It’s fitting that the hotel is situated in the bustling theatre district in Covent Garden - it is pure drama. Just ask the garden gnomes; this is classic London with a seriously seductive twist. Floor-to-ceiling windows at St Martins Lane pull the cityscape into each guest room, offering a dramatic perspective on the energetic city below. The Tim Andreas of Banjo design rooms evoke a sense of spaciousness and luxury by using a mix of both naturally inspired and modern materials. The overall effect is an ethereal, yet sensuous experience.

Nice, Centrally Located Hotel – A Bit Dated
St. Martin’s Lane, once celebrated as a modern, eclectic hotel designed by star designer Philippe Starck, is starting to show its age. There’s not much to complain about. The staff is friendly, everything is well maintained, and the overall experience is pleasant. However, the concept can no longer compete with newer boutique and designer hotels. The décor seems to have changed very little over the past 30 years, and as a result, you no longer see people lining up to get into the bar. A comprehensive refurbishment would do the hotel a lot of good. On the positive side, the rooms are exceptionally quiet. The windows are excellent—you hear absolutely nothing from the street or neighboring rooms. So despite being right in the city center, it’s a great place to relax and unwind.

Nice location decent hotel
Nice location, great staff, spacious rooms in comparison to other city hotels. Perhaps a bit worn our at times but all ok. Would stay again.

Sparkling dinner
Delightful dinner at the Sertac Dirik- great scallop and excellent service. Our waiter Gabriel was especially lovely and incredibly accommodating.

Had a Great Experience
Loved my time at St. Martin’s Lane Hotel. Incredibly well located, beautiful rooms, staff was so friendly and helpful (esp. my main man, Visar, the concierge who looked after us). This is my hotel in London moving forward. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Absolutely fabulous hotel
Fabulous stay and from the moment we arrived all the staff were helpful, friendly and happy. Gorgeous hotel and so clean, also love the quirky-ness! We went to the ballet at royal Opera house and so the location for there and Covent Garden was perfect. Another huge plus was The Blind Spot Bar; so after the ballet and a good old mooch around we got back to the hotel about 11.30pm and drank cocktails while a DJ was playing and it was just fab, absolutely great bar (spent a fortune but totally worth it 😂) also parking below the hotel if you’re driving. Breakfast superb, so yeah a bloody great hotel in our opinion and we will definitely be going back 😊
