The Stafford London

Wonderful caring staff, particularly the concierge team and hall porters many of whom have been at The Stafford for more than a decade. Also excellent is the dining room manager and staff… so courteous and skilled! We’ve been clients at The Stafford for over 30 years. A terrific location and lovely facility but it’s the staff that keeps us coming back!

We always stay in a Master Suite in the main house, requesting near the elevator, a walk-in shower, and a washlet toilet. The room was wonderful, beds comfy, pillows excellent. The concierge staff could not have been more helpful. One of them (I know his name, just can't say it! I'm sorry!) arranged a day-tour of the Cotswolds for us and it was exactly what we had requested; another happily took my motley raincoat and a few little grandchild gifts and arranged to send them home to the U.S. The cleaning staff was excellent, she seemed to keep such a close eye on our status (privacy or service), always so friendly and not disapproving about our habit of not leaving the room til noon. The sole meuniere in the Game Bird is as good (or better) than Scott's. As a 5-star hotel, we love The Stafford's understated style. It is a real gem, flying under the radar. We have stayed at Brown's, the Connaught, Claridges, and many others, but have settled down to The Stafford as our "home away" in London. Warm thanks for everything you do.

My family travels all over the world for business and leisure. The Stafford hotel in London has exceeded our expectations on every level. Our room was exquisitely appointed with the most beautiful bathroom and extra comfortable bedding. Every staff member has shown exemplary customer service. The food in the restaurant/bar was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. While we had other options in hotels to stay during our time in London, we are so happy that we chose to stay at the Stafford hotel and look forward to our return visit… Hopefully soon! Thank you to the entire staff at the Stafford London for taking such fine care of my family and myself during our time in the beautiful city of London!

The Stafford is without doubt our London home! We came back for an Easter break with our Grandchildren who are 9 & 14. They have been coming here for several years and love it. They have favourite members of staff that they look forward to seeing . When they walked into their room , there was hand painted eggs with their names on and a lovely card welcoming them back, it meant such a lot to them and to me too to see their faces . It is my son’s favourite hotel too , so we are keeping it in the family as it were . All the staff are helpful and friendly , nothing is too much trouble. We had a great afternoon in the American Bar , with the staff going out of their way to make the children happy with their food choices . When we come as a family there are excellent room combinations so we are close together making it easier to check in on the children. My husband and I also bring friends to stay at the Stafford and it is always an equally memorable time. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful place to stay in the absolute centre of London that is affordable and so delightful .

Situated in the St James area of London in a quiet street, we enjoyed our two night stay there and will almost certainly visit again. Our room basically had everything we needed with the large bed being very comfortable. There was one potential drawback, albeit not for us, and that was the bathroom which for some could be a problem as it was very narrow. With regards to the food, we only had dinner there one night but it was very good, made even more pleasant by the very personable staff, something noted with all the staff in all areas of the hotel. The hotel has a lively bar - the American bar - which serves a wide variety of drinks in a pleasant ambiance. It also has an outside seating area which was surprisingly in use by some brave souls given the outside temperature was a little on the cold side. Overall, a very good experience.
