Wish we hadn’t stayed again

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We stayed here 3 years ago and absolutely loved it, unfortunately it seems to have gone down hill. Were told at check in if we wanted to book breakfast it would help them as they were busy but we didn’t have to. 30 mins later we went down to book and were told they were full up from 9-11 and could only have breakfast before 9am- a tad early on a Sunday morning. I would definitely advise phoning to book in advance as others were turned away despite it being included in room rate. Don’t bother emailing as I emailed a query 2 days before we stayed and didn’t get a reply. Staff a real mixed bag, guy on reception very cheerful, young girl just wanted to check her nails and one of the cleaners who we came across when one of the lifts were broken looked like she was about to launch herself out the window. We had to unblock our toilet and the tap leaked and made an awful noise. Definitely needs some work, both on the hotel standards and the staff attitude

Very pleasant stay near Paddington station

Had a lovely Valentine's day stay at Roseate House. Staff were very welcoming from the start, check in was easy and a pleasure. Hamish and Vishnu were very helpful in regards to making sure we had a great stay. Our room was clean with lots of amenities. We were very happy with it. Location ideal as it was a short walk from the nearest tube/train station. The included breakfast was of a high standard. Thoroughly recommended.

Wonderful, convenient and friendly place

This is my home away from home. The staff are so kind and helpful to me! I love the rooms, with the crewel embroidery on all the bed headboards and skirts . The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are fabulous, with lots of very hot water in deep tubs and high pressure showers. Great breakfasts and dinners, with real food, artistically prepared. The hotel is located in an extremely convenient position, less than two blocks walk from Paddington Station, that is reached 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow Express train. In the other direction Hyde Park is located only one block away---fabulous for walking off any sense of jet lag. But by far, the prize of the place is the friendly staff. I have been coming here for over 30 years and would never consider going anywhere else. Enjoy!

Luxurious Roseate House

.Very convenient for travel - my wife arrived from Paddington station by foot (5 mins) and I drove in and was able to park on their door step via yourparkingspace.co.uk. Being outside the congestion zone is a bonus too. We were meticulously looked after by the staff who are exceedingly attentive and polite. The food was delightful in the bar/restaurant, again with very attentive service, but do remember to book your table the night before as they can get full during the breakfast slot - we didn't sample dinner or afternoon tea, although I'm sure it's wonderful too. We had a superior double room via Secret Escapes, which was a little cramped but beautifully decorated. The aircon/heating was a bit difficult to fine tune - my wife doesn't like cool drafts which would periodically come from the vents even when the thermostat was set to max, and the floor in the bathroom was ice cold. Maybe the shower head could be updated? These small points aside, we left feeling thoroughly looked after, luxuriated, and nourished by the fine experience. Much appreciation to all the hard working and wonderful staff.

The staff was very helpful, the location was ideal - near a central tube stop and an easy walk to Hyde Park! Rooms were pretty and almost like visiting a friend's London apartment.

I purchased a package to The Royal Park Hotel in London. It was exactly as promised and more. The property was beautiful, quaint, and well decorated. The rooms were spacious, and the staff was exemplary. A fantastic trip!

The Royal Park Hotel in London was a fantastic hotel. The staff were attentive but discreet and the rooms luxurious and spacious. We had my son staying in the same room as ourselves, and the hotel accommodated children attentively.
