Designer Philippe Starck conceived St Martins Lane London as a surrealist wonderland viewed through the looking glass of classic British eccentric taste. Cheeky and daring with a touch decadent, the lobby and social spaces are signature Starck style. It’s fitting that the hotel is situated in the bustling theatre district in Covent Garden - it is pure drama. Just ask the garden gnomes; this is classic London with a seriously seductive twist. Floor-to-ceiling windows at St Martins Lane pull the cityscape into each guest room, offering a dramatic perspective on the energetic city below. The Tim Andreas of Banjo design rooms evoke a sense of spaciousness and luxury by using a mix of both naturally inspired and modern materials. The overall effect is an ethereal, yet sensuous experience.

The location is perfect, very central. There are many shops, restaurants and theatres near by. But still in the room it is very quiet. The place is clean. The service is good. Visar was very nice getting us to the room. And when we needed some recommendations and help from the front desk it was also good experience.

This is a decent hotel in a fine location, but it has its problems. First, it's expensive, like all well-located London hotels. Second, the room is quite small, with barely enough room for two people. However, the bathroom is decent sized. Third, a minor issue related to the room size. The desk chair is metal, and you cannot easily get by the chair when it is in use. If you are barefoot, you WILL stub your toe (or worse) on that chair. The hotel needs to do better here wth a different chair. There is one plug near the desk. That's not enough. And it's on the wall and hard to use. The too small desk really needs a power strip with USB ports. Service is fine and properly responsive.

Our home in London, a great hotel with a perfect location. As a regular visitor to St Martins Lane Hotel, we absolutely love the place. From our arrival from Phil, the team and concierge operations manager always greet us like we were here yesterday. A big shout out to Visa, Aldo, Dimitri, amongst others who always look after us. Then we have Fontina the Front Office Manager who has settled in to her role always with a smile, and her team at the front desk., including Simo, Aj, and Adam to name just a few. Need to see a show, or any advice? Just see Ilidio at the concierge desk or Jo always helpful and happy. Enjoy the rooms, which are very contemporary, from Deluxe Garden, superior Corner to fabulous suites, I think we have been them all and they all have one thing in common, consistency!! The best power shower you will ever get, to crisp white linen sheets in every visit. Yes we have stayed at the Dorchester, Comi Metropolitan, The Mayfair and many more over the years. But we always come back for more, and looking forward to our seventh and eighth visits in Nov/December. Yet another great stay!!
