Sofitel London St James

My wife and I spent sevel days at the Sofitel London St James and loved every minute of it. Yes, the rooms are expensive but we were treated like royalty. The hotel is located in a beautiful area with the National Meusum close by. Walk right in and enjoy free Van Gogh! Don't miss dining at the Wolseley, an amazing room ( a 100 year-old former car showroom) great food and thoughtful wine list. We had an issue posting a package due to a bank holiday and the staff stepped up and handled this for us. Just another example of the amazing care we were afforded. We would come back to the Sofitel London St James in a heartbeat.

We recently stayed at the Sofitel St James. We have been to London several times, but this was our first stay at this hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised. You cannot ask for a better location. Just steps away from many of the most famous landmarks of the city. It felt like everything was right at our doorsteps. The hotel exudes luxury. the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bed was super comfortable. But, what sets this place apart is the exceptional level of service. The front desk team greeted us warmly, and gave us a tour of the hotel when they noticed it was our first time staying there. We truly appreciated their attention to details. Unfortunately, their Michelin-starred restaurant, Wild Honey, was closed for the season, but we had a wonderful meal at their casual restaurant, Bistrot on the Terrace. Seating at their outside tables in the afternoon is a great way to have a cocktail or snack while enjoying people watching at its best. Finally, I was surprised at the rates. I thought they were very reasonable considering all the amenities, and size of the room in central London. Highly recommend.

I had a great time with my friends, unfortunately Vicky was not on shift but her colleagues ensured we had a wonderful experience at the Bistrot. Leander welcomed us and Hari, Susanne and Eduardo looked after us the whole time. Thank you also Juan, the Head Bartender for approaching us for a drink at the St James bar that was very nice!

Whether it's the staff, location, rooms, service ..Just about any aspect - this hotel surpasses all expectations. We lived here for a week and were so comfortable. The friendliness of the staff whether the concierge, front desk, service staff in the restaurants, room service or houe keeping...I haven't seen such consistent service levels in any other hotel. Its a home away from home. Will surely return. There can't be a better location in london. We chose the luxury rooms with a view.

First stay at Sofitel in London. It was truly a 10 out of 10 experience. In every aspect flawless! Staff very professional and pleasant. Entire hotel and room super clean and comfortable. Will return and stay again.
