Sofitel London St James

This was our second stay at Sofitel St James, this time for two nights to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary, and it was just as lovely as we remembered. We stayed in a luxury room which was very stylish and I really liked the green decor in the room. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel made our anniversary feel special from the moment we arrived. We were offered champagne at check-in, and when we got to our room there was a thoughtful card and a chocolate dessert waiting for us. Such a lovely touch. As before, every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, as it was on our previous visit, with plenty of choice and high-quality food. The location is great, perfect for seeing Buckingham Palace, theatres etc. During our stay we enjoyed afternoon tea at The Dorchester, which was only a short taxi ride away, and saw Les Misérables in the evening, just a short walk from the hotel. We also appreciated the information provided in the room on arrival. The hotel highlighted a recently installed Banksy artwork nearby and provided details of Trooping the Colour rehearsals taking place during our stay. We would never have known about either otherwise, so that was a really nice extra. Another wonderful stay and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

A perfect stay. Our first time in this hotel, a fantastic location away from the coffee cups and cigarette butts of Mayfair. Beautiful architecture and comfortable rooms. On top of all that the staff are excellent, they are very professional but manage to create a boutique hotel feel. Finally, an amazing breakfast that will set you up nicely for a day in London.

I had stayed at Sofitel London St James once before and had a very positive experience, so when my wife turned 50, I wanted her and our sons to experience the hotel as well. It turned out exactly as I had hoped—a wonderful experience for all of us. Everyone, from the housekeeping staff to the reception team, was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Add to that the beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, and an outstanding location, and you have a clear ten-out-of-ten hotel experience.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Sofitel London St James. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained throughout our stay. The location is absolutely amazing only a 2-minute walk to Piccadilly and extremely close to the metro station, making it perfect for exploring London. What truly made the experience special was the team. Everyone was genuinely warm, attentive, and very helpful at all times. The breakfast was both impressive and delicious, with a great variety and elegant presentation. A truly luxurious and memorable stay. Highly recommended when visiting London.

The Sofitel St. James has an amazing location, the facility is beautifully decorated and maintained, and the staff is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional.
