Sofitel London St James

Perfectly located next to Picadilly Circus, the Sofitel St James has nicely decorated rooms. The rooms are quiet , very comfortable and very clean. No amenities are missing. The staff was wonderfull, warm and wellcoming. After a long day of sightseeing and shopping, coming back to the hotel truly feels like coming home!

My husband and I spent six nights in London and couldn't have chosen a better hotel. First of all, it's beautiful, luxurious, clean, and the staff is professional, courteous, and helpful. Our room was on the fifth floor and very quiet. The bathroom was amazing. Spacious, with both a bathtub and a separate stall shower. Lots of storage and creature comforts. Super comfortable bed. The breakfast each morning (included) was a real highlight of our day. We enjoyed so many different dishes adn everything was delcious. We could spend the day sightseeing and not even feel the need for lunch. The location was a real plus. We were able to walk EVERYWHERE or hop on the Tube nearby at Piccadilly Circus. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and theater. One of my favorite things was that there were large umbrellas sitting by the entrance that we could grab as needed. We also enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Sofitel St. James recently and honestly loved it. The room was always spotless – every time I came back it looked like no one had ever been there, which I really appreciate. Breakfast was probably my favourite part. There's a staff member called Mr. Anikat who just made every morning so pleasant. He remembered what we liked, was always friendly without being over the top, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure everyone was having a good time. That kind of service is hard to find. The rest of the team were great too – everyone was helpful and made us feel welcome from check-in to checkout. It's one of those hotels where you can tell the staff actually care, not just going through the motions. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in London. Highly recommended.

Went for a couple of nights so we could catch up with family and enjoy West End shopping and restaurants. Had been a regular here but travel habits changed and had not been for ages. Lovely to be back and relax knowing that all will be calm and competent. Bit of a refurb since my last visit but well executed, and all staff from front door to reception to bar to maintenance and housekeeping were excellent. High standards everywhere. We had a birthday during the trip and a couple of glasses of champagne appeared, followed by a small cake in our room with a personalised note. Our bathroom sink sprung a leak, which was really well handled by maintenance and reception. We will definitely be back in the near future, it’s great being in a hotel where you can truly enjoy the stay and that the staff genuinely care about your stay. Highly recommended.

A wonderfully warm and thoughtful Christmas experience Spending Christmas at Sofitel St James was a very special experience. We had no particular expectations in advance other than the confidence from previous visits that we would enjoy our stay. From the warm welcome at reception to the bright red bows on the bedroom doors, from mulled wine in the lobby and treats in our room to the surprise Christmas stocking hung outside our room door on Christmas morning, every festive effort was made to bring joy.
