Spacious rooms, good shower and the bathroom is a great size. Lyaness bar is top tier. Staff is great and the location is amazing for sunny days in London.

We visited the spa. My first time & my daughter’s fourth. Wow! I have never experienced a massage & facial like this in my life. It was incredible & I can’t recommend it highly enough. I had the superb Amelia & my daughter has the equally brilliant Soraya & Ilaria. A truly fabulous experience.

Although the hotel looks good the food in their restaurant is absolutely SHAMEFUL. My daughter and I went in yesterday 2nd July 2025. We were surprised to see how complicated this Company has made their menu. For some reason the roasted cauliflower could only be ordered for two people, the same with the sea bass. My daughter order a hamburger, sides were extra as were the extras for my Atlantic cod at around (£25 a pop just for the cod) they only had chips and no other type of potatoes, the chips were mostly hard. I had chips, and I ordered a vegetable and twice asked for peas but got cabbage which was cut into squares and almost raw. I sent the cabbage back and asked for it to be cooked slightly softer as I do not like al dente vegetables and it came back as before almost raw so I told them to take it off the menu which they initially did not. My daughter ordered 2 glasses of chardonnay that came in very large glasses and less than a quarter filled. My cod was a small square floating in a small amount of salty liquid with masses of cherry tomatoes it was tasteless. The whole thing was diabolical and very very expensive. As said all sides were extra. My daughter gave the nice waiter a tip which another staff member who had not served us took. I would have given this restaurant no stars but no option to do that. This is one of the worst meals I have EVER had and like others after Covid have jumped on the band wagon and upped their prices just because they can. AVOID this awful restaurant at all costs !!!

Interesting hotel This is an interesting and different hotel. The design and contents are very nautical and thought provoking. The staff were friendly. The rooms were fine and quite spacious for London. The breakfast was good and the dinners were very good. The staff in the restaurant were friendly but it was a little chaotic and could have benefitted from more managerial presence (which was not visible). The weather was very good so the doors to the walkway were open and it created a pleasant holiday atmosphere. It was an ideal location for breakfast and dinner. The lighting is very dark in the reception and some guests almost bumped into each other! It is not near many shops but it has a very attractive location on the banks of the Thames and it is near the Tube and relatively well connected (one stop) to the Elizabeth Line. The walks around it are delightful. Management was not very visible during my three days. My only quibble was how a matter on check in/check out was handled. As a GHA titanium member, I am entitled (subject to availability) to a room upgrade - a very nice perk. When checking in, I was told the hotel was full and there was no upgrade. No problem at all, I said. (Good to see the hotel was full.) But the chap said that I would be offered free breakfast - I asked was that not already a perk, he wasn't sure but said that I had free breakfast. Very nice, I thought. So, I went for breakfast both mornings instead of eating out (more cheaply than most hotels). I ordered a light breakfast at the table on both mornings. On checkout, I saw two breakfasts charged on the bill I queried it. The lady went in behind to an office and returned to say that I would be charged as I hadn't chosen the "buffet" breakfast (where I would have probably ate more). I decided not to quibble - there were people behind me but I made an instant decision that I probably didn't need to return to this hotel. My grievance was as much that someone "in the office" let the young receptionist to deliver the bad news as much as being given a misleading message on check-in. If management have to deliver any customer, let alone someone who has reached titanium, let them deliver the message themselves rather than sending out someone junior. So do try the hotel. It's worth trying. It is interesting and worth staying once. But I'm not sure I'd return. Maybe.
