Sofitel London St James

Venu pour feter mon anniversaire à Londres, quelle heureuse surprise que celle de se voir offrir 2 coupes de champagne au desk puis de recevoir un gateau d'anniversaire dans la chambre quelques heures après notre arrivée... du grand professionnalisme et un hôtel exceptionnel. Personnel attentionné, avenant et souriant. Felicitations à vos équipes et à l'hôtel.

The staff and service at Sofitel St James was exceptional. The bed was so comfortable slept like a baby. The room was gorgeous with everything needed for our stay. The team went above and beyond to make our stay special. Thank you so much. Cant wait to come back in June.

Spent six days here during Easter for an anniversary celebration. Had the hotel book an airport transport for us so we did not have to deal with luggage and finding a cab after a long overnight flight. Driver met us at arrivals and helped with luggage to awaiting car and whisked us off to central London. Costs about 195 pounds but worth the comfort and ease. Check in was easy but unfortunately we could not get an upgrade as is was over Easter weekend and the hotel was full. Received bonus points instead which are always good. Room was a luxury room with King bed. We received a nice corner room overlooking a quiet side street. Only bad thing is the room and the one next to us on the left and right go up about 5 steps so if you have mobility issues then these are not good for you. See map enclosed. Room was clean and had a large sofa for two. Washroom was a bit small but the room was pretty big. Only glitch was housekeeping was supposed to change the comforter to two ( Scandinavian sleep method). I had sent an email prior to coming in and requested again after checking in. Third request was when a staff came up to drop off pillows. He told me not possible as hotel to full and no extra duvets available!!!! I asked him to check and get back to me. He never did call back. Had to send a note to front desk the next day and they finally made the change after a fourth request. Rest of housekeeping and downturn staff were exceptional. Had drinks at the bar as Gold members receive two free drink vouchers. Staff was attentive and for the drink voucher you can actually get any cocktail or house champagne. The house champagne is Laurent Perrier brut!!! Normally other Sofitels give you a list of cheap wines or sparkling but here you can get Laurent Perrier. Also when we checked in our room was not yet available and we were able to clean up and shower if you wanted at the gym. Was clean and had private washrooms and showers and toiletries. Location is great. Phantom of Opera theatre is behind the hotel and Leicester square and picadilly circus is about 500 meters away. Are is close to shopping and transportation. Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Excellent Emplacement entre Piccadilly, Trafalgar et Buckingham. Hotel plein de charme dans un magnifique Bâtiment. Petit déjeuner bon et copieux (gouter les oeufs a la royal, un délice). Mais surtout une équipe attentive et souriante, merci a vous tous.
