Designer Philippe Starck conceived St Martins Lane London as a surrealist wonderland viewed through the looking glass of classic British eccentric taste. Cheeky and daring with a touch decadent, the lobby and social spaces are signature Starck style. It’s fitting that the hotel is situated in the bustling theatre district in Covent Garden - it is pure drama. Just ask the garden gnomes; this is classic London with a seriously seductive twist. Floor-to-ceiling windows at St Martins Lane pull the cityscape into each guest room, offering a dramatic perspective on the energetic city below. The Tim Andreas of Banjo design rooms evoke a sense of spaciousness and luxury by using a mix of both naturally inspired and modern materials. The overall effect is an ethereal, yet sensuous experience.

Celebrated my 60th birthday with family at this gem of a restaurant. We were greeted by Adan, a most attentive and courteous host who went through all the menu options in detail and also gave his favourites. The food was delicious and nobody in our table of 9 had any complaints. I enjoyed the beetroot and goats cheese salad followed by the sea bass. As it was my birthday I was presented with a small cake and a rendition of Happy Birthday from the staff. A very enjoyable evening and highly recommended.

Booked St. Martins with ALL points and cash for a one-nighter to visit a nearby theatre. Great location and great rooms. Not the best check-in experience (kept waiting t receive the key after checking-in earlier), but the staff made up for it afterwards with some great interactions.

We enjoyed our one-day stay so much. We didn't experience any issues and actually were surprised how seamless everything was. The room we got was spacious and exceptionally clean. The staff was helpful, special thanks to Vi. The food at the restaurant was also tasty of high quality. We will certainly return when visiting central London in the future. 10/10!

I stayed in London just 1 night before boarding the Queen Mary 2 to sail home. Frankly I booked this hotel because it was available through a hotel program I'm in and not really any other reason. When I arrived, I noticed it was much more modern/funky fresh than I would normally choose, but I think in a good way. I had asked for a room (Jr suite) near the elevators. It was literally next to the elevators! It's a corner unit and 2 walls are all glass. It's pretty impressive. The real standout though is the bathroom. Yes, it's huge. Yes it has a massive tub, separate from the steam shower. Yes it has a WC for some privacy. But 2 things really stood out. The bathroom has wash cloths! I don't know when wash cloths stopped being a thing but I'm not down with that. And the toiletries might be the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. And I travel well.
