day site-seeing…how thoughtful! The decor, sheets, the view…all was perfection in a hotel! Even when my son had room service one evening to rest up a bit from the jet-lag while the adults were out on the town, Raffles, brought my older teenage son an X-box to comfort him. We were all thrilled. Such fun here! Plus the history behind this monumental building where Churchill roamed the halls with purpose fills you with a sense of important history. Bravo on the endeavor and outcome!

Wonderful unusual High Tea served in the Drawing Room. Served in the Old War Office of Winston Churchills wartime Cabinet Room. Lovely sandwiches and catering to our dietary allergies. Delicious Pastries named after War Heroines. Beautifully presented. So well looked after by Eunice and Aldrich. Felicia took us all on a tour of the whole hotel after tea. Marina was do exceptional looking after out for our Uber ridehighly congested and some closed off due to London's Tube Strike.

Visited Raffles London at The OWO on Sunday 7th September for afternoon tea in The Drawing Room. The Secrets and Spies themed afternoon tea was wonderful. The service was excellent and the staff could not have been more attentive or welcoming. The sandwiches, scones and pastries were delicious especially the pocket watch styled sharing chocolate cake. The hotel itself is stunning and in a great location. I would highly recommend for afternoon tea.

We had the opportunity to visit The OWO - Heritage Tour and Afternoon tea. We went on the wait last as soon as Raffles hotel set up the tour. It took us over a year to find a date they had available and also we could make. We were so looking forward to our tour the afternoon tea was a bonus not something we normally would have. Emiel is the in house Heritage Ambassador,he was our guide. The OWO is full of history and Emiel really brought it all to life, in a fun interesting way. This really is the most magnificent building and we throughly enjoyed our tour! The Afternoon tea was a little disappointing following such an amazing start to the afternoon. We had to wait 20 plus minutes to be seated, the tables are very close together so you can hear your neighbours conversation easily. We solved that by chatting to our neighbours but not ideal if you wanted a private tea or may be on a date ! The tea service was quite elaborate we tried 3 different teas before we found one we liked. The sandwiches and cakes looked very enticing but did not taste as good as they looked. The scones were very good. The OWO Raffles has several beautiful restaurants we were able to walk by them on the tour, we felt the room the afternoon tea was in was very dark and overbearing. I would love to learn more about the history of the OWO but would rather have a lunch rather than afternoon tea.
