Shangri-La The Shard, London

Perfect from start to finish. Excellent staff, rooms, facilities, view, food, location. Recommend without hesitation.

Quite simply an incredible experience. The service was excellent throughout the stay, we stayed for my birthday and were met with a lovely message on the window and a cake. The room was spectacular, we had a dual aspect view overlooking Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf as well as a bath with a view. The bathroom was beautiful with plenty of Jo Loves toiletries. Breakfast was lovely in Ting, we had the buffet and some fresh eggs cooked to order. Drinks in the evening in Gong bar were fantastic, it was chilled and the service was on point. But the best thing about the stay, by a long distance, was the SkyPool experience. We were very lucky to have it to our selves for nearly an hour and had amazing weather so the views were incredible. Whilst the cost of the stay was nearly four figures in total, we thought it was easily worth the money for the experience and would happily go back again.

Great views of London, specially with a clear sky! Hotel still in good condition. Was good to be back. A little on the pricey side, but great nonetheless the less.

I searched for a place that was within walking distance to Tower Bridge and also could possibly have a view from our room. Shangri-La- The Shard did not disappoint! We were greeted immediately getting out of our cab (tip, if flying into Heathrow it’s worth either getting an Uber or arranging a pick up through the hotel. The black cabs charge a fortune) At check in we were upgraded from our city view room to an iconic view! From our room we could see all of London! It was gorgeous. Within 30 min we had a knock on our door and were given a welcome cake to enjoy. We were pretty tired from our long flight so opted to do in room dining. Hubs had the rib eye, cooked to perfection. I had the fish and chips, amazing. We were worried the food would come to us a little cold since it was room service. Nope! It was nice and hot. Turn down service was offered, we declined but she was very sweet and still gave us a couple pieces of chocolate. We called concierge and reserved a car for the morning to take us back to Heathrow. They made sure the car would accommodate our luggage and we had confirmation within an hour. When morning came, concierge called us 15 min before the car was to arrive to make sure we were up and if we needed any assistance. The entire staff was attentive and made sure our short stay was wonderful. If we are ever back in London, this is where we will stay again. Our next trip, I will check to see if there is a Shangri-La near.

Just come back from our weekend away at the most beautiful hotel for our 14th anniversary . From the moment you walk into the hotel your welcomed by every friendly worker in there , when getting off the lift your greeted even more everything running so smoothly.
