Sofitel London St James

The Hotel is ideally located in central London for shopping, theatre and site seeing. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in this Hotel and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. Our room, looking over a courtyard, was ideal for our needs. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We dined in the Wild Honey Bistrot one evening which was excellent. The most notable experience of our stay was the friendliness of all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable.

Well having been to this Hotel before we were excited to return. Great Check In and room lovely. Cocktail bar was empty and the cocktails very poor. The signature Negroni was served in a glass 95% taken up by ICE so No Proper Cocktail. Comfy bed, room very hot. Breakfast was the most disappointing, Luke warm cappuccino ( twice). Freshly squeezed orange tasted processed and the Full English was poor. How difficult is it to serve a hot breakfast on hot plates, my wife and I left more than we ate as it was cold by the time we were halfway through.

Wonderful! Was a surprise late 60th birthday present from my daughter who knows I love the musical Phantom. Amazing experience with Phantom instrumental overture. Great welcome, super service. Thanks a million, Sofitel St James :)

We usually stay at another property in central London but decided to expand our search because the property is very stuffy and we were traveling with our 5 and 2 year old boys. Ultimately decided on the Sofitel bc it advertised itself as kid friendly. We were very happy with the decision. The hotel is indeed kid friendly, but also much more than that. Pros: - Location: It's in central central London. You will be able to get everywhere you need to go. - Rooms: We were in the Superior room and it was huge even with the foldout couch expanded for our boys. The bathroom is a great size as well. Of course everything was clean and very well kept. Also, great decor that has/will age well. - Staff: From check in to check out, the Concierge, Denis at the bar, the Restaurant staff, cleaning crew, etc. everybody was great. - Bar: Denis is a great bartender and makes a mean cocktail. - Wild Honey: The entire staff is great, food is great, and they are very kid friendly. Cannot think of any cons. If you are looking for a great kid friendly luxury stay, or even a no kids luxury stay, this is a great option. We will be back.

Mikey in the bar, has gone above and beyond to provide excellent service to keep our 4 year old son happy and content while we enjoyed our evening drinks.
