Sofitel London St James

We arrived early, our cases were stored for us. We had the most wonderful check in from Georgina, she was warm, friendly and extreemly efficient. We have a lovely suite,. room 409. Spacious, warm, with bold, vibrant colours as well as all the amenities you could wish for. Excellent service in the bar as well as at breakfast the next morning. If you are visiting London I would highly recommend a stay here. It is not cheap, but then nowhere is in London at the moment

We stayed for one night and had a great experience from start to finish. My husband is a platinum member and can benefit from early check-in from 1pm (subject to availability), so we arrived around this time. As our room wasn’t quite ready, we were offered complimentary drinks at the bar while we waited, which was a lovely touch. The service here is what truly sets this hotel apart. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely eager to help - nothing was ever too much trouble. The location was ideal for us as we were seeing ThePhantom of the Opera at the theatre which is only a two-minute walk around the corner. The hotel is also perfectly placed for exploring many other London landmarks. We also enjoyed the Phantom of the Opera Afternoon Tea in The Rose Lounge in the hotel. It was excellent, beautifully presented, and high quality, and the menu was easily adapted to suit vegetarian requirements. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and the bed was huge and very comfortable. While the décor wasn’t completely to my personal taste, the room itself was bright, well-kept, and very quiet. Check out is at 12pm, which would have been lovely to make the most of, but we had to leave earlier to return to reality! Before heading off, we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast. There were plenty of high-quality options, including a Continental buffet with pastries, cereals, breads, juices, teas, smoothies, and hot dishes cooked to order. Everything was delicious, fresh, and offered a great variety for all tastes. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return again soon. Highly recommended.

The graciousness, lovely rooms, helpful staff, and location of Sofitel St. James make it a perfect home when we are in London. We jog in the morning in St. James's Park, right across the street, and can walk to almost all museums, plays, opera and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable, well-appointed, with tea kettle and amenities, good beds, Diptyque toiletries. The lobby is accommodating, bar is welcoming, everything clean and beautiful.

I really appreciate that in your rooms you have an adequate desk and a table where it’s easy to plug in a hairdryer and get made up. Thank you for thinking about your female business clientele

Luxurious hotel set in the beating heart of central London. Within walking distance of Trafalgar Square, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, theatres and Covent Garden. Personable staff make guests feel special. They provide a great welcome and are always willing to help. Great room with high quality fixtures and fittings, enormous bed, wonderful shower and great freebies. Knowledgeable bar staff who create cocktails and suggest post-dinner drinks to suit your preferences, without being in the least bit pushy. The selection of wines and spirits is very good. The restaurant is very good and the tea room is very comfortable.
