St. Ermin's Hotel

St. Ermin's Hotel was a total unknown until it was recommended by Costco Travel for our family stay in London. It is hidden away behind the hedges and vines and opens up as you progress further toward the welcoming front entrance. There seemed to be someone out side all the time to help you with your bags, find you a cab or to just bounce a question off of. As you enter you are struck by the beauty of the lobby. It's a great place to meet or just sit and watch people go by. The staff was always ready to help out at the front desk. Our room was a wonderful king bedroom with every modern convenience you might need. The extra water and chocolate bars provided were great to have on a walking trip in London. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. They had just about everything anyone could want and the provided guest experience staff member, Mr. Yasin was a joy to talk to and bounce ideas for the day off of. Of course the best part is the location of St. Ermin's. It is literally a 10-15 minute walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Cathedral or Big Ben. Needless to say we really enjoyed our week at St. Ermin's and would highly recommend it! PS. The provided drinks and entertainment each weekday evening before dinner was a great way to wind down and talk about the days adventures.

Just visited with friends for the afternoon tea and we chose the bottomless option. The venue itself is lovely , in a great location and the tea is served in an upstairs tea lounge. The staff were so friendly, polite and attentive and the whole experience was great. The food was of great quality and was just the right amount for us, filling but not too heavy and the staff were very prompt at refilling our Cremant glasses and offering tea refills. I honestly couldn’t fault this hotel /tea and would highly recommend…

We have read and had a personal recommendation about this truly beautiful hotel. We were also greeted very warmly the first day however, I was disappointed with the less than 5 star treatment. First, the evening wine happy hour was held outside with minimal seating and so crowded for the small area. Nice gesture but seemed too chaotic. We asked for local dinner recommendations both nights and were sent to places that were so crowded that you couldn’t even get close to the door. Evidently, it is a popular area for after work business people. It would have been nice to be told this before walking so far. We did have the hotel breakfast buffet (not a part of our room). The lady sitting next to us raved about how good it was but once seated, the waiter made a point to ignore us, not once asking if we had everything we needed. They stopped at her table several times, even bringing her pudding but ignored us. It is definitely beautiful and a great location but sadly, would choose another place next time.

Wonderful! great breakfast, nice wine hour in the afternoons. Very good location. Comfortable rooms, helpful staff. I recommend the hotel.
